The Sohyang issue with Filipino is a bit sensitive so I was surprised you even thought of opening it up publicly . KPOP is very well supported and a humongous fan favorite here in the Philippines, but comparing KPOP artists with their eye candy offering to Filipino vocal prowess is like comparing apples to peaches. I myself appreciate KPOP beauty and their dance repertories plus some songs are really nice too entertainment wise just don't talk about technicalities as they are not known for it. . But Korean fans will always passionately compare their KPOP voice technicalities with that of Filipino singers to which most times isn't even realistically comparable, hence the conflict as most Pinoys are very discerning to how one vocal artist's extent or level of expertise can be measured. What seems exceptional to foreign observers may just be a mediocre karaoke participant to Pinoys hence the very rigid and difficult process a singer has to go through, win competitions and be accepted by the public. Going back to Sohyang, well she's good by Korean standards but wait till you visit the Philippines and start visiting Karaoke bars before you get floored by raw hidden talents that never went professional but just got caught in the Ievels of casual karaoke participations. Singing is a passion in the Philippines and to be frank about it, most regional and international competitions are dominated by Pinoy wins and even chorale group are unstable. So it's no surprise that comparing a foreign artist to a Pinoy one will elicit comparisons galore. Sohyang is good but gauging her vocal duet with Charice a few years back and you can observe the obvious to which you should check it out to find out. Regardless Korea and the Philippines have a long standing and very close relationship so the bond, familiarity plus closeness are there for such trivial matters to be a conflict point. In the Philippines, the Korean community is huge and well assimilated as though they are one dialect group same as the Chinese or westerners. *To be fair, there are also a lot of Filipinos who love Sohyang. As for me, I am not a fan of her style, but I respect her a lot as I do to all selfless performers. To me, it feels like performers who belts like there's no tomorrow are being selfless in the sense that they don't care if their voice falters which can end their career right then and there just so they can make their audience happy and satisfied. So, kudos to all of these performers!* ❤
PS: In retrospect, one of the reason why I never liked Sohyang is becoz I've only discovered her from her fans attacking Regine in comments, so it was a really bad introduction. I lost interest but I never lost respect.

I watched some of your reaction video and I would say I love how Ovela reacts, but angel? she's annoying, its like she would like their viewers to know that she's a better singer that she sings while the video they reacting is playing. she did it not just in this video and she talks a lot of nonsense. im not bashing her, I just would like her to know that she could do a better job in reaction video if she just try to listen and appreciate the video they are reacting to and not proving her self too much.

First of all, this is a reaction video. You're watching their reactions for what they are: sincere. You can't dictate how someone should react to a particular situation otherwise it would be called acting. Second, not everyone reacts the same. There is a big cultural difference between those who live liberally in the Americas and people like us who are a bit more restrained here in Southeast Asia. If you don't like the way she reacts, then that is your problem and not M-Angel's. I personally like their duo as a whole. They balance each other out, providing varying yet harmonic opinions regarding the videos that they watch. I've been religiously watching them since they first started doing reaction videos and I appreciate whatever comes out of their mouths or their body language.

@@kai.09 exactly, this is a reaction video so I'm expecting them, specifically angel to react on the video they are reacting to not to compete on it, and about acting, she's obviously acting as if she's really interested which is obviously not or else she could give reaction with styles and technicality but all she does is sing while the video is playing so i don't know if she actually listening or placating her insecurities. Like i said, i'm not bashing her, just commenting on their reaction video. And as you said you cannot dictate their reaction, same thing with my comment, this is my reaction to their video.
