I never had this idea but I entirely agree. Help Wanted shouldn't have been canon either, just a small spinoff that re-imagines the old games in VR.
If Security Breach had been a complete reboot of the story, and FNAF was split into Story A (Games 1-6) and Story B (SB+) ((and also didn't bring back Afton)) I wouldn't mind its existence.

If they had Vanny be under the control of William’s escaped subconscious form Glitchtrap (while the real William was in the UCN hell), as MatPat theorized years ago, I would’ve been fine with it, but they actually brought William himself back.

    • @capncake8837
      @capncake8837 8 дней назад

@@krisyphus I remember MatPat theorized that Glitchtrap was essentially a manifestation of William’s subconscious that had been accidentally scanned into Help Wanted while the real William was still in the UCN hell. Vanny was theorized to either be under Glitchtrap’s control or someone obsessed with William that was emulating his murders. This would’ve been a good way to pass the torch and create a new villain, but I guess they just had to bring the man himself back.

Fnaf over the year's has definitely change and that's okay I don't mind newer fnaf could it use more horror definitely. Sometimes I put into consideration that Scott has maybe lost his spark over the years with "Horror" that's why I think it's more targeted to goofiness and because it has a child like audience now :/.
Overall there are definitely positives with newer fnaf I think it's cool in a way that the animatronics are given personalities (it gives them more character). Also fnaf may have changed for the better or worst but the games have definitely gotten better with quality also there are so many creative voice actors that are joining fnaf.
But of course there are negatives like the game's being not scary anymore or not being dark and cramped. Also the personality thing I seen some people get mad at that because it "ruined" the fnaf 1 animatronics in the movie.
    Fan content
The reason why I bring this up is because I think the VHS tape videos are a big influence on older fans who wanted the fnaf movie to be this creepy bloodbath.
Furthermore we are all getting older I know it's basic to say but it's the truth we start being more critical and honest with things, not because we hate it because we care for it and want to see this franchise actually succeed more. Plus most of us are not kids anymore we are starting to like other things just like how some like old fnaf and call it the "best era" watch when the newer fans get older they will probably call this new era the "best one" too only time will tell and remember to....
Have a Faz amazing day :)

Personally, I disagree but respect your views!
I definitely understand that people aren't happy with the new direction, but personally, I'm excited about it!
I'm an enjoyer of the series for mostly the gameplay, and because of that, SB is personally one of my favorites in the franchise, only behind FNaF 1.
I also really like the movie and the direction it's taking, minus the less jumpscares.
Taking things from the games but having a different timeline and telling the story in a slightly different way, I really like it and definitely the way it should be to not confuse the average audience.
Like, imagine if the sequel turns out to be a prequel?
This would absolutely make the story super confusing for a regular audience!
PG13 was also the right call to make this movie in, especially since the games are 13+ themselves!
Also, I view FNaF as a thriller franchise more than scary because while it has creepy moments, especially FNaF 1, those moments don't really scare me much anymore, especially the jumpscares.
But hey, these are just my opinions, and I absolutely respect yours, Superstar!
    Have a great day!
And lastly, I ABSOLUTELY HATE POLITICS AND I ABSOLUTELY AGREE THAT WHAT HAPPENED TO SCOTT WAS ONE OF THE DUMBEST THINGS EVER!!!!!!

You're the person who's a big fan of classics, which is completely understandable and cool!
I'm more of a person who's in the middle, meaning that I really like the classic and new titles for different reasons.

Security Breach and Ruin feels like they don't go with the rest of the games not just the atmosphere but lore wise as well. It feels just like what happened with The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom they throw out the the original lore. Something happened with Security Breach in development you can tell by the lore we got in both help wanted 1 and AR and by the voice lines in the first 2 trailers of SB. It first looked like Vanny was going to be a copy cat of Afton trying to bring him back that would have been better than what we got with both SB and Ruin. And I don't think it all had to do with covid or dumb politics or the pressure of the fans and the release of the Ps5 and the delays yes some of it is a mix of all that. But when is comes to the delays the game first started to get delayed before most of that happened.

