As a Pastor, I'm so grateful and blessed by this song because it is biblical and relevant...hope you keep it up Sister...more songs to be composed to lighten those burdened souls...
Yes! It’s beautiful, isn’t it? It is a beauty scripture story too, if you want to read the scripture this song is talking about there’s a free Book of Mormon app and it’s found in 1 Nephi 8 and 11
@anarosecabaya9665 Your kind words inspire and motivate me to continue creating music that speaks to and uplifts burdened souls. Hi Shawna-this is one of the most beautiful Primary songs I’ve heard. I get teary eyed every week as our Primary children sing it and do the sign language along with it. Thank you for sharing your musical talent with all of us.
Thank you for being the medium through which the Spirit can touch so many lives! We can “taste of the fruit” as we listen to this song. The minor key is a fresh and welcome approach to us as warriors in a troubled world.
The primary kids sang this for the primary presentation rehearsal last Sunday and I was instantly hooked. I came home and found it on RUclips and it’s been in my head all week. Thank you for sharing your talent! This is so so beautiful!
I am eternally grateful for this song. It helped me significantly when I went through a crisis of faith. It was one of the many things I ran to as well as the temple, the scriptures, prayer, partaking of the sacrament that gave me power to withstand the crisis\spiritual depression I was in. It was released right at this critical time and every time I listen to it, I feel so grateful to the Lord for holding on to me as I tried to do everything I could to hold onto Him! Thank you Shawna for living in a way to write these inspiring songs that lift all of God's children that help each one of us continue to strive to make it home! 💖
Shelly, thank you for sharing this beautiful story. I'm so grateful to be able to share goodness through song, and it means a LOT to me to know that the music has had an impact for good.
Love Shawna Edwards music! And so happy for my daughter-in-law who was asked to share her amazing artistic talent for this video! Love you so much girl!
omg,...soooo beautiful! Thank you for listening to the spirit to guide you in writing this song. I cannot listen to it without tears. I thank you for this most Powerful meaning.
"The greatest joy is at the Tree!" The Atonement of Christ is our joy. God gave us His Son because he loved all of us! Thank you for what this song beautifully explains!
More and more returned missionaries are sharing the following: That song is also merited in this book and as a reference you can read Chapter 20 of “The Sealed Portion The Final Testament of Jesus Christ PDF “ by Pearl Publishing
I had not heard this melody before until I received your email today . Love the melody...so very catchy and that is what we need to get the whole congregation involved. Lyrics are simple to understand..what more do we need? Thank you Shawna! LOVE hearing children singing..
A dear friend introduced me to this song. At the time I was working on a painting of the tree of life for her. I did not read her email until today and listened to this song. It brought tears to my eyes with its beauty. Thank you.
The love ❤️ of God is truly the best place to be!! If others could know it as I have, they would know that God loves all equally, and treats us the same….laws and rules are for our good, love, grace and compassion are free, and the many blessings are for all of us, we receive them as we are ready….for one thing, we chose to follow Christ so we got to come to this earth!! That’s why we have these blessings!!
El corazon en la boca! That is the most incredible song. It's so beautiful. I love the minor key for such a serious subject. Thank you! This is so wonderful, and I can't wait to teach it to my children.
The primary classes in my ward sang this song during our primary presentation infront of the entire church. During the chorus we even added sign language. I'm one of the Sunday school teachers so I had to sit with my class, but I could tell when when we sang that song it a lot of people were smiling
❤ Thanks for uploading this! I would recommend including the scripture reference for those who are unaware. It is found in 1 Nephi chapters 8 & 11 of The Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
Question: want to teach our Primary this song and was wondering if there was a way I can access these beautiful drawings to help our kids visualise the songs in their learning? I’ve purchased the sheet music from you :) fantastic music you make ❤️
I’ll be teaching this song in singing time soon (so looking forward to it!). The visuals are so great for the song, is there a way to access those anywhere?
Can you have an instrumental version for this song please. It will be a great help for our primary presentation . Hope you will notice my message . Thank you😊❤
It may be too late for you now, but I just found the original images, which were lost in a move. I can have my assistant upload them if you can still use them.
I have two sheet music versions for this song and was just wondering which one is used in this video? Is this the A Minor version or the other one? Thank you 😊
Shauna, would you please submit this piece to The Friend? I would love to use it in a musical number with our primary children but can not because it isn’t in the Children’s Songbook or The Friend.
You are able to get the Bishop’s approval to use this in Primary. The Handbook gives direction on it. This is a beautiful song I heard in Primary this morning for the first time.
Bishop discretion upon listening to the music, reading the lyrics and receiving the revelatory direction he feels is the process described in the handbook. He is fully empowered with wide latitude to permit uplifting, inspiring music the leaders in the musical callings bring for him to sample and guide them in using with the members musically.
I would suggest a word edit: to replace the word ‘just’ in ‘just a symbol.’ “The Tree of Life is a sweet symbol” There is a literal Tree of Life; it isn’t relegated only to mere symbolic significance.
Hey @junren8067 - I'm so sorry for the late response! Thank you for your question. Yes, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly known as the Mormon Church). My faith is an important part of my life, and it has taught me the values of love, kindness, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their religious beliefs or background. I believe in celebrating our common humanity and unity in Christ. While my faith is dear to me, I also recognize and honor the beauty and diversity of beliefs that make up our world. I firmly believe that we can learn from each other, build bridges of understanding, and find common ground in our shared values of love, compassion, and goodwill. It's my hope that through this channel, we can foster a positive and inclusive community where people of all faiths, backgrounds, and perspectives can come together to learn, share, and grow. If you have any questions or topics you'd like to discuss, please feel free to ask, and let's continue to celebrate our unity in Christ's love.

is this lovely song approved for Primary?
@tinachristensen4008 - Many Primaries sing this song, but as it has not been published by the church it needs the Bishop's approval.
Shauna, would you please submit this piece to The Friend? I would love to use it in a musical number with our primary children but can not because it isn’t in the Children’s Songbook or The Friend.
I will see what I can do! It means a lot to me that you would hope to share it with your primary kids. I hope we can find a way to make this happen!
Who is stopping you? It seems like some bishop is shouting "Give me rules, give me rules, I am unable to listen to the Spirit!"
