First time seeing your channel and love how quickly you go through the items.. I'm a new Reseller and it's been a hit or miss for me..I have to say it's really frustrating to have the same or similar items and people are selling them way above what I list them for..I know having a channel is a big part...I also live in a small coastal town in Oregon and don't have alot of high end items stores.
@@cindicovert7763Hey! Happy you're enjoying the videos. I've been reselling for 6 years now and my channel is really new but so far I haven't noticed an increase in sales since starting a channel. If anything I've noticed a slight decrease because I'm taking time away from reselling in order to create content. My videos are targeted towards helping other fellow resellers grow their business not towards people looking to buy from me because of my style. So definitely don't feel discouraged in reselling if you don't don't have a RUclips channel. ❤️🥰
Hello I love your chanel 🎉I resell is very hard to find good thing how did you manage kids house and business lol 😅 I love do this but is hard to keep the rhythm specially sharing, do you used any help to sell in eBay ?
I love that manager, *M*! She once gave me some toys for my kids and dresses for one of my daughters. I don’t go to that location often, but when I do, she is always so excited to see me. ❤️❤️
I’ll be sure to say hi if I ever see you! I have my one favorite store in the Valley I tend to stick to and get my inventory from so I don’t venture elsewhere often 😜 loved learning new brands from you on this video!
You always find the coolest items! I need you to come shopping with me 😂 That was super sweet of that manager, but it speaks volumes to how kind you are to them, I know the GW workers here sometimes aren't treated very nicely by customers, which is sad, it literally cost nothing to be kind. Have an amazing New Year!
I've been very blessed lately! I wish we could go shopping together! I never have anyone to shop with, there's been a few times where I've been able to persuade my husband to go with me but he's not a fan. 😂 I definitely try to be kind to everybody. I've seen some people be rude to the workers at Goodwill and it just makes me sad. Thank you! I hope you have an amazing New year too!❤️🥰
I am a new reseller and I’ve fell in love with your channel! Thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful treasures! I’m going to hopefully find some awesome 90’s y2k finds soon!
Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful New Year! She definitely makes it easy to be nice to her. She's always so kind. I definitely feel blessed to have a store to go to with really great workers. I appreciate them all.❤️🥰
Just found you. Don't usually watch clothing vids. Enjoyed your sourcing. Thanks for explaining why you did or did Not pick things up. Happy NewYear! Lots of luck in 2024..
Wow you're my favorite Reselling youtube channel new find! Amazing items, you have an amazing eye for style and substantial pieces! Your videos are funny o watch and I always learn so much from them, thanks for all the work you do!
Thanks for another great video!! I always look forward to them! ❤ I had never thought to pick-up Title Nine but started doing it after watching you. So far I've sold one of their dresses & a sweater within days of listing! Your knowledge is priceless-thanks again!! 😊❤
Sweet manager ❤but you are so sweet too😊 great pick ups per usual 😮🎉 I swear you have a gold mine there it seems 😅I love my local thrifts too …. Love the anthro dress and the silk animal print shirt the best 🎉happy January sales to us all 🎉peace and love and health this year ❤

Hope you had a great holiday season and lots of great new memories! Nice to see you. : ). I sold a skirt by that Etcetera brand recently. It was a beautiful unique style and it was hashtags that sold it - and fast - within 2-3 weeks. Just wanted to share in case that's helpful!
Thank you! I hope you had a great one too! I've sold a few items from the brand before but 00/ XS sizes make me nervous about picking items up that aren't showing a good sell-through rate. That's so awesome though. Good for you!! Ugh now I feel like I should have snagged it. Haha. 😂❤️
Ohhh, so true! Sorry, I forgot that jacket you saw was so small! I do sell plenty of extra small stuff myself - but I live in an area with wealthy families and a lot of the young ladies get to buy expensive jeans in size 25!! I only pickup the really standout unique ones for sure. Don't doubt yourself! I think you called it right!@@ThriftandThriveMarita
Hi! Great video! What a great haul! You keep scoring on all the brands I constantly look for and they’re in great condition! I feel like I look through thousands of garments and leave with like 3 items in 2 hours! Wish my thrift stores were like that! Anyway when you have watchers on eBay do you send offers out right away or allow the chips fall where they may? I feel like I keep lowballing myself when I send out offers like that, but then feel like buyers lose interest if I don’t send offers. Thankyou for these videos! I’m a new subscriber so I’m binging a bit
Thank you for watching! I hope you have great luck the next time you go out treasure hunting! 🤞 I send out offers on eBay multiple times throughout the day. I think sending out offers as soon as you can is important because that's when that person is the most interested in the item and they're active on the platform at that time. I like to price my items a little bit higher to give myself some wiggle room for sending out offers and also accepting them from buyers. Hope that helps! ❤️
I just came across your channel and really happy as I have passed up some of these brands because I did not realize they would sell for what they do!!! I learned so much so subscribed... Where are you locared?
