This is more gold for creating unique sounds and very helpful for people like me who are ne to synths. This is my favorite music channel because it is one of the few that touch on the style and type of sounds I love and want to create.
The interface of this Korg Triton is excellent. Very handy for creating presets. Great to learn how you start from an initialized preset and make something that's very useful for recording. Many thanks. 🎹
Been doing this for months now because of you. Nice to see the similarities in workflow when creating patches. one of the difference is me adsr'ing later on.
I’ve got a Yamaha SY55 and people slate it so much coz it’s a just rompler but with a bit of patience, filtering, LFOs and effects it can get some amazing sounds
Thank you so much for taking the time to put out these videos. I've been working with sounds and VSTs like this for some years now, but I always learn a new trick every time I watch one of these.
Awesome, tutorials on how to actually design patches in Romplers are very rare and you explained everything perfectly. You also pretty much made a "nice chords for atmospheric DnB" tutorial here since we see the notes you play in the piano section. Thank you for showing once again how it's done 👏
triton VST is incredible. i decided to make my patches in combi mode because sometimes two layers isn't enough. you explained the process of making a pad well, especially reaching for sound effects as textural layers and exploiting the pitch/speed relationship to get interesting textures.
amen. combination mode is god tier. 8 programs stacked up! crazy. also incredibly easy on the VST version to modify the programs inside of combination mode. no flipping back and forth between two modes. thanks mate!
Fantastic! I’ve never seen anyone show how to create patches from scratch in the Triton. Most treat it as only a rompler playback engine and do not go down the path of exploring sound creativity. Thanks!
ooof, the original original was incredibly slow. changing menus or screens took a second to register. they did do something in the extreme keyboard version, screen changes were more quick, which was nice
@@micindir4213it's fine, nothing really hard, I have a Karma that has Triton sounds but the screen's height is 1/2 of Triton's and when you know what you're doing the menu system isn't complex at all, I've learnt it in like 1.5 hours. Sure using mouse on a large screen with VST is much faster.
Hey! I just discovered your channel and it's a gem for me. As music composer I always tried to make D&B just for fun and this is a nice way of learning. Your soundcloud is top🔥! Will hear more over there.
Great tutorial, I'm going to use some of these techniques with my modWave. It's got the ability to load multisamples in addition to wavetable, so lots of opportunity for fun layering.
my process is to make some weird patch in some synth, record some notes (typically either just C, C with octaves, or occasionally fifths), run it thru a bunch of effects, maybe resample and put it thru more effects, and then once it's done, pitch it up until it's high enough so that in quick sampler it'll sound a little aliased but not too aliased. since it's one note, you can eq harmonics, tune resonators for it, have spectral stuff that works well with it, whatever, and that's all baked in
@@carlosnavarro3725 yea i’d like to eventually. maybe once i get around to freeing up some space to not feel like i have to rush thru recording. maybe i could go thru existing pads i’ve made and show it with each additional effect, resample, whatever
@@morgan0this is pretty much exactly what I do! I make weird textures with software modular (VCV Rack) and sample it into Pigments to make pads and sound effects. I made a tutorial on my channel which didn't get thousands of views, maybe it was too specific. The same technique works with hardware modular/samplers and outboard synths, or different sampling software (Vital instead of Pigments for example), anything really. You can also just grab the Korg VSTs in demo mode and sample the romplers for free 😉
Oh yeah. There is nothing wrong with messing up presets and saving them (or not). That's a way to learn how to sound design like the video says basically. I've been doing that for years.
Hey. Thank you for your videos. It's very inspiring. Tbh I walked into troubles from the get go. After I made an init preset and tried to draw an amplitutede like you do, sound after playing on the keybord is too damn low. Do you know where the problem can be?
Always recommend getting one with the most IO possible for future expansion. 8 in / out is solid, will typically be rack mount at that size. Presonus has some good stuff
@@Thought-Forms lol i did it. It should be soon it honestly wasn't expensive but i have a feeling they won't be cheap for long. lol. Lets see what gear i end up with next lol
Make a video on how to upload soundbanks to the triton. Bought your packs but theres no way to upload or install them. Pretty ballsy to sell an unusable product...

spot on, sounds like it!
i freaked out
this was so clutch and i think could help anyone design pads in almost any type of synth
love to hear that! thats the goal. learn the concepts themselves, which then allows you to translate to nearly anything

Agreed, they did a solid job on the UI! Super easy to navigate, especially compared to the originally hardware. Cheers mate
Same engine is working in all korg platforms since mid 90ies. Says something

awesome synth! the sy55 can do some really nice / gritty sounds, and some really nice FX type sounds
Dwayne and Cevin, of skinny puppy, used the SY-77. And those two albums(too dark park/last rights) are fucking nuts!!!
Edde Edman used SY-77 in the song Feels Like A Wish @@JackPeloquin

Thanks my friend. Romplers don't get enough love for the endless possibility that can be achieved within them. Glad you enjoyed the tasty chord too
Quickly becoming one of my new favourite channels. Very motivating to just get up and try things.
thanks Duncan! love to hear it. keep grinding
Really cool video, love the Triton VST.
thanks! triton vst is one of the best things to come out in the past 10 years
Thanks for dropping this data💽💽, you are amazing.🔥
You are heaven sent my dude. So many great tricks and love your attitude. Thanks from a female producer 🤗
love this video ! looking forward to see the rest of them :)

Goated upload by goated RUclipsr for goated topic in goated quality, absolutely goated
That's exactly what I needed now to level up my productions, thank you so much ❤
Great video. I have the korg VST but will also try these techniques on Roland cloud JD800 and D50. These were known for their cool pad sounds too.
Thanks mate. Cant go wrong with JD800 or D50, same technique will definitely apply to those as well. Enjoy!

Navigate to the product pages on Gumroad, each product has a "how to install" video linked. Follow the steps closely. I can assure you, they work
I wish there was less rambling on and more ambient pad creation
