Shorter's ideas are so great! I could hear him all day long and find new stuff on every bar of his improv. Of course the other members of the band, comping behind him, are the epitome on each instrument... and all so young!
I think he definitely had a larger creative component in the band than other members but I think saying 75% is a little insulting to the rest of the band
Tony Williams was only 19 years old at that time! But already renewing drumming!
Wayne shorter is a genius

NOTHING BETTER!!!!!!
Amazing to see herbie playing like that in 1964 so ahead of its time
Jazz is to music what Quantum Physics is to Science.
it's fucking hard that's for sure
Not really classical music is a lot more complicated
@@josephsouaiby4278 i respectfully disagree
@@josephsouaiby4278 If you're a composer, perhaps. Even then, I'd beg to differ.
No
Hancock smoked this piece
00:43-00:47 Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me) ??
I wanna be like miles. Not give a single fuck when the audience cheers. Just. Nah im just doin my thing
Herbie killed everybody.
Is miles davis the one who is playing the trompet or saxophone?

Un peu bas le son mais c'est super!
Yeah, this is music truly beyond my imagination.... Perfect, yet incomprensible.

Herbie is ridiculous
When I want to hear real music
great sax solo there by my man Mohammed Ali
thank you
Would it be correct to say that red garland is on piano and Paul chambers is on bass?
no.
OK, just teasing - It's Herbie Hancock, piano, and Ron Carter, bass.
This is not Autumn Leaves.
Doch! Bei Minute 8 z.B. kann man Fragmente hören. Und Minute 13!
Danke fürs Hochladen!
Lol I love how this actually is Autumn Leaves
It is Autumn Leaves stretched out Miles style.
its even in the right key!
That's called a solo bruh
Wayne Shorter is soooo boring. Has always been.
goph999 yeah rite....tony and the rest of them thought so too.
I think he definitely had a larger creative component in the band than other members but I think saying 75% is a little insulting to the rest of the band
Give me George Coleman any day. Shorter just seems to meander, no highs or lows. Bit like snake charming.
Anyone who doesn't like Wayne doesn't have an open mind
