I trauma bonded with my ex and felt so low and bad about myself that I was terrified I would be alone forever if I didn’t have him. It took years for me to leave. My grandfather passed away exactly a month before I was born, the entire time he was sick in the hospital, he told every person he came across that he was gonna be a grandpa, that I was gonna be his first grandson and that he can’t wait to meet me, it crushed him when he realized he wouldn’t meet me. That’s not fair. She doesn’t deserve that. There’s such a thing called trauma bonding and I think that’s what was happening with her. I trauma bonded with my ex and felt so low and bad about myself that I was terrified I would be alone forever if I didn’t have him. It took years for me to leave. Something tells me that’s exactly how it was for her or similar in nature. I sympathize though. Some people just don’t have the will power to leave. They need help, a boost of sorts. Steve seemed to help her and I hope she stayed away from him after this.
