First, a little background: My mother was both a doll collector AND a porcelain doll artist, so I was educated by proximity. Rebecca looks to be a plastic doll and plastic was not used to create dolls until several years after WWII which ran 1939-1945. The Great Depression was 1929-1939 which means she literally could NOT have been around for the Great Depression. She does not look like a composition doll because I see no crazing nor aging. Her hair looks almost pristine and her eyelashes are still intact which is unheard of for a doll of her supposed age unless she was kept in a box for all her life. Yeah, I think the seller just made up some shit to get the doll to sell. But Lily... I was honestly surprised when she WASN'T the predetermined haunted item. As soon as I saw her I was yelling at my computer screen, "It's Lily!" In fact, it occurred to me that she may not have been responding because she told you her name, Debbie; but, you kept calling her Lily!
I kept one porcelain ?! Of some sort doll my late godfather gave to me I keep that creepy thing in my closet 😂 I have thought in the past to do doll in the hall with my old roommates 😂 but I was nice. I’m coming back and imma be in that doll when I go 😂
Agreed. I am a doll collector, between my mom and I and all the dolls we have inherited and bought at antique stores. This doll seems to be made between the 1970s-1990s. If this is what the seller said, then it is complete bullcrap. It really sucks seeing this from one of my favorite youtubers.

I actually bought 2 haunted dolls from etsy and you're right, you never know what you're going to get. Before I purchased them, I had my psychic medium friend check them out first to make sure they were what the stories claimed them to be. They definitely are. They came from a shop in Austin, TX, owned by another psychic medium. Mine are 2 older ladies who were best friends back in the late 1800's, early 1900's. They worked in a toy factory together. They're sassy and hilarious. We watch a lot of true crime together and talk about older unsolved cases or cases that just seem fishy. Hands down, my favorite Christmas gift I've ever received, lol. I definitely trust the shop that I bought them from. ❤

I instantly knew it wasn't Lily just because of the way the story was phrased, it definitely sounded like ChatGPT. I've been playing with GPT a lot and it tends to use a lot of specific words that were in that story.

I instantly knew it wasn't Lily just because of the way the story was phrased, it definitely sounded like ChatGPT. I've been playing with GPT a lot and it tends to use a lot of specific words that were in that story.
