Kofoid's slider was at such a hard angle that he basically had to stop to keep from hitting the wall and left Balog with no other option but to turn left unexpectedly. Definitely not the kind of move that's going to earn respect of the other drivers.
I used to enjoy watching kofoid race 3 years ago. All he knows how to do is slide people. These younger racers just throw kamikaze sliders hoping they don’t junk it. His slider on gravel cleared, but the distance he had to carry it made it a poor choice.
I’m not sure about the Kofoid move on Friday night. I was so into the excitement of the race, but it didn’t feel like a dirty move necessarily. When you’re putting a slide job on someone, how much responsibility do you have for everyone who is not directly involved in that pass? That’s the big question I guess. I may go back and watch it again. But hey! How about the macho man! Two in a row against the WoO at Haubstadt! Now that’s something to talk about! Especially when you consider how good Macedo is there. Thanks Justin!
Kofoid always makes moves at the last second. He did it with USAC.. all the Outlaws have to make sure they watch Kofoid. Plus that track was crazy. Most of the drivers were making unbelievable moves.
Toyota has the 410 running strong, 83 crew has the set up working, and Buddy is better than he has ever been, so he is going to be doing everything he can to win. Just racing, good racing.
Kofoid might have cleared Balog then immediately parked it on balogs hood so either if he didn't take advasive action it would have damaged balogs front wing or more or caused him to blindly turn left while gravel was there these are not Midgets.the closing rate of a sprintcar is much greater and if gravel does a Brad sweet and punt him out of the park he will have it coming personally I think Gravel should have "talked" to kofoid in the front of the hauler like kinser would have done and then buddy could have explained the black eye and how he triped in the hauler a day bumped his eye on the corner of a cabinet
Very disappointed in you that you didn’t give Brady Bacon the respect he was due. He outsmarted the Outlaw guys, ran clean race and he needed more from other than saying Brady Bacon won the race. Maybe you ought to check the bio on Brady to see what he has accomplished over his career
Was wrenching on a couple cars in the 80’s. We raced K-ville every week. Worked at Challenge Chassis welding and building sprints. so I seen some things. 30 years ago just about ALL the slide jobs being thrown wouldn’t be tolerated. But things have really changed since then. Now the drivers are tossing HUGE sliders and the guy getting passed better lift or get wadded up. And I’m sorry, it ain’t just Kofoid throwing kamakaze slides… it’s all of em.
It could be a little more aggressive. I think the quality of the racing has gone way up with all the new blood on the national trail. I’m really enjoying High Limits mix of guys. I really like the content Chase is putting out on RUclips. Super low tech but it’s really high quality info in short videos.
Too many Gravel haters chiming in with their comments. If Kofoid did what he did to Donny Schatz, you would hear the same thing from Donny. I haven't heard other drivers complain about David Gravel's driving! Buddy is a talented driver, but he needs to dial it back a notch.
Racetracks without walls are NOT racetracks. Just stupidly dangerous place people go to drive cars. The two 'premium' series and they run on crap like this. We keep hearing b/s about safety in the US. Yet look at the garbage venues. Though I suppose this one is safer than the one Carly Holmes broke her back at,, no fence, a path then a creek.. I suspect 90% of US tracks would not get a track licence here in Oz.
I was at talladega and I don’t know if it will be worth the 5 and a half hour drive for the makeup date. I was already in town for a vacation trip and made the drive on down for the WOO show.
The racing is different. Less downforce is making it much harder to work traffic. The leaders stall out more at the lap cars. I'm not a fan. Give em the wicker back.
I thought you might mention that our friend Zach Hampton qualified P1 at Beaver Dam with the IRA series but was light at the scale after qualifying........He never mentioned car weight in his video series.😟
If you wanna turn yourselves into a greasy spot on a country road.. be my guest.. But if you as much as trade paint on my track...im gonna take your race cars apart for 300 laps(ok 10) If you put them back together ( in the 2 mins allowed) I might let.you join the race....
Buddy continuously puts people in bad spots thats what gravel is upset about! I am by no means a gravel fan but i am a fan of cody jacobs sucks that crew had to thrash because of a midget driver!
Just got back from seeing the racing action at Selinsgrove. 3 divisions. Only 22 cars in sprints, but they were REALLY good cars. TJ Stutts set a new track record. It was fast, and had good racing! Hot laps started at 4:30pm, and the sprint feature got done just before 8pm. Callum Williamson (Trone 39), Ryan Newton, Danny Dietrich, and Devon Borden were all there. Macri was going to Arkansas for the High Limit race on Tuesday. Dylan Cisney has an engine issue, so he didn't show up.
I dont think a series owner should be eligable in a championship run. Im not a brad sweet fan, so I guess im a little bias here. If I was one of the other normal ‘high rollers’ id be getting a bad taste in my mouth if Brad keeps winning. If you want to be a series owner/promoter, hang up the helmet or just race here and there like Larson.
If any have a bad taste in their mouth they only have themselves to blame. After all Brad has been one of the best for years and it's not like his involvement in the ownership side was a secret.
I have no allegiances, and i personally think gravel needs to grow up. And i wished i went to port royal yesterday, instead of lincoln. Not only were the 358s incredibly sloppy all night, but lincoln speedway drags their feet when getting a show in. Port royals full show was completed before either of lincolns features were even close to starting.
It is sad that the mature racers 49, 19, 24, 7... are no longer around. Gravel is immature and cannot stand with the Champions of the past. He will predictably continue to feed this behavior all season unabated with no real competition. Forever a #2.
Agree with u on show being drug out.The 358’s are a stepping stone for some of these drivers to reach their dream of running a 410.They had 41 cars there, yes there were reds and cautions. Once the field was trimmed down to 24 for the feature they had 1 red in the 20 laps. How about that kid Ayden Hare winning in his 4th start?
I agree the racing has been very good. Mixing up the best guys and adding some young hot shoes to the mix has been exciting. As for the gravel kofoid mix up I don't really have a side, but the slider cleared so... Idk
The lack of courtesty? Money and what I'll call the "NASCAR Factor." I don't watch the fendered stuff--late models excepted--any more b/c so many times the winner moved the guy in front of him to beat him. That has carried over into dirt open wheel. But the real factor is money.
I think its funny how people on here talk crap about gravel, but are the same people that would be all over buddy if he did that to larson or sweet lol.
David Gravel… Get over yourself,… I guarantee you wouldn’t confront someone a little bigger than you… oh wait most people are! 😁 You want a championship?! EARN IT GRAVEL.
@@crouchb15 What you don't like about David Gravel is that he's exactly what you'd be if you were out there. The things we tend to hate are things we actually are.
I believe Gravel had options, do what he did or lift and get on the brakes. When you race that close you increase the chance for such a incident to happen. I don't feel Kofoid did anything wrong, sure it was late in the corner and tight, but he cleared them. How the other drivers react is on them. That's racing and yes the respect level today is not what it use to be, like before all those drivers were probably born.
The real news is Brady bacon. He’s a great driver.
Crazy how he squares up the corner and gets so much drive while smoking the tires
Kofoid's slider was at such a hard angle that he basically had to stop to keep from hitting the wall and left Balog with no other option but to turn left unexpectedly. Definitely not the kind of move that's going to earn respect of the other drivers.
I totally agree it is hyper aggressive and courtesy is gone. Makes for entertaining racing if you don't care about people's well-being
Koifoid has s lots of laps against the very chop and run National midget drivers. Those kids are vishious. Ask Tmez 😯

