Super impressed with your explanation of mitochondrial DNA. Thank you. I've always had trouble understanding it until now.

What makes different identifying features of various races in humans...slanted eyes, sharper nose, thicker lips etc.?

Would any of you have any idea how much meat the hunter gatherer homo sapien would have eaten. i guess the vegetation was quite poor.

Very interesting! Couldn't it just as well be native Americans who went west bringing the sweet potato with them, instead of Polynesians going east?

Of course anyone who’s spent a decent amount of time outdoors instinctually knows that the chance of us outpacing Neanderthals on this planet are about nil.

Peking Man? Man is for Mankind, it is just an English oddity that Man is for Mankind and Man is for a male member of Mankind. Let us not get too hung up on these kind of things. Surly we a smart enough to know the difference.

What is really interesting about our African ancestors is that the American Sasquatch which science does not admit as real even is descended from Howler Monkeys and has an enormous amount of human dna. What agency did this involve? Huh? This creature is being spoken of every day by people not seeking notoriety in any way on the net. People are finally free to speak of their meetings with this creature and not be lambasted by scientists not able to hike the woods were they seem to be worldwide, including the Mediterranean in ancient times with what was called hairy man hunts. Why is this never exposed as true? What agenda do these control freaks have that is producing people who have seen these beings being ridiculed to the point of insanity. Why?

Just curious if you've ever studied a biology concept called "effective population size"? Reason I ask is because presumably not all Sasquatch can interbreed as they live in various pockets around the United States, so based on effective population size for Homo sapiens how many Sasquatch are necessary to sustain a population from detrimental inbreeding?

Out of Africa is only debunked by racist people who do not want to admit that they evolved from Africans.

Out of Africa is certainly not "debunked" but there is some emerging evidence that casts some doubt on it as being concrete and absolute. The Mutliregional hypothesis has been rejected, primarily through genetics pointing directly at Africa as the source of ancestral dispersal, but there is gene flow into the modern humans from Neanderthal and Denisovan in Eurasia, and further genetic influx from other unknown archaic hominids as well, including African populations. There is still more that we do not know than what we do know, but we are closing a lot of gaps in recent years with advances in genetic studies in Neanderthals and Denisovans as well as the discovery of new contemporary hominin species we did not know existed 20 years ago.
