Next time try replacing the voltage regulator on the alternator. Those go before the alternator usually and it’s a 2 minute replacement. The alternator was probably fine especially if it was just replaced.
You are correct. We did do that in a Previous video I made. It did Not Help. The problem was still there. Got a Auto Zone rebuilt Alternator. It only lasted under 90 days. Took it back to Auto Zone. They Tested it and saw it was defective and Exchanged it. Made a video on the re installation.
Google Translate. I replaced the alternator with a new one, the fuses are new and there is no charging, what could it be? Regards Answer. Did you check if it is not charging with a voltmeter? What was the reading?? At Idle? When you turn on the Lights ??
Hello I have a 1987 300d w124 and my alternator is bad. I would like to replace the 70 amp unit with 100amp or more. Do you know what year and model will work or a part number. I got rid of my clutch fan and used a pair of electric cooling fans which keeps it much cooler in hot summer with ac on But they more power which is hard on a 70 amp alternator. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated . Thanks for your time and videos. Robert
Thank you asking me. Do you know that the Alternator is Bad? Did you check the Voltage on the Battery with the motor Running? Should be about 13.5 Volts. If the Voltage shows 12 volts when the motor is running it means the alternator is not Charging. If you check on the AUTOZONE website It shows your car takes a 70 Amp Alternator. I have No experience in upgrading the Alternator. My Advice is to Contact RUclipsr Legit Street Cars. He works on Mercedes. Hope this helps. Thanks.