FNAF is still dealing with missing kids, therapists, muredred employees, ghosts, and heck, you can even see a corpse-thing in the Maskbot in Ruin! And in the books, the Mimic kills and dismembers people in such a graphic way! (And i know most poeple don't read the books, which is fine, but i had to throw that in there) FNAF is STILL dealing with the same topics and implied gore it did 10 years ago! I don't really get why people say "FNAF is not gory anymore!", like if it ever was.
And i get your frustration with the story. But... Afton is not back. Afton is most liekly dead, and might be just an AI replicating William Afton's behaviour. But i still get that the story is getting overcomplicated and is very hard to follow. And that's okay. It's a very fair criticisim.
However, i cannot stress how... obnoxious this is. It seems like only the Steel Wool game most old fans like is the one that is literally about the games made by Scott. It's not original, and it's not new. Then Security Breach comes out, and it was a whole mess, and we were all disappointed. People wanted to go back to the time where we were just playing in a dark and dusty office. They give us that same thing in Ruin, but oh no, didn't like it! Try again!
And about the FNAF movie... it's a totally fair opinion if you personally didn't like it. But that's not the case for almost the 90% of the people wo watched it. Not just new FNAF fans, but also a lot of people who left the fandom in 2015, and they still liked the movie. The movie is not bad just because you didn't like it. Again, it's absolutely fair if you disliked it, but that not only doesn't make it bad, but that's just not how most people reacted to it. If 90% people disliked it, the movie would (Not only have to be REALLY bad to get so many people displeased) be actually very very bad. It's mostly good because most fans enjoyed it. And again, if you didn't, then that's fine, but your opinion doesn't make it bad (I know i'm not explaining myself good, that's why i repeat things over and over).
It's also such a double-standard to say "Most people met FNAF when they were kids", and then say "They should no longer make FNAf for kids!", when FNAF was never more than PG13, nor in 2014, nor in 2019, nor in 2024. FNAF was never for adults. And i understand your point of view, you no longer feel included in the new games as an older fan. The thing is... that's what Steel Wool has been trying to make. They gave us a bad game, saw that people didn't like it, and took all the criticism to make something better. They made Ruin, dark, linear, all dirty and with a much better story. But, no, didn't like it. And it's okay if you think that FNAF is not the same anymore, but changing is not an option. FNAF is pretty much the same, it deals with the same topics, in the same manner, and even keeps old plotpoints and reuses them again, it's just too overcomplicated when it has to exist alongside the older games. FNAF's audience has always been kids, and the kids are not the problem (I know you don't say they are). Your problem is that FNAFl struggles to find a way to attract new young audiences, and keep pleasing to keep the old ones.
Or maybe the thing is that... you're no longer the way you used to be when you first met FNAF. You should replay any of the old games. You will most likely not be too scared, because FNAF is not a heavy-horror game. Now, we can find horror in absolutely any other place, and much scarier games. And that's not to say that the FNAF games were never scary, but that most of us are not too sensitive to their horror anymore.
I don't know if i explained myself well...

    • @seanfleck9368
      @seanfleck9368  21 день назад +6

I love your comment, I love the passion you clearly have. But I think we may have a misunderstanding.
And it's my fault I could have worded my video better in places the fact is fnaf will never be the same and that is a good thing, I don't hate the new games (upset with story and tone atmosphere etc) and the movie just in my opinion was disappointing that doesn't make it a bad movie everything I said in my video is a personal opinion its not objective but I used us instead of I or me in places my bad, I have another video in the works and i do acknowledge I was too harsh on the later games and movie. I want to make it clear I enjoy em but I still can be disappointed lol.
Also change is inevitable as I said change is good if fnaf was still point and click in a dusty dark office I'd be complaining lol I'm looking for a cool middle ground. The dark stuff in the newer games is there it's just that there's so little of it call me a horror nerd lol anyways sorry if the vid upset you thankyou for watching and taking the time to point out that I was wrong in places I accept I was ill try do better in the next one thanks bud 😃