It’s interesting to note how definitions change. The iridescent fabric used to be called “shot” fabric and can be a number of materials like cotton and silk, where the weft is one colour and the weave is another so you get that shifting of colours between the two. Maybe iridescent fabric is different again?
Hey! Not silly at all. Typically vintage labels look different. But the best indicator for me is the material tag. The texture of them is more firm. The typing is different and they're typically made in the USA. What I did in the beginning was I would look up vintage items on ebay and then I would look at the label and the material tags pictures to get a better idea of what I would be looking for. Hope that helps. ❤️🥰
Enjoy your videos, thanks for showing all your items and the buy and sell prices . It helps us in our buying and listing process.❤can’t wait to for next video 💕Happy New Year 🎉
What was in your gift bag?!! However big or small it is that is so sweet that you have that kind of relationship with your sourcing store. Always learn from your videos, thanks!
That's what I thought too! I was just beyond flattered that she even thought of me at all! I'm definitely blessed that all the workers at my store are really kind people and I appreciate them all so much. It was a noodle maker. 🥰 Thank you for watching! Happy you're taking value from the videos.❤️
I absolutely love your videos. Keep posting! I have a question...do you have any tips on knowing what is vintage vs not vintage when at the thrift store? Is there an easy way based on the label? I know some obvious things like if the it has an ILWU label on it or a date, etc. but sometimes I pass on items not knowing if they are vintage or not. I have found some websites that show specific vintage labels for various clothing brands but I would be spending hours at the thrift store having to reference those on my phone while I am shopping. Just trying to pick your brain as you seem to have so much knowledge on vintage. Keep posting, lover your videos!
I'm so happy that you're enjoying the videos, that means a lot! So the way that I can tell if something is vintage is by the look of the label and material tag. Vintage pieces material tags are more structured, firm, the typing looks different and will typically be made in the USA. What I did when I first started picking up vintage pieces was I would look at vintage listings on eBay and inspect the label and also the material tag photos to get a better idea of what to look for in the wild. Hope that helps! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰❤️
Another awesome video! Thank you for sharing all your great finds. It’s really helpful that you share your cost of goods. I live in Canada and am new to reselling. I feel that our cost of goods is so much higher and that really eats into profits. Hopefully, I get my groove soon with sourcing. Happy New Year Marita!
Thank you for watching! So happy that you find it helpful. I've never thrifted in Canada, but I have heard from other people that it is more expensive. Do you have any Goodwill bins/outlet nearby to maybe balance out your COG? I hope you have tons of great luck the next time you go out treasure hunting!🤞 Thank you! Happy New Year to you too! ❤️🥰
@@ThriftandThriveMaritaI’m in Ontario and we have Goodwill stores but they don’t offer bins. The only bin Thrift store we have is in Toronto, which luckily is only 2 hrs from me. For myself, im going to be making regular trips over the border into NY to get to your Goodwill bins 😂. The other day, I went to Talize and found some great items. Unfortunately, most prices were $15.99-$20.00, so it sucks but you can find great designer items if you’re willing to spend time and search 👍
I really like both platforms and it's nice to have two so if one's having a bad day the other one makes up for it. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Poshmark is my favorite. ☺️❤️
So happy you're enjoying them! Thanks for watching. So I try not to pick up items that I think I would have to wash. But I do steam treat all my items which disinfects them and gets the wrinkles out. A win-win! ❤️
Happy New Year! You find such great stuff. I"m in Boise, and it makes me want to drive north and thrift up there. Maybe my daughter and I will make a thrifting trip this summer. :)
Happy new year! I love Boise. I have a friend there and I've been thrifting there too! If you do come over here with your daughter let me know and we could meet up and thrift at my favorite spots.❤️
I'm a mama of 1, but found out I'm pregnant 2 days after Christmas...lol. I don't want to have a typical 9-5 job and miss on anything with them. What would you recommend to someone wanting to start doing this reselling business more on a full time like you? Love your videos! I know it's not easy, but you can make your own schedule.
Congratulations! That's exciting! Are you currently reselling now just part time? What I did was I worked at my regular job up until I was making the same reselling as I was there. I also saved up an emergency fund that would cover a couple months of expenses. If your currently reselling and want to grow you will need to increase your inventory number and put most of your profits back into your business for now until you grow it to the point you just want to sustain it. 🥰❤️
@ThriftandThriveMarita Thank you 😁 I've been reselling more like whenever I give it time, because I didn't know that this could actually be a job/business. Thank you so much fornthe advice, I'm definitely going to take it in, and dedicate more time to it.
I am looking into Prime Lister, but it is telling me that your computer/Chrome extension must be “on and active” for them to share? Is this correct? I would LOVE to find a way to share without running my laptop all day. 🤷🏼♀️ LOVE your videos!
