I'm so excited for the two upcoming Metroid games. Especially Metroid Prime 4. I played all Prime games, including Hunters, and i enjoyed all of them. Sadly, i never played AM2R, but this Remix is awesome.
Do yourself a favor and do it. I like Samus Returns as much as the next guy, but AM2R is just amazing. It’s a more faithful remake, but adds new areas, bosses, upgrades and expands the old areas. Samus Returns in my eyes is a reimagining of Metroid II, and AM2R is a remake
I just realized, Nintendo took inspiration from AM2R! The instant Morph Ball, the ability to bomb jump underwater, and the ability for bombs to get sucked in by vacuums. They may have given it a DMCA and left it out of the Game Awards in 2016, but they actually took the time to add features represented in AM2R for Metroid Dread.

kinda wanna hear a combination of super metroid's upper brinstar with AM2R's hydro station and i think there's a 3rd variant of the music but i cant think of where if there is. Edit* With metroid dread seemingly the end of Samus’ journey, this theme would be a perfect soundtrack to that. Have this theme playing in the background of a video compilation of Samus’ moments from zero mission to dread (including the prime installments).
I think I beat her on my thrid try, but I had enough health as it were. I'm the kind of player who fine comb every corner of the map before I engage the final boss =P

The original composer of the Upper Brinstar track in Super Metroid was actually Kenji Yamamoto, not Hirokazu Tanaka. Banger remix, though, great job.

Yeah there's the remixed/arranged version in Samus Returns if I remember correctly 🤔
There’s also the remix for Echoes’ multiplayer mode

I think the 3d of the new one is gonna give me a headache, as it is I used my "friend's" 3ds to play the new smash bros and I got a headache.
My only issue with AM2R is how the end boss is...... She is overpowered, that or I need MORE health tanks.......