I only got into the series around the time the movie came out. I watched some retrospective and lore videos to get an idea for the tone and then watched playthroughs of the first 4 games to see how things went down, because I try not to go into adaptations blind. As a superhero fan, I'm used to movies taking a lot of liberties with stories, so I've lowered my expectations to just getting the character personalities right (which, at least to me, most of them haven't done in a long time). I was pleased to see that Afton was still a serial killer, the animatronics were taken seriously and that the kids were actually pretty devious despite being victims, so it felt like the movie got the feel of the first 4 games as well as it could have. That said, I'm sorry the movie fell short for a longer-time fan like you and I'm sure I'd be disappointed if I knew the series as well as others do (I was disappointed that Freddy's nose never honked, even though that wouldn't have been scary, heh heh). Unfortunately, movies that do well have a tendency to either not help the source material at all (superhero movies don't improve superhero comic sales) or, worse, start influencing it to be more like the movie. It sounds like FNAF already lost its edge by now, but I sure hope that the movies don't start dictating things for the games.
As for the series as a whole, I only watched the first 4 games because everything with Remnant and Umbrella Corp-esque underground facilities sounded way off-base for this series and started changing its tone in ways I didn't care for. I love superheroes and I love Resident Evil, but superheroes and RE were always larger than life, so putting those things into FNAF was a huge change for me; going from a grounded story of the permanent consequences of a serial killer and the unknown nature of the afterlife and even had a nice bit of cynicism that the whole case was solved long before FNAF 3 even started. With all of these labs and soul-juices and conspiracies within conspiracies, however, it's like FNAF became a different series even before Security Breach. I'm sorry the way things turned out left you behind, especially when I'm sure it'd be easy to put a lot of money into child-appeal games likely to grab a large audience with things like Security Breach while simultaneously only paying out small sums of money for scaled-back games like FNAF 1-4 for adult fans, since horror seldom needs a lot of money to work. Two series at once, with the more critical series needing way less money to get by and the expensive one being better-suited to be mainstream.

I love the series as a whole.
But both eras have pros and cons the older games are a bit lackluster in terms of gameplay but they're still a great time same with the newer stuff lackluster in horror etc but still a great time.
And as I said at the start of the video fmaf isn't for one sole demographic it's for everyone to enjoy but I feel some may have not heard that part or ignored it amd thought I was arguing the series is for adults only lol. I entirely agree with everything in this video. In current times, the games feel like more of a cash grab and more of an attempt at trying to appeal to younger audiences to sell merchandise. I still enjoyed the last few games but they aren't really horror games anymore. I remember watching/playing fnaf 1-4 and being scared to death, especially 1, but I played through security breach relatively still faced just hoping for something. And something about the gritty and dark look to the original games was so unsettling especially bonnie in fnaf 1. I truly believe the series was supposed to end at Pizza simulator and if scott wasnt attacked for his own political beliefs that it wouldve ended there, or atleast continued in the same art and play style. The change from a darker look or atleast a 2D to a 3D environment I think has really ruined the game, and the fact that the base gameplay is vastly different and truly doesnt feel like fnaf anymore :/.

