Just bought a set of these a Michelin Agillis across climate 235/85/16 E for my 2000 ford f350 4x4 7.3 6 speed cab and chassis tool bed/fuel truck. Had transforce, cooper, Sailun before. OMG..... rides like new off dealer showroom floor. Quiet. Steers so smooth. I'm shocked. Rides like butter. Just unbelievable. It does pick up rocks. I'm still in the first 300 miles. Shockingly good. I wrote this June 2023.

My experience with Michelins is that they are still quiet, smooth, good in the rain etc even when they are old and nearly worn out.
Other tires are noisy, ill handling in the wet, rough riding, etc at 50%
Michelins are worth it for long life with the same expectations from the tires throughout their life.

Great information in this video mate. Michelin I find are great tyres if you rack up the miles in a short time, otherwise if you keep them on for a long time and tootle about town they get all hard and cracks appear I find.

Thanks for the video, yeah, like previous post might want to ease up on the camera shift next time. Good info but video was a all over the place.

These tires have good traction in snow and rain.My only downside comment would be that for the first 10000 kms they pick up rocks like crazy and then down the road you can here them hitting the inner fenders

Dude, less about the employee and more about the tires. Focus.

This year, 2 weeks ago had 4 installed but when the tire shop got them, 1 was not able to be balanced on the Road force machine and had to get another one. Then, the van shook and shimmied so bad, I took back the next day, they did a rebalance and it was terrible. I did my own lateral tire runout in my driveway and saw one tire was maybe 1/2 lateral runout, I told the tire shop that their tire tech or the balancer is out of whack, that it should have picked this bad tire up. I went back and got Generals HTS 60's and now the van runs smooth up to 90. Maybe these batch of Michelin were just bad, but I had Michelin Defender Load E on the van for 7 years and they looked new except for dry rot. I'm ticked that they no longer make the Defenders for my size and based on the trouble I had, I'll never buy them again. I guess that saying "sooner or later you'll own Generals" is true, at least for me.

I've driven on just about every Tire the,TransForce they're okay but wear out quick I think I got 50,000 on those. Bridgestones 60,000 good Tire. The yokohamas I got 80,000 Mi out of those. Just an excellent Tire all the way around. Then the Cooper HT. They must be the worst Tire I've ever had ..then had to have them balanced six times. But I got about 50,000 miles out of them. Literally shake your teeth out of your head at 65 mph. Of course I have the right amount of air in the front and back just like recommended and it is on a 2018 GMC Savana extended . I've just never had a tire that was that bad. I'm getting the Michelin agilis crossclimate. Hope they do well. I average 400 miles a day. I will see how long they last

I've driven home on now 3 days and they still have the little tip thingies that the new tires have whatever they're called I'm thinking they'll last me quite a while. Also it used to pull to the right I don't know why but suddenly it doesn't pull to the right anymore kind of weird but it fix that just saying. Also the wondering from left to right that the Savannah 2018 had what I bought it is now gone it tracks straight down the road. But just like the new tires have I call the jello new tires syndrome. These do not have that as much but it's still there a little. I guess I can jump out there and say these are the best tires so far I've ever had are they worth the extra money right now I'm saying yes but time will tell I've got now 900 miles on them. Be back

I'm on my second set of Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain Adventure with kevlar. I got 60k out of my first set and I'm on my way there with my second set. For the price point I'm happy so far. They work very well. 2018 Ram 3500 SRW, 36' Kaufman 2 car trailer hotshot.

I like the video. Looks like an 8-lug on the better set. I just ordered for a 2500 YukonXL 4x4 (8-lug). I'm hoping these work for highway and some snow.

So... You recommend this tire, or you don't recommend this tire?
How much treadwear is left on the careful guy's tires vs the guy who doesn't know how to load?
It appears that the treadwear bars are very visable, how close to 2/32s is it?
SUPPOSE, I am wanting this just as an everyday tire for my 2500 Suburban, Do you think that not being under a load would make a difference in the wear? (I've got a 496ci and can haul at least 15,000).
How good is the ride in those tires?

Thanks for this video. I heard you say for an "empty pickup" not heavy hauling you'd probably stick with the LTX M/S2. Why? I'm between the two. Thanks in advance!

I have the same question, I'm putting a lot of miles on unloaded, but am hauling a trailer in northern michigan (snow/ice); looking for a tire recommendation (2020 Chevy 2500).

I think the defender ltx m/s or m/s2 will be slightly more comfortable/quiet. They’re similar but the agilis crossclimate is marketed towards fleets with work vans and work trucks. Ie more sidewall banding etc

My wife jeep Cherokee hemi have the ms2.,
Supposedly loaded most times go with the cross climate.,
      Unloaded mostly ms2.

I replaced Michilin Lts ms2 tires on an econoline van with Generals, and am having a balance issue that they can't seem to correct, and have been offered the Agilis. What say you about handling characteristics of the Agilis in comparison to the MS2s?

So when you say take care of our tires for proper load does that include only inflating to the door sticker on your truck no mater if you are running with a load or without a load?

Great video. I have a RAM 2500 and wear tires quickly (30-35k) OEMs but am leaning towards Agilis or LTX M/S. Daily driver, tow boat and trailer. Would you recommend Agilis vs LTX M/S? Thanks.

I was able to get 60,000 out of my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Went to Discount Tire for replacement and Michelin is fazing out the Defenders????? I could have gone up a size but would have had to replace a new spare,.....so I ordered the Agilis. I hope they are as quiet as the Defenders. Discount Tire offers to return the tires within 30 days if I don't like them. I can't argue with that.

Hi Paul, Last month I just bought 6 of those Michilin AGILIS crossclimate tires for my ol 12 valve cummins dually with exhaust brake. Since I bought them I have been hauling 36 foot industrial kitchen trailers back and forth from near your area in Washington back to Los Angeles. Everybody recommends inflating to the MAX 80psi. But what about with the high temperatures this month I have been running the rear dualls at 70 instead of 80 because i'm worried about the heat over pressurizing the tire. What psi are you setting these tires at on your trucks? Thanks Spencer!

    • @russellrobins5320
      @russellrobins5320 3 года назад +1

we are on our first set of agilis now. Have run LTX and LTX Defender previously. Always ran at 80 psi on rears and never had issue with over pressurization or uneven tread wear. The installer set the rears of these new agilis to 70 psi and 50 on the fronts it was a noticeable squirmy feedback from the tires compared to when i pumped them up to 80. Time will tell with this agilis
