    Constructive criticism: Your music is so bad and so overwhelmingly loud that I couldn't bear to keep watching. Make better videos by keeping the music slightly above audible threshold when the primary purpose is anything other than a music video and don't fade it louder. Your audience is not watching these videos for the music.

      100% agree and came to the comment section to say the same thing!
      I don't know if I am alone in this thought, but to me, the sounds of the work itself are the real music that I want to hear. The sawing, chopping, hammering playing over a backdrop of ambient natural noise.
      Music to my ears.

      I see many negative comments here. Although your comment is more of asking if the work could be done easier or more efficient. Which in my opinion is much more helpful than a bunch of egotistical people who think there is only one way to do something. If you are from alaska you should know there are many ways to trap, hunt, build, and flat out survive in the wild. I know a guy who lived there 25 plus years as a wild life biologist. He is good at teaching people what he knows. See when you can build a cabin what ever way you think is the right way great for you! But do you have what it takes to effectively teach other people how to build the same quality work as your self? One thing to be capable of something, but teaching it is on a whole other level. All you shit talkers should surround yourself with people who are above your skill level and learn something maybe you will be HUMBLED

    What is " chinking"? What is it made of? Do you make it naturally from the environment or you get it from hardware store. Would it prevent leakage. What do you use to prevent insects from attacking your log cabin. I sorry if I'm asking many questions. Our forefathers , build log cabins differently. I'm just interested.

      Depending on your budget and intended use , chinking can be moss, mud , clay, or various insulation or spray foams can also be purchased

    Hey i have a question for you why does everyone skin the logs for and not keep the skin on ?? When the log is a tree with roots doesn't the skin protect the tree when it rains wouldn't leaving the tree skin be a good thing?? Just wondering.

      Its possibly because the bark would leave too many gaps in the house.
      Just looked it up, bugs live under the bark and a part of the bark can hollow out and become a breeding ground.

      The logs were milled, they didn't show it.

      Bark traps moisture and bugs. The milling and shaping process also removes the bark as a first step.

    It was smart to make that box but obviously the tree would have to be within the right dimension. What dimension are the trees you selected?

      Trees were milled to the same dimensions, they were not natural size.

    Geez, my cousins and I built log cabins over a weekend. And we were kids. They may not have been this fancy, but they were always functional.

      wow, you really built them in one weekend? Nice! It`s annoying wathcing many youtube videos of guys spending 1-3 years building a log cabin when traditionally it was a FAST way to build a cabin

    Why not leave the bark on? Does it not serve as a waterproofing and a natural wood preservative?

    • @rsmail7426
      @rsmail7426 3 года назад

      Quite the opposite. Dead bark will hold moisture and a smooth surface is easy to stain.