Good video, mate. Nice quality and editing, definitely subscribing (and gonna watch that Scooby Doo video you posted a couple weeks ago, that looks like a good watch).
(Wow, just read back through what I wrote. That's, like, 10 paragraphs long down there. My bad, I've been holding back some of these observations for a long time. There's a TLDR at the bottom if you don't want to read the wall of text I just spat out. Reading it back, I would not recommend reading the full thing, holy shit, that is embarrassingly long and very scattered.)
I can see where you're going with this, and you have made some points I agree with, but I do have some things to add (not all of which are strictly related to things covered in your video).
People always seem to act as if there's a strict divide between the 'mature audience' and the 'child audience'. There isn't. A lot of people who enjoy FNAF for it's goofier, more lighthearted moments are children, sure. But I know plenty of older fans who enjoy the goofier stuff more than the scary stuff, and vice versa. People really like to belittle the more goofy side by calling them 'childish', and it really discredits the actual point of the matter. It feels like we've collectively refused to let go of the perspective of things made to be goofy or funny being 'cringey', well into our older years.
Earlier in the franchise, I knew a lot of people who liked FNAF because it was different. It didn't need over-designed body horror antagonists to be scary, because it knew how to do atmosphere. But I also knew other people who liked it because it was popular, or because of the gameplay, or the scares, or the story. Over time, FNAF has shifted between emphasizing these factors. FNAF 1 emphasized atmosphere. FNAF 2 emphasized gameplay. FNAF 3 emphasized the story. FNAF 4 emphasized scares. And the different eras had more general focuses. FNAF 1-4 focused on atmosphere overall, building up the player's anxiety, fear, and panic throughout their runtime. FNAF SL & FFPS focused on the story, drawing people in with the tale of a man who abused powers that he shouldn't have had, and bringing pain and despair to everyone around him, until he was finally forced to face consequences. FNAF UCN through HW2 focused on gameplay, keeping you engaged through their mechanics and the feeling of achievement felt when you finally beat something you've been struggling with.
Of course, Security Breach is where the problem with that starts to rear it's head. It was over-ambitious from the start, and deep down, I think we all knew that it was never going to live up to the hype. Things were removed for the sake of time, and, despite several delays, they still couldn't release what was planned. And, in that, it lost it's focus. There wasn't one. For the first time in any FNAF game, there wasn't a focus on any of the above, because it was lost in the scramble to get out a game on time. And that's where FNAF really lost it's core audience. I don't think I know anybody who thinks Security Breach is a 'good' game, regardless of what age they are, or what half of the community they're in. The real thing that everybody misses is that, in the absence of a real focus, people chose the parts that did exist, that stook out to them most. The speedrunning part of the community latched onto the gameplay portion, making their own fun of it. The fan content-centered part of the community latched onto the 'story' (If you can call it that. It was really moreso the characters.), using the more developed characters as a vessel to tell their own stories, as the community has been doing for nearly a decade now. (I feel like a lot of people ignore the fact that this sort of stuff has existed for a long time, acting as if it's a problem with younger people. It isn't. If you don't gag at the mere mention of the name 'Vincent', then you have a glaring blindspot in this franchise's history.) But with the horror-focused part of the community, many felt unsatisfied with the game, and for good reason. The atmosphere and scares in the game were lacking, even compared to the gameplay and story. So, they grew annoyed and restless.
The beginnings of this sort of thing could be seen in FNAF 3, but even then, people could mostly agree that Springtrap was a good addition for the horror aspect of the franchise, and the overlap between that fan-content and horror-loving parts of the community would eventually give rise to FNAF's analogue horror sub-community. But in Security Breach, there wasn't that sort of unifying aspect. Where Springtrap kept the community together, Security Breach's Vanny or Burntrap failed to capture that same horror factor in themselves. The potential was there, and some groups clung to that, again making their own fan content around that potential. But for the parts of the horror-centric community that weren't interested in fan content, it felt like a slap in the face from the franchise they enjoyed. Things have been shifting for years, but Security Breach was a breaking point for the community, because it fumbled the ball, and didn't have the same unifying aspect that kept the community from tearing itself apart into factions.
Notice the similarities between something like Security Breach and FNAF World. Back in the day, FNAF World was almost universally panned, but nowadays, as the speedrunning community has grown, the appreciation for FNAF World has grown. But FNAF World didn't really grow it's own community in full until after Security Breach, because of the divide between parts of the community growing wider, and the stigma about it not being scary losing it's weight.
Nowadays, there's a very palpable animosity from the horror-centric parts of the community towards the other parts of the community. I don't mean to diminish the feelings of frustration regarding the games being less scary and having less atmosphere, as those are very valid complaints, and ones I agree with. But I do have to say, I feel as if this divide wouldn't have been anywhere near as severe or dramatic if Security Breach had lived up to it's potential. Imagine, if you will, a world where Security Breach had lived up to it's potential. A solid, relatively bug-free game that balanced it's kid-friendly persona with a deeply unnerving atmosphere. A place that put on a happy show to lure in it's victims. Along with a solid story that could stand on it's own, one of corporate greed leading higher-ups to turn a blind eye to the actions of one of their employees, carrying on the legacy of death that followed the company. A madwoman working under the delusional desire to continue the legacy of a man that's still suffering through a purgatory of his own creation. A game with a good atmosphere, a solid story that doesn't rely on dragging up the dead, good gameplay, and more scares than thrills. Imagine a world where that was the game that we got. Do you think anybody would be having near as many problems with HW 1 or 2 as they are now? Or the FNAF movie? I genuinely don't.
(That's long, here's a TL;DR. People are manufacturing an age divide that is unsubstantiated in reality. The FNAF games have shifted focus between atmosphere, story, gameplay, and horror a lot between titles. FNAF 3 dropped the ball in terms of atmosphere and gameplay, but the general agreement that Springtrap as the Purple Guy was a positive addition kept the community from falling apart at the time. Security Breach, on the other hand, dropped the ball, and it's rushed release kept it from having a focus at all. Where FNAF World was universally panned at release because the community was still together, one can see that nowadays it has it's own community of speedrunners who enjoy the game - this being a result of the widening divide between the horror-centric parts of the community and everybody else, and the fact that the majority of Security Breach's sustained audience is comprised of speedrunners. The horror-centric part of the community seems to look down on the other parts of the community and brand them all as 'children', and the divide probably wouldn't have been near as bad as it is today if Security Breach had been a good game, instead of a buggy, rushed mess. Then again, a different divide probably would've taken it's place, like back in the day with the faction of the community that absolutely despised Sister Location.)
Anyways, well-written video, good editing, nice style - Keep up the good work, sport.

