"You aren't done with the Crimson fleet" ... of course not. Even when you've destroyed the entire Crimson Fleet, station and all, you find exactly the same number of Crimson fleet ships in space, just as many on planets, and their actions towards you don't change what so ever. Its almost as if your choices don't make any real changes to the game beyond radiant quest giver and what shop you get to use.

The idea that the DLC is somehow way different aesthetically and tonally from the base game is a wild statement to me. The base game’s visual elements are “grounded” in “NASA punk” but the technology, history and overall gameplay goals of the game are as fantastic as Shattered Space seems to be. The base game deals with freaking Starborn, last I checked theres nothing “grounded” about that? Plus the entire game and its starship travel is derived from mythical technology that destroyed Earth! Im sorry but theres nothing “grounded” about that. I also see the interpretation of “ghosts” in Shattered Space as a religious tinged explanation for Starborn technology run amok. The entire Varuun belief system seems based around a religious denominational interpretation of science. It all feels right in line with the base game.
Man I rolled my eyes hard af at that comment. I'm convinced that either all these people that take shots at this game are either dumb kids, or dumb adults. Which I guess is one in the same😂 "This game is sooo grounded, let me create an anti gravity field right quick and fight these beings from another dimension. Then I'll go through the 'Unity', cuz that's a thing.."🙄😒
I want them to just fix power acquisition. Instead of doing that stupid minigame and having to travel back and forth for every temple, have my starborn ship equipped with a scanner that gives me all temple locations, then I just find the temple and walk through the portal.
Also, another counterpoint to comparisons with NMS: updates for this game accelerated over time. Initially, we were not getting as many as we get today. Starfield is only year old - this is just the beginning, folks.
@@sparkzmentalz2They’re both fun in their own ways-sometimes I want Starfield’s gameplay (BGS RPG), and sometimes I want NMS’s gameplay (Space Minecraft). Both good games in my opinion.
@@theitechlab Starfield has some pros: ship builder, combat, interiors. However the exploration sucks. The companions are all annoying. Many quests are boring to me. NMS has its flaws but it has rewarding exploration.
I hope not, the 8.8oz of antimatter for the frag grenade is going to take some doing to acquire, not to mention dangerous. Imagine having to build a particle collider at an outpost to be able to produce a grenade.
I am so hyped. I already bought the expansion. I love playing Starfield. But after doing all the handcrafted stuff 3x over, I need something new. If this is really a huge handcrafted area with real exploration (fallout style) then I'm going to be over the moon. I also adore the horror vibes.
I personally think the whole “grounded” approach stifled Starfields potential creatively. We could’ve had alien races, conflicts that threaten the galaxy and decisions that truly make an impact. But instead we got a galaxy full of humans, the Starborn (whom never truly feel like much of a threat) & decisions that feel like they don’t affect the overall narrative in any major way. I think my expectations were too high in the beginning, I’d convinced myself this was going to be ‘Bethesdas Mass Effect’, but it ended up more like a Space Simulator.
Starfield going down the "humans are the smartest beings in the universe" route was really disappointing. A space game without smart aliens, what a horrible idea
@@thunder7073 I agree 100%, the lack of any other intelligent life was probably the biggest missed opportunity. Having other alien races alongside humanity would’ve been cool

What if they added more random creatures by having wormholes opening in different cities ,like they could add a werewolf in akila city(the cowboy place)since they already have a rule about staying indoors during nightfall, would make sense with the new dlc about blackholes
Adding new content works better than you’d think. My main online game is Warframe I’ve been playing it for years and one thing I absolutely love is seeing how the game has evolved over the years. Because it’s bee. Added to and added to the art style has been redone the graphics have sharpened the writing has gone from ‘bit dull’ to ‘ok’ to ‘wow that was an emotional rollercoaster’ and it’s still growing. If Bethesda follow that trajectory and keep building it won’t matter that the foundations are cracked. The structure they could build over and around them will more than compensate. Wouldn’t be easy odds are it would take years or work adding new content every fiscal quarter and active dialogue with gamers. Personally? I kinda want a time travel adventure back to the colony war. In pursuit of a rogue Starborn. How about you guys?
When I think organic grenades, I think acid grenades made from digestive juices, shrapnel grendades using bones/scales, or even frenzy grenades made from creature pheromones.