Hey! Are you on the cloud based portion or are you on your Poshmark page with the side extension tool open? If you're on the poshmark page with the side tool, you'll have to have your computer open. But if you go to your PrimeLister web browser page and log on then go to your Poshmark automation tool account click the 'Automations' section and then set your actions for how many items you want it to share within an hour (max 1,000 each hour), set your offers to likers preference and all other actions. You can leave your computer shut and it will go through all those actions that you set up throughout the entire day through the cloud extension. Let me know if you have any other questions. ❤️🥰
Not in this video but my previous one PrimeLister had sponsored it and close to the beginning portion of the video during the ad I showed some screen recordings of me using it in the cloud based section. That's what you want to be on to set up all the background actions that run throughout the day. ☺️
Awesome video as always, thanks for sharing.😊 How long do you usually take at the thrift store? I’m still kinda new and it takes me about 3-4 hours because I’m constantly looking for comps while there and I’m not even done with the whole store lol and how can I get better at it? Thanks
Hey! Thanks for watching! So definitely great that you're taking your time checking comps! I feel like that's a lot more important then getting through the store fast. Especially when you're starting out. That's something I wish I had been better about in the beginning. I've been reselling for 6 years and I still take 3-4 hours at one store and I don't even look through the whole store. I typically skip tanks, short sleeves and shorts. So I think you sound like you're doing amazing! ❤️
@@ThriftandThriveMarita Thank you so much for your response! It’s been so encouraging! I quit my job last October to do this FT and I do love it and have been getting daily sales because of your videos and other resellers as well. Thank you! :)
Hi, Thank you for the Video, I have a Question. What you do to share all your closets?? Because I only have 480 available listing and take long to share. Ty and Happy New Years🎉
Hey! Thanks for watching! I use PrimeLister's Poshmark automation tool to share my closet. Once it started taking up too much time for me to do it myself, that's when I just bit the bullet and paid for the service. I do have a 30% off your first month if you use my link in my description for PrimeLister. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just let me know. I hope you're having a wonderful New years and that you had a great Christmas! 🥰❤️🎉
In my comment section I posted a comment that I pinned and at the bottom of that there's a link to PrimeLister. It's a Poshmark automation tool that you link up to your closet through your web browser and then you automate all the actions you want it to do for you. I have mine set so throughout the day it shares my closet and then it also sends out offers for me. They have a 14 free trial and videos that guide you on how to set it up once you sign up. Let me know if you have any mores questions. I'm always happy to help! ❤️
I wanted to try prime listed but it shows 2 products on their website. Do you have to buy both? One for cross listings and the other for posh animation?
Hey! So they provide two separate tools. If you click on the Poshmark Automation tool and do the trial or purchase for $25 a month it will give you all the features of sharing, sending offers, relisting and more. ☺️❤️
Great video! Going to start reselling this new year! Can you please give me a few tax tips? Can I write off Poshmark & eBay fees? File quarterly or yearly? Will it effect our filing married jointly? I need to avoid that! 🤣 Do you track all inventory separately on a spreadsheet or bulk just with a receipt? Any tax tracker or apps that will help me with this? Right. Now we do our own taxes that's why I'm not asking a tax preparer. I really appreciate any questions you can answer for me!! This is the only fear I have as far as reselling. I really dislike my job & need a change for the New Year. I know I can do this since I have been in sales for over 20 years. Thank you in advance & happy new year❤️❤️🎉🎉🙏😘
Thank you! Awesome that's so exciting! I really wish I could help, but I don't feel like I'm very qualified to give tax information. I know that lots of accountants will do a free consultations and they should be able to answer all of your questions as well. That's what I did when I first started out. I would advise getting QuickBooks to organize all of your business transactions. You can also input your inventory information on there as well so that everything is consolidated. Wishing you the best of luck and a very happy New Year! ❤️🎉🥰
I can tell by the label and the material tag for vintage items they look different and also an item being made in the USA is a great indicator as well.☺️❤️

I really like both platforms and it's nice to have two so if one's having a bad day the other one makes up for it. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Poshmark is my favorite. ☺️❤️
I love watching your videos, you find the best items. Question: do you wash the items before you ship them, if they are wrinkled do you iron them?
I'm learning so much from you ❤
Oh good! So happy you're getting value from the videos. ❤️
Wow. Great finds. What state are you in?
Thank you! I'm from Washington. ❤️
Of course! I'm excited to hear how your growth journey goes! If you have any questions down the road I'd love to help. ❤️
@@ThriftandThriveMarita Thanks to respond, where I found PrimeListers? Is a App?
But what's also nice is if down the road you decided to use their cross listing tool as well everything is consolidated on one area.
Well thought out video. The music is unnecessary however IMO. Good haul!
Thank you! ❤️
I'm not a mom but my cat provides cute but unwanted company while I'm filming 😂 happy new year to you and your family
Haha happy you can relate! 😂
Happy New Year to you too! I hope you have a wonderful one. ❤️
How can you tell an item of clothing is vintage?
I can tell by the label and the material tag for vintage items they look different and also an item being made in the USA is a great indicator as well.☺️❤️
@@ThriftandThriveMarita Thank you!