I have two big problems with Security Breach.
One of them is the sheer pathetic way they censored any verbal mentions of blood or killing. It just comes across as silly. For example in the beginning of the game when Vanessa is first introduced, Gregory says, in a rather forced way, "I don't know who she is but she's trying to get me!". That sounds less like someone in serious danger and more like someone playing tag. Another one is when you're in the tunnels and Freddy says, "I feel you are broken", when the original line in the script says, "I am detecting blood". It just comes off as Sony or Steel Wool desperately trying to keep the game in a PG-13 rating and all in all, just feels pathetic.
My second problem is how they severely nerfed Vanny and cut her out of the story. In the trailers, she was clearly hinted to have a much bigger role as the series' new villain. In the final game, she's barely fucking there! She does fuck all and is completely sidelined by the rest of the characters. And then Ruin doubled down and went, "Oh by the way, the mimic character from the books is actually the new villain! Surprise!". Make up your fucking mind, guys!

Man I agree with you the original games worked so well, one of the aspects of those games were that they careered to adults and children just like the companies slogan for children and adults alike. But the newer games ignore the adult fanbase something I think alot of people missed, ignored, or forgot about my video.

  • @Spencycle
    @Spencycle 21 день назад +3

Unpopular opinion: I enjoy the recent games. I know, I know, the most controversial thing anyone has ever said. But just LOOK at the design quality of Ruin and HW 2. Right off the bat you can tell Steel Wool is devoting their whole lives to these games. The story of Ruin is very easy to get invested in. I know it's not the scariest game in the world, but parts of it were a little scary and honestly I'm more into the story of Fnaf than the gameplay. SW definitely learned from their mistakes back in SB. I, like many others, thought that the franchise had truly fallen off when SB came out, but I gave it another chance with Ruin, and that was the best decision I ever made. One of the most amazing comebacks of a game series I've ever seen.
Then HW 2 came out. A continuation of arguably the best game in the series, HW. HW has always had a special place in my heart due to its vintage quality and horror element. But HW 2 improved the models, animation, and lighting by a lot. As for scariness, it's definitely a step up from Ruin. The minigames were the perfect combination of stressful and fun. I love the cinematic quality of the Carousel and DJMM games. I also love the mysterious quality of the game. Those secret mystic hippo messages really add to the level of mystery that we've all come to love about this series. The action figures and memory plushies add an element of being on a mission, but you don't know what the mission is. The PQ ending had a banger soundtrack and was very high quality. It seems this ending finally put an end to the Mimic sci-fi era, which many people are glad about. And next we're getting an Into the Pit game, which seems to fit the vintage Fnaf vibe a lot more than the previous games have.
As for the complaints about the flashy design of the games not feeling like Fnaf, we shouldn't let the design define the series. If you look at the direction that the lore is going in, with the circus and the constant references to the origins of Freddy's, I really think SW is steering the lore in a direction that will satisfy long-time Fnaf fans a lot more. And no, it's not a retcon. We've been hearing about the circus lore since the Silver Eyes came out.
So that's the small novel I just wrote on why I still love Fnaf. Of course, this is just my opinion. If you're not into Fnaf, that's okay. But I'm tired of scrolling past thumbnail after thumbnail saying "FNAF IS DEAD??????????!!!!???!!???!!!??" Way too much criticism. After all, change and story development is necessary for any series to survive. Steel Wool dipped their toes into a new genre, found out it didn't work, and now they're steering into a much better category. Give them time, guys. Thanks so much for reading all this. You're clearly not a doom scroller.

Fnaf so badly needs a proper Reboot right now, a complete rewrite of the story with new games and an actually planned lore who you don't need to read 50+ books to catch a glimpse of and his instead actually showed in games? Something begining with Fredbear's all the way up to a mash up between fnaf 3 and Pizza sim. (Fnaf 3's location, good ending and springtrap are so iconic, so why not trow in Ennard into the bunch and have Henry's speech in the final night? Since both games essentially tried to do the same thing, why not mix the best of both? You don't even have to change Henry's speech at all, it works perfectly for fnaf 3!)

