I know, she shocks everybody with her incredible voice and like someone said, her voice and performance is addictive! She is 5’7” so her lung capacity may be normal for her size (my size). This girl had speech and singing training as due to her violent upbringing that left her with a severe speech impediment and a broken collar bone at the age of 3. Add to that training an incredible larynx and a very smart girl who knows how to take advantage of her voice and the discipline of her training. Another important factor was that later she was adopted by a very loving family who has supported her singing career since a kid and has imbued her with a great love for life and people. Very inspiring story this kid has. Yes, keep searching her for she is an inspiration for many who come to hear her.

The best singer in the world is Dimash Qudaibergen. It's hard to say she's the best in the world because there are many other woman who can sing deep like she can. Although of course, she's still on top of the charts when it comes to talent and skill and improvements. Dimash Qudaibergen takes the title as the best singer in the world as having 7+ octaves, singing in 13+ languages, hitting a very high whistle note OFF the piano D8, singing many different genres, being a huge star in Kazakhstan and China and around Central Asia. No other man can go as high as him + don't have the vocal techniques he has. I'm not hating on Diana of course! I love her. Just saying that you might be mistaken on the top 1.

However, I place Diana above him because she has greater integrity - her performances are utterly selfless - and, relatedly, she has greater emotional and spiritual depth.
She just performed Paul's story from the soundtrack to the movie Dune in a recent Hans Zimmer concert. Is in the Arabic style of a call to action. It's all full on pure power. Belting unlike anybody has ever done before on this planet and maybe the planets around us have never heard something. This commanding and beautiful the same time. Highly recommended. She also did a recent movie score called Baikal where she plays the spirit under the frozen lake ice. She also does jazz with improv vocalizations. She's been in music. School at her range has gotten so much better and so much more under control. She's just getting started. I think she's freaking people out

This was actually two years ago when she was 18 years old. In the years you missed she became the best vocalist in the world. Her story was that she was abused and abandoned injured by her biological mother, then she ended up in an orphanage until she was adopted. Her range has expanded significantly from the video you just watched till now too. You have a lot of caching up to do. It is unfortunate though that you reacted to the cut pirated version of her video.

Yes 🙌🏽 DIANA had a tragic childhood but in order to facilitate her speech her adopted (FOREVER) mom had her take vocal lessons and she began performing since she was a small girl. She is my favorite solo female singer. She never stops improving or impressing me with her immense vocal range. Dear Jenn, first thing for you - listen to that historical cover Diana did when she was 10 y.o. : The Beatles' Oh Darling. Then all the rest of her performances ! You have a wide variety of music style choices - all songs performed by Diana are either superb or at least excellent. Her cover versions are often better than the originals ! 😮❤

Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She has natural polyphonics in her larynx which gives her a very full sound. You can even hear it. In some of the words she says as she speaks I believe it's a an effect from an injury. As a child she had a broken clavicle and I think I suspect during the remodeling of injury repair it informed her growth pattern and gave us this polyphonic capacity

But I am certain that her broken clavicle very early on remodeled and affected her neck as she grew because that is a typical response to that type of injury. Well, yes, her voice often sounds like an orchestral musical instrument, and blends so well with the background music that it sounds like there are multiple voices. Her vibrato is relatively fast and narrow, making it subtle and never forced when she chooses to use it. She does so many thing to bring out the emotion she sees in a song. It is not clear to me what is causing you such a problem and makes you suspicious. Diana is a dramatic contralto precisely because she handles the larynx as if it is not there and "jumps" from one tonality to another as if she does not have a "switch" that switches from the chest voice to the head voice. Not to mention that she has a huge resonator box in her mouth that allows her to hit the highest notes with her mouth wide open. To which classical music fans are building up, because it is not technically correct. Since this is practically a perpetuum mobile, Diana represents the earthly representation of the divine sound, which we good music connoisseurs call, the Voice of Mother Earth. That's why Diana Ankudinova is a phenomenon that conquered the music world with incredible speed. The fact that little is known about her in the so-called "West" is not accidental, but it is called a media blockade for only one reason, she is Russian... and that says it all. RUclips is hard to control, that's why she is the ruler of RUclips... To conclude, this kid will go down in the Annals of Music as "THE SHE" who marks an epoch and changes the narrative. You do not understand the real reason Diana is unknown in the West. It has nothing to do with anti-Russian attitudes. It has nothing to do with her skill or talent, either. Diana impresses everyone who hears her - including me. (I am an American.) No. There are two reasons she is unknown in the West. Neither reason has to do with her being Russian. The first reason is contractual. The second reason is Western pop radio rules. The Western music industry and Western pop radio are dominated by giant corporations. They exist, not to create great music, but to control what people can hear. They are the gatekeepers. Musicians can't be heard by most people in the West unless they have contracts with one of the major studios, a studio with radio contracts. And radio has rules in the West, rules created a half-century ago and ruthlessly enforced. What radio executives fear most is listeners changing the station - and listeners are impatient. So radio insists: 1) songs must 'hook' listeners right at the start with high energy sound, and 2) songs must maintain constant energy throughout. No pauses, no lulls, and absolutely no dramatic tension that starts quiet and builds to a climax. Russia, and the nations near Russia, have a completely different aesthetic. Drama is often built into songs. And this breaks Western radio's rules. Without a contract, without compliant music, songs will not be heard in the West, no matter how good they are. Frankly, the status quo in Western music is a bad one. And so when Western listeners do hear great musicians from Russia and from non-Western countries, they usually love it. Western listeners *do* like drama. It's corporations who don't. Diana has been coached by Igor Krutoy, among others. Krutoy is a master of drama in music, so it is no surprise to me that Diana incorporates glorious drama into her songs. Krutoy is a wonderful composer. He is mostly unknown to Western audiences, too, for the same reasons. New media, such as RUclips, are proving to open opportunities for Russian artists who do not have Western studio contracts and who do not obey Western radio's rules. Cracks are forming in the status quo. Good. Because your musical traditions produced musicians like Diana. They deserve to be heard and appreciated.

