I watched the movie, I became obsessed. I love this film. Hackers are interesting; and this whole movie is based on that. Honestly, this is my favourite film. I can watch this over and over. This is great. Nice work. I hope there is at least a second one. Because of how that ended, I NEED more.
Thanks to this movie I started to like cybersecurity and ethical hacking, I was a teenager when I saw it for the first time, since then I have been obsessed with the world of cybersecurity, I plan to make a living from it, that's why this movie has a great meaning to me, thanks to all the production team and actors for this great film.
While this movie doesn't have the 'most realistic' approach to hacking, it's still a good movie. The shots are good, the actors are almost perfect, and the plot is pretty good. And just out of curiosity, what was the budget for this movie?
***** Wow. That's a pretty low budget for a professionally shot film. Honestly, I'm surprised you needed eight terabytes to store all the data. I'm also surprised that the movie didn't turn out more profitable. Thanks for replying so quickly, by the way. I hope you make more movies in the future.
I cast Byron James because he looked young. He's supposed to have just transferred to DHS after being in something more JSOC, hence the aggressive style. I'm glad you liked it. :)
Fun to see the location shots. The camera work and score are excellent, but it moved pretty slowly and the acting wasn't the greatest, with a couple exceptions.
i disagree with the actors :/ there were a couple that i feel shone above the rest. Decimate, and the lead old guy interrogator seemed 100%. The main character as well he was a beautiful pick for the message you chose to convey with him evolving through this emotional awakening. Some of the torture scenes were crap camera angles and poor acting. Especially the dead guys... The slower the scene, the closer the camera should be. If someone is nearly dead, that camera should be right up their nose so you can feel the little emotion they have left to convey until its just a blank shot staring into their cold dead eyes. It leads you as a viewer to search for that connection and feel that loss when there just isn't one anymore. Instead i was left looking at a pile of tarpy clothes assuming this was an indy film shot by Matt Romano. ***Very great concept, love the dialog and ideas brought to the scree, just a few camera and acting changes would have made this a pearl.***
RUclips used to pay us ad revenue, but their model changed in March 2017 and this is now considered "not appropriate for all audiences" and so we don't get anymore ad revenue. RUclips features it on RUclips Red homepage, but that's not nearly as much as ad revenue used to be. Now, they only way we make money is by selling limited edition blu-rays (very few people buy them because the movie's free, like you wrote) via www.TheHackerMovie.com
Thanks for the sympathy. It's a little frustrating; the filmmaking business is rapidly changing (like everything else). But, for making a movie with $8k, we've made our money back and been able to start paying profit-share to people. Also 10M+ views is nothing to scoff at. So, we're all pretty happy with the results!

now say never would tell yourself it unreasonable.
It is the best modern piece of the genre, wish you to thrive and proceed with creating.
Really enjoyed the movie! There were parts where I forgot it was watching a movie. Great score. Great characters. Beautiful shoot.
excellent Quantum movie whenever I see again
find something new
Interesting, fascinating, scary. Coming to terms with that paradigm shift, who has power and what kind. Good movie.

Got to say this again. Great stuff !!

Interesting film!
when we come to transcend our human needs, we will finally be relieved from the salivary that our bodies put us through.

camera angles in the multiple character scenes were meh.... like the ending and the torture scenes
Byron james looked too young to be a federal agent. The rest of the casting was done flawlessly. Chris Panzera's wow factor is off the charts for me.

Emergent See = Google = NSA

Unidentifiable Unknown Conspiracies We shot it on 2 Canon 5Dmk3s using a Magic Lantern mod that allowed us to shoot RAW.
How did you guys make money off this film if you could watch the film for free on RUclips?