To me, Scott seemed to be pretty good with taking ideas and using them. F.N.A.F.1 is perfect because it took concepts like a pizzeria with animatronics, kids entertainment, and mascot costumes, and twisted to make an interesting story. Talking about the M.C.I.
F.N.A.F.1 succeeded because it took those concepts. The later games expanded on this.
It was a simple game, had a basic yet distinguishable cast, a small pizzeria, an eerie tone, dark atmosphere, great use of hauntings, Phoney the Guy, and some music.
As I said, the later games (2-7) expanded upon this but to me, never captured the feel of the first game. F.N.A.F.2 was too bright and too big. F.N.A.F.3 wasn’t unsettling because the point of it was meant to be scary but that doesn’t make it scary if it’s intentional. F.N.A.F.4 was also close, maybe even closer than 3, but the animatronics looked goofy to me. F.N.A.F.5 was quite dark and in my opinion is the best behind 1 but there wasn’t enough. F.N.A.F.6 salvage section are great as it’s the player in front of an animatronic and the fear is “Oh god, please don’t jump at me.” and the errieness and dark atmosphere is perfection but the night section didn’t capture it, still good though, better than 2 in my opinion as the player is absolutely defenseless like in 3 and needs to get the animatronics away and unlike 3, can’t block the vents. I also like the contrast between the pizzeria simulator with the dark undertones that are the two other sections I mentioned. F.N.A.F.7 isn’t scary, it’s insanity which I guess is scary?
    So yee :)

While I completely agree with this. I thinks that they also are a few things that people usually tend to forget or put aside and are extremely important:
    1. The games, story and universe hasn't done a 180 turn with security breach only. It actually all the way began back in Sister location with Scott's dad jokes and sense of humor, wich worked in this game because it was subtle enough to not become otherwelming.
Then he went further in pizza sim by portrailing Fasbear Untertainment as absolutely ridiculous and with the day sequences where you build your own pizzeria.
Scott wasn't and still isn't a fan of horror, deciding to progressively shift from it as to turn terrifying bloodied mascots into marketable lovable characters who appeal to childrens overtime. For instance, in the movie, the part about the bodies of the kids being inside the suits is breathly touched upon and then forgotten. You can't have that in the fnaf movie! overwise the fort scene would mean the cute purple bunny who comically falls onto the ground is a walking coffin! We can't do that! Think about the kids! Think about the money!
    2. Science fiction quicky spread trought ever since Sister location and the two sequels to the Silver eyes novel came out. Progressively replacing/rewriting the rather grounded, dark and mysterious parts of the universe into absurdity.
Thinks like how animatronic possession was "explained" with Remnant (wich we still don't understand anything about). Or how the Silver eyes trilogie was ruined by Charlie being a fucking robot that somehow bleeds, eat, shits and breathes without ever being explained.....
Theses wtf scy-fy lore dumbs can be explained by Scott being a science fiction lover..... but it went way to far, way to fast. And the once pretty grounded horror story about ghosts trapped inside animatronics and wanting revenge is gone now.....