Then all the rest of her performances ! You have a wide variety of music style choices - all songs performed by Diana are either superb or at least excellent. Her cover versions are often better than the originals ! 😮❤
Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

Diana is still enrolled and attending music and associated entertainment industry classes in one of the prestigious Moscow Colleges, so she is definitely not resting on her laurels.

She has natural polyphonics in her larynx which gives her a very full sound. You can even hear it. In some of the words she says as she speaks I believe it's a an effect from an injury. As a child she had a broken clavicle and I think I suspect during the remodeling of injury repair it informed her growth pattern and gave us this polyphonic capacity

But I am certain that her broken clavicle very early on remodeled and affected her neck as she grew because that is a typical response to that type of injury. Especially at that age it influenced it in some way shape or form. Just because there have been no test on that doesn't mean It isn't likely.

Let's recap Diana (Dee ana Aun coo DEE nuh vuh) a moment. Found alone at a bus stop, in a blizzard, with a broken collarbone, Diana was orphaned at age 3 due to an apparently abusive mother. She had a speech problem, so the orphanage gave her singing lessons to help. Lucky little Diana, luckier world! Everyone was amazed . Everyone still is. Diana has remained humble despite her success and tries to give back to the children of the orphanage when she can. Class act. 18 in your video, 20 now. Try things from her channel. Most have captions. My Huge City and Dune are her two newest though I prefer Winter Without Snow since it is a 90's style music video that shows her acting ability. Enjoy the ride!

Well, yes, her voice often sounds like an orchestral musical instrument, and blends so well with the background music that it sounds like there are multiple voices. Her vibrato is relatively fast and narrow, making it subtle and never forced when she chooses to use it. She does so many thing to bring out the emotion she sees in a song. It is not clear to me what is causing you such a problem and makes you suspicious. Diana is a dramatic contralto precisely because she handles the larynx as if it is not there and "jumps" from one tonality to another as if she does not have a "switch" that switches from the chest voice to the head voice. Not to mention that she has a huge resonator box in her mouth that allows her to hit the highest notes with her mouth wide open. To which classical music fans are building up, because it is not technically correct. Since this is practically a perpetuum mobile, Diana represents the earthly representation of the divine sound, which we good music connoisseurs call, the Voice of Mother Earth. That's why Diana Ankudinova is a phenomenon that conquered the music world with incredible speed. The fact that little is known about her in the so-called "West" is not accidental, but it is called a media blockade for only one reason, she is Russian... and that says it all. RUclips is hard to control, that's why she is the ruler of RUclips... To conclude, this kid will go down in the Annals of Music as "THE SHE" who marks an epoch and changes the narrative. Her interpretation of the folk song "Rechenka" is for now the interpretation of the 21st century. And she sang that when she was only 15 years old at the contest "You are super"... You have it here on RUclips... Something incredible... Not to mention "Human"...

You do not understand the real reason Diana is unknown in the West.
It has nothing to do with anti-Russian attitudes.
It has nothing to do with her skill or talent, either. Diana impresses everyone who hears her - including me. (I am an American.)
No. There are two reasons she is unknown in the West. Neither reason has to do with her being Russian.
The first reason is contractual. The second reason is Western pop radio rules.
The Western music industry and Western pop radio are dominated by giant corporations. They exist, not to create great music, but to control what people can hear. They are the gatekeepers. Musicians can't be heard by most people in the West unless they have contracts with one of the major studios, a studio with radio contracts.
And radio has rules in the West, rules created a half-century ago and ruthlessly enforced. What radio executives fear most is listeners changing the station - and listeners are impatient. So radio insists: 1) songs must 'hook' listeners right at the start with high energy sound, and 2) songs must maintain constant energy throughout. No pauses, no lulls, and absolutely no dramatic tension that starts quiet and builds to a climax.
Russia, and the nations near Russia, have a completely different aesthetic. Drama is often built into songs. And this breaks Western radio's rules. Without a contract, without compliant music, songs will not be heard in the West, no matter how good they are.
Frankly, the status quo in Western music is a bad one. And so when Western listeners do hear great musicians from Russia and from non-Western countries, they usually love it.
Western listeners *do* like drama. It's corporations who don't.
Diana has been coached by Igor Krutoy, among others. Krutoy is a master of drama in music, so it is no surprise to me that Diana incorporates glorious drama into her songs. Krutoy is a wonderful composer.
He is mostly unknown to Western audiences, too, for the same reasons.
New media, such as RUclips, are proving to open opportunities for Russian artists who do not have Western studio contracts and who do not obey Western radio's rules. Cracks are forming in the status quo.

Because your musical traditions produced musicians like Diana. They deserve to be heard and appreciated.