I think you are spot on about the racing intensity! Some of these sprint races are nuts!
I’m definitely more concerned about Brad beotchslaping McFadden clear out the track.
Very good episode.
Buddy is making a list of Drivers that are looking forward to"racing him, the way he raced them".That will be exciting.
From watching Buddy the past couple years, he is fast but he is wreckless. I would be pissed if I were Gravel as well.

Lets see what happens when Buddy Kofoid is on the wrong end of a bad slide job. Causing wrecks isn't going to get him anywhere.
Kofoid always makes moves at the last second. He did it with USAC.. all the Outlaws have to make sure they watch Kofoid. Plus that track was crazy. Most of the drivers were making unbelievable moves.
Having a wall/catch fence would've made the McFadden crash much worse with a sudden stop. Feel like if it's a large, open area then no fence is ok
It’s just buddy being buddy… I’ll leave it at that
If Kofoid had hit Gravel like Sweet did McFadden what would the comments be .
Would've been more reasonable tbh. McFadden was playing aggressive defense, kofoid was playing stupid offense again.
This fun.........😮
Maybe for a split second Sweet thought it was Kofoid.

Idk how you could give him a black eye. You'd have to shatter his nose for your fist to reach his eye.
Ask t mez what he thinks of buddy's driving in the midgets
Great show

When gravel does it to anyone it's just a racing thing but when it happens to gravel he gets all pissy!!!!!!
Some truth to that.
When was the last time you saw Gravel slide into someone and wreck them?
Buddy is a pretty damn good shoe and I think he will figure it out.

Kofoid and Gravel were both on the podium last night, they have to race each other every week, so I don't think they hold a grudge for long.

How do the high limit points work with the midweek series? Do they only go toward the midweek or both series?
Both
Unfortunately Kofoid's move was a move for the 🏁 not a mid race move. Paybacks are a bitch Buddy so no bitching when it happens.