@@seanfleck9368 It's a pleasure, I have been studing this franchise since fnaf 3 and have progressively lost intrest with sister location, up untill it sparked back again once more in the recent years.....
I don't really care about games and lore outside of the first book and the original 7 games (fnaf world is mostly being put aside while it's release and first uptate was meant to explain fnaf 4, while uptate 2 served as a teaser of some sort to Sister location)
Pizza sim, while an okay game, has never really sparked my intrests, all of the returning animatronics in this game are just worse iterations of theirs original counterparts, (Scraptrap aside, Molten dosn't even comes close to the the absolute horror of Ennard, Lefty's alright, but an actual puppet would have been nice, as for Srapped baby.....
Scott only separated her from Ennard due to complains about not seeing Circus baby enough in her own game..... wich is a fair trade, however.... How did she rebult herself from the ground up? And why is she suddenly trying so desperatly trying to please the father who she has manipulated, betrayed and scooped for the sake of survivial (We know that was Micheal in the end, but the Funtimes thought that he was William...)
Pizza sim to me is overrated, while it certainly does have good gameplay and atmosphere everything else falls flat in comparaison to the ealier titles of the series (To me at least). What I also didn't liked was how it's more than just implied that Molten (aka Ennard/The Funtimes, are just the MCI..... effectlively marking the good ending of fnaf 3 as not canon..... for some reasons?
It dosn't even mather anymore since they decided to bring everyone back for Security Breach.... up untill the community just couldn't put up with this shit anymore so they just went Mimic mode, and even then that's just William in all but name..... if it looks like a duck, moves like a duck and squeeks like a duck.... It's probably not a goose...
I am disapointed to see how this series has turned out.... With a developper that has been wanting to move on from his creation ever since fnaf 3 and litteraly self inserted himself in fnaf world to say so, only to continue because he trully wants to please his community who has been nothing but rude, divided and has seen several of it's prominent members being accused of unspeakable crimes....
Scott takes every critism for granted, that's how fnaf was born after all, to me he just dosn't know how to let his baby go..... as whatever diection he choses for it will be questionned and refused by literally everyone, hence the movie tried to please everyone yet somewhat fails to do so.....
To me, Pizza sim should have ended it by happening only a few weeks after fnaf 3, and having og Springtrap, Ennard, the Puppet and Golden Freddy in it (Cassidy's spirit only, if you believe in the two souls theory) while not actually having any MCI souls in Ennard/The Funtimes because Remnant shouldn't have been a thing in the first place...
They should have prehaps been another set of dead kids entirely, or prehaps if you really want to keep Remnant, the souls of the kids who supposely haunts the toy animatronics after being scrapped.... that way the Fnaf 3's good ending would have been undoubtably canon while at the same time bringing new light on another long lasting question that's been most likely redconned: The Toys? possessed by the second group of kids William murdered? Yes or nah?...
And that's how (To me) you end up this story in a way that benefits everyone.....

It really feels like fnaf 1 and the help wanted games are the only good ones. Every game after fnaf 1 has too many problems.
    Fnaf 2: mechanics and toy chica’s design…
    Fnaf 3: springtrap’s jumpscare
Fnaf 4: you need high volume to hear the animatronics breathing but that also means the jumpscares will destroy your ears.
Fnaf world: I actually think it’s alright but I’ve heard that it’s not a good RPG from somewhere.
Sister Location: the mini games aren’t good and circus baby is barely in it. (Mainly from that one video from Uh Yeah)
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator (fnaf 6): scraptrap…I guess? Also the office gameplay. I honestly don’t hate scraptrap’s design. I think the idea is cool but Scott couldn’t make it work properly. There are good redesigns like from The ooftroop.
UCN: too many characters and jumpscares bad. I get the jumpscare one but too many characters feels really stressful to deal with instead of being too overwhelmed to even slightly be panicking. Like, I guess if you’ve played it a lot you won’t be scared but for the first time you play it and you don’t know what you’re doing, you’d definitely be panicking at the sheer amount of characters you have to deal with. The whole game’s a custom night. If too many characters are an issue just turn most of them off… oh yeah, there’s DD. I guess the atmosphere could be better, the office is kinda bright and not dark enough but I guess it would be hard to see all the references to the past games and it would ruin the nice homage, but who needs that? We need fnaf games to be so scary that we won’t be able to sleep again. No flaws allowed for the community. We can’t have one game that’s slightly less scary, we need to go all out like fnaf 4 kinda did. But then that’s too much.
Security breach: many glitches, weird story, missed opportunities from scrapped content like Freddy getting shattered and using all the upgrades you gave him against you and the voicelines are something from an emotional scene in a movie, Vanny barely showing up when she’s meant to be the main antagonist pretty much. Vanny should have been constantly chasing you at some point, at least then that might be something terrifying, always an enemy that’s on you (although with the glitches it would probably be more annoying than scary). And even when you consider the ruin DLC, which kinda fixed some of the issues like the pizzaplex being too bright and not scary… a certain guy said it was boring and it led to fnaf plus never getting released.
Don’t know if I should count the fnaf movie since it’s not a game but it has so many unfortunate flaws. I’d say it’s not terrible by any means and if a fnaf fan sees it then they’ll probably enjoy it but it’s just so sad we waited this long and it didn’t turn out to be a masterpiece. I guess you can still rush a movie that takes a couple of years to even just pick a script that Scott is satisfied with. It’s a real shame that fnaf can’t capture the amazing spark it once had but I do hope the future isn’t dark since I was a fnaf fan basically when there was only fnaf 1 and we didn’t have hundreds of books and goofy funko merch. I don’t know why fnaf has gotten more “kid friendly” when I myself was not even that old when fnaf 1 came out and I didn’t have nightmares of Bonnie or Freddy 24/7.
