Decorations for the Boys Day (5/5) in Japan

- As you know, the 3d of March is the girls day. May 5th is the boys day and these Kabuto helmets make a nice decoration in some homes.
From 200 to 2.000 dollars, there were Kabuto helmets of all kinds at the supermarket today. Some were really gorgeous!

kirei, how are those decor works? 1 for each boy? and they need to display them every year on 5th May?
Yes, I think they decorate one for each boy but I can’t say for sure. I know that this is the case for the Koinobori (carps) outdoor. They put those decorations out every year when the children are small. But I have some friends who take those out even now that their kids are grown up 😉
