Would still be nice if the autoloading log containers could be unloaded
Today I could remove an empty one with the fork lift. Then I reloaded it full…with two fork lifts😳😅
Cut all the Logs to length in big piles, Pull up with a Universal autoload Trailer, Load it up. Pull up along side of the Container Unload the Autoload Trailer into the Container ...
Great strategy for PC.
That's takes all the fun out of it
Why even play the game at that point

Another time saver, you can double stack containers for less trips and the straps reach two high
I hate that trailer...I use the Krone Semi Flatbed Trailer which is under Bale Loaders in the mod hub.
Where are you getting ponderosa and lodgepole pine is that a mod? I’m on Xbox x and it’s pine and Stoney pine and they are nothing like what you are showing in video.

@@Driver53Gaming Thank you for replying, it’s one of the issues that’s so frustrating. So many videos out there and maps and mods. Never know what works where what maps what equipment and on what system. It would be nice if Giants stepped up and categorized stuff a bit. It’s a thick jungle trying to sort it out as a player and makes it very unentertaining which was the whole point to begin with. I really miss the days of Jane’s simulations, their sub game was the awesomest and imo better than anything we have now despite it being almost 40 yrs old.
Don’t know how you are loading containers, I added platinum exp but container can’t even be opened much less loaded.

I don't think the conclusion on Spruce in the containers is correct. In the beginning of the video you show Spruce getting 45% of the value of Lodgepole. In the container you are getting 56% the price for Lodgepole for the spruce, that would be an upgrade.
However, the best way to find out what the cost difference is, would be to F12 in some Lodgepole, and then put 5 poles in a container, and 5 poles in the back of a trailer. Do that a few times to see if the price is consistent or get an average, then we'd be able to see what the cost difference is.
Spruce has the largest diameter trunk at the base but tapers down to one of the smallest. If you only test the bottom of the tree then yes Spruce will get you a better price. But most of us don't sell just the bottom 6 meters of a tree so for my testing later in the video I tested the value of an entire tree.
Logs make the map for sure.

You could role play it. Use hardwood for furniture and flooring. Use spruce and pine for walls and pet things. Shingles.

Does it make a difference if you cut logs to length to feed your own sawmill, compared to full logs? Any difference in volume going into the mill?
No difference if feeding your sawmill.