I refuse to get hype for this. With Bethedsta, I can’t get my hopes up. Hope for the best and expect the worse applies here. I like the game and still play, but…
I disagree on the issue of limited POIs; that's absolutely something that *can* be fixed by new DLC. I'd happily buy an expansion that just adds hundreds of new POIs to the pool of options. Either that, or a "random auto-generate" function to dynamically create POI facilities so they aren't cookie-cutter.
the more reason why starfield is so boring is because of how grounded its meant to be, makes the game bankrupt from a creativity point of view, so bland and i want something better

"Shattered Space" Now there's a title with much potential. 'Shattered hopes and dreams' or 'shattered the space on my hard drive and it wasn't worth it' or 'all that's shattered here is Bethesda's creativity'
In starfields defense there isn’t really much of a grounded experience I mean you end up being multi dimensional being so having a ghost world or something to that extent in a game where you travel dimensions and can experience a world where all the main characters are different versions of you isn’t what I would call a more grounded experience
We'll see what the game is like after another year of updates and mod releases. Still has a long way to go. More animal density on planets, more people density in cities. And definitely the loading screens need to be changed. Only then, it is probably worth the time investment to play. I.m.o.
I don't mind the alien aesthetic of the DLC. I mean I get the whole NASAPunk thing, but that's our technology and aesthetic. If we're going to explore the unknown then that means encountering the strange and mysterious. Think about the original Alien movie where we are introduced to the Nostromo, which is very grounded and recognizable and then they land on an alien planet and encounter a derelict alien starship that looks so bizarre in comparison. I personally love the juxtaposition with what we recognize and what was built by others not of our world. While they can't replace all of their planets with new fully developed worlds, I still hope they can add new Biomes or POIs to a list for the game to procedurally draw from. I've already installed several mods which add new POIs to planets, surely Bethesda could do so as well.
I’m waiting to enter the unity with my new character until after I beat the dlc to see if there are any major differences or just dialogue choices it’s been hard not using mods though they make the game so much better.
Being an artist. The sky within the DLC being that colourful, is similar to when I look at a slot machine. Colourful but very misleading. Shattered Space gives me that exact same impression/ vibes. My problem is with Starfield. It could have been one of the best games ever…endless/unlimited, But was the complete opposite. Shattered Space will be a massive filler, but it won’t be endless/ unlimited…& sadly that won’t save Starfield.
My games played just fine, all three times. When I watch gameplay channels, they seem to be playing without any issues. I have a channel where I play the game frequently but people only show up in the comments to complain about glitches in their game when I’m not playing the game. I had one glitch that was related to a mod which I deleted and went to a save before I downloaded the mod. I played the game on the Xbox but mostly on pc.
I like starfield very much. I love the world they built and I love the Bethesda RPG formula. I'm waiting for the second expansion (probably a year or year and a half T_T) and more mods to come out then I'm gonna replay the hell out of it!!
I am not thrilled that they are already giving themselves an excuse to reuse the ubiquitous enemies that are already too frequent in the main game in the DLC. I was hoping that finishing the DLC would "open it up" to the rest the star systems. As for the DLC being too weird, I agree with you 100%. The NASA punk esthetic is for US; not everything we encounter. I want weird space stuff to run into. Alien fauna that is REALLY alien is just awesome. There are hundreds of worlds. Surely one can have glowing spiders 😀
I am on NG16 at Revelation mission. Been playing First Descendant but the grind is getting boring. So will probably finish NG16 and start Ng17 right before Shattered Space. Tried the space buggy but honestly just as easy to use chems to run and jump faster. I was honestly hoping they would make the M class ships boardable to make the space battle worth it. Not in the plans I guess.
good point about fixing bugs, here's good one, l raised 2tickets about missions.Never got anywhere and that was6 months ago, so what chance of Bethesda listening to their players.Been trying to an explantion on the matter on why, standing still then fall backwards and you die??. l thought it might be the creations, so l disabled them, it never worked still dying for no reason. Even started a game to see if it would fix it, NOPE. Now when i think back to when i first started never had a much bother as i am having, long before creations came along.
I can't get over it has taken them a year to make this dlc. Guess most the work force was making paid mods before this. I mean really in any of their other games it did not take this long to make one dlc, half a year I might have understood but not a year.
I'm not sure if I should New game Plus again. I'm almost done unlocking every skill up to its highest tier. I've already got all my Powers up to level 10. But for some reason the space suit that he's wearing right now does not show up like that for me. So I'm wondering if any of the other new gear is going to show up correctly for me.
Well. We do see what appears to be floating, dead Spacers on the Star Station in the beginning of the Shattered Space trailer. I didn't see any Crimson Fleet. But I suppose it's possible those two factions got to the station before you and make it to Va'ruun'kai first. We are told the Star Station is the starting point to finding the location of Va'ruun'kai. Having said that. Wormholes? Man. I hope that's not the case. Because that's just the laziest way possible to explain why Va'ruun'kai has remained "hidden" all this time.
Nothing will fix how bad Starfield's New Game Plus mode is. I may try the game out again one day by then maybe someone will have modded New Game Mode to not be as terrible as it is.
I'm getting some heavy Dunmer and Morrowind vibes from the Va'ruun. Even how they have a language that uses alot of -'- words with an apostrophe in the middle of the word like the Dunmer language.
There are mods that do not disable achievements but most of them are from Bethesda, my recommendation is to disable them and also to have a save with no mods at all. Also if you are into NG+ each time you enter the unity, if you disable mods pre entering, and after you pass through the unity then achievements are enabled again.
I'm excited for Shattered Space, but I don't think I'll be playing it at launch. I want Bethesda to build more content into the base game rather than adding new planets. We already have a thousand planets, so let's populate them with interesting things and give people a reason to actually explore them. I hope the second expansion introduces new mechanics and exploration content.

New armor, dont care New nades, dont care Menu/Navigation/Cutscenes/Consistency All horrible in the game. There is so so so much they can improve upon. Ship-building, and everything else feels just like a waste of time. Nothing matters it feels like. Are they going to fix anything about the base game or will they just ignore those issues and move on to more content?
This gameplay footage is enough for me to not want to pick this up again. I still can't believe how bad this game was. After 60 hrs in i've lost all interest. I watch these vids in hopes that something happens. This really reeeeeally has me worried for Elder Scrolls 6.
Those takes were terrible. Why would they mention bugfixes as features of a DLC? This is so dumb, especially given that the game has so few bugs, at least from my experience after 600 hours.
Y'know that's not ALL the content right? that's just complete ignorance. If you look at previous Bethesda DLC's, you will know that there will be more stuff in it.
Maybe they will fix the bug where a smugglers stingray won’t be stuck at the new Atlantis spaceport and I can continue the crimson fleet story and actually board the jade swan
I was sure when Starfield launched I was going to play it for years. I got a Series X just for that game and ES6 because they were exclusive. Now I have a great PC and i thought man if I had a PC I would use all of the mods and this will be great I will play this forever. I played for a good bit of time like 300 hours give or take. I have zero desire to play the game anymore. I hope Shattered space renews my interest in the game. I think it was actually less than it was hyped to be. It may be time to get into the mods next year. I like to wait and let the first expansion cook before I start using a bunch of mods because the PC mods usually will require (or some will) to have the DLC included. Shattered Space sounds better than the base game I will admit. It's almost like this should have been included in the game. The vanilla game was just so disconnected and it was like playing in a empty shell of the game at times. Got my fingers crossed that this renews the game.
@@kewa_design I spent a ton of time exploring the different planets and going through all of the faction quests and taking every side mission i could find in the game. I think I just got burned out LOL. I am hoping that I can find some time to get back into it or the desire, so the Shattered Space reviews will determine that. I probably will buy both the Base game and the DLC once a good sale hits. Usually Christmas or New Years. I played all of it on my Series X. For PC the big sales are Summer but hopefully with the expansion coming they will have a sale on the base if not I can always play it off my PC game pass and just invest money into the expansion. I would lie to own the game on PC though.

How are you jumping around like that it’s like your double boosting and covering a lot more ground than normal
Shattered space is a lot bigger than any of the updates no mans sky had released ever.
good point about fixing bugs, here's good one, l raised 2tickets about missions.Never got anywhere and that was6 months ago, so what chance of Bethesda listening to their players.Been trying to an explantion on the matter on why, standing still then fall backwards and you die??. l thought it might be the creations, so l disabled them, it never worked still dying for no reason.
If Va'ruun Kai is in any way reminiscent of the Isle of Wight i'll eat my space helmet.
Top tier scripting there. Lol
I live on the Isle of Wight, should I be offended?
@@lorraine9111 depends....
Were you born there?
Do you live there by choice?
Do you worship whatever the IOW's equivalent of The Great Serpent is?
@@skyriminspace not born here, came on a day trip and can't seem to find my way back. 😀
@@lorraine9111 haha!
I grew up in dorset. Live in France now. Don't want to go back!
They may have organ grenades filled with the inners off your defeated foes
I'm not sure if I should New game Plus again. I'm almost done unlocking every skill up to its highest tier. I've already got all my Powers up to level 10. But for some reason the space suit that he's wearing right now does not show up like that for me. So I'm wondering if any of the other new gear is going to show up correctly for me.
I know how to fix this they can just let us have achievements enabled for any bugs or poi issues that the game has and Bethesda refuses to fix.
I play Starfield because it's free on Game Pass. If I have to pay for DLC for this bug game, forget it!
You’re gonna buy the dlc 😂
yeah I'm not getting scammed twice I'll wait this time for actual gameplay and reviews.
Story content takes longer than systems.
Worm holes!!! Bethesda is making a home for their bugs! version 1 is definitely gonna be shattered mods!
They better sort achievements because they are not working due to mods.
Still no killmoves..
Nothing will fix how bad Starfield's New Game Plus mode is. I may try the game out again one day by then maybe someone will have modded New Game Mode to not be as terrible as it is.
I hope they give us some type of shield like from the movie elsyium and I want to fight white spikes from the movie the tomorrow war
I'm getting some heavy Dunmer and Morrowind vibes from the Va'ruun. Even how they have a language that uses alot of -'- words with an apostrophe in the middle of the word like the Dunmer language.
I never finished DS, no idea there were piss bombs 😂
It’s literally the ring from the varuun embassy and the varuun writings contraband 😂
Exactly
I like the new armor.
Fighting more crimson fleet and spacers? Boring
What is that cool looking yellow armor
You're most interested in a new uniform?
So if I play the DLC, do I need to turn off all my Mods, to receive new achievements? Asking for a friend. Thanks.
Yes
Just get the achievement mod that gives you all of them. I already have all the dlc achievements unlock LOL
There are mods that do not disable achievements but most of them are from Bethesda, my recommendation is to disable them and also to have a save with no mods at all. Also if you are into NG+ each time you enter the unity, if you disable mods pre entering, and after you pass through the unity then achievements are enabled again.
@@Capper_Bra I had no clue there was one
Yep
Grounded? Multiverse? Super powers? Unknown beings behind it all? Does any of this ring a bell
for all 6 people still playing SoyField
Why did you say it's kind of like going on holiday about 4 or 5 times though lol
"some planets are for mining" maybe they meant it.
Actually, adding handcrafted worlds, one by one, is what I wanted from them. If they add a fallout-sized-map every year. I will be happy.
@@TheRealist1. "maybe they meant it" doesn't excuse boring.
@@jamesmeldrum4563 a game about mining is the most sold game in the world... I guess it boils down to expectations.
I just know that I mined or ignored planets that list "barren" instead of thinking I would will it to change once I got there.
User error
turning into a starborn with supernatural powers, do some kind of funky mix of time travel and parallel universe stuff in ng+ but complain about additional mystery/fantasy stuff... ppl these days...
New armor, dont care
New nades, dont care
Menu/Navigation/Cutscenes/Consistency All horrible in the game. There is so so so much they can improve upon. Ship-building, and everything else feels just like a waste of time. Nothing matters it feels like. Are they going to fix anything about the base game or will they just ignore those issues and move on to more content?
Cobra !
Craftable grenades, 2 new enemies AND a new city + some quests for a $30 DLC? That's just plain pathetic.
Y'know that's not ALL the content right? that's just complete ignorance.
If you look at previous Bethesda DLC's, you will know that there will be more stuff in it.
So basically they didn't want to model new factions and re used the ones existing in game...that sucks
Maybe they will fix the bug where a smugglers stingray won’t be stuck at the new Atlantis spaceport and I can continue the crimson fleet story and actually board the jade swan
All good points I agree with people complaints about Starfield but I’m so excited for the new dlc!
Starfield sucks... Bethesda should give up on this dead game.
If all you can think about is giving up when hard times hit, then i have bad news for you in a few years buddy.
Do you really need to make the same video, telling thinks everybody know like, 5 times?
Halo needs a shattered space conversion.
They revealed everything huh?
The game is great, and I don't agree with any of the shit you people winge about
I was sure when Starfield launched I was going to play it for years.
You played 300h thats a lot
You realise 300 hours is more than a normal amount for any person on a singleplayer game, it's honestly weird to me that people expect things to literally last for ever lately.
@@leafstormblaze9449 People nowadays expect games to be their second lives, and when they fail to deliver this impossible task they complain.
Same thing that happened with Cyberpunk to a great extent.
@@leafstormblaze9449 yeah its very Strange to say Like "i played 300 or 500h of Starfield Here is my Review: Boring, Buggy, Just Shit" and im Like hu? Youve got more hours than me, and i Love this Game so much and Play it almost every day 😅
no i dont want to see any of them let alone all 3.wtf why would i want that?
there also better be a lot more than just some armor with a snake in it.or i wont be giving them any money.
When they reveal they've fixed their broken interior cell loading bug and texture engine glitches....then maybe i'd play this, but until then....
NMS had a decade to perfect development of the game, and NMS doesn't have the level of production quality as Starfield has.
Bro doesn’t know what concept art means 🤡whole video is a joke none of that you said is from Bethesda
Well you said a whole lot of nothing. All we need are boring personalities....
Yawn...far too little and far too late.
There will not be any dialogue from Andreja throughout the entire dlc lol.
She’s from there though why not
