    Shorter's ideas are so great! I could hear him all day long and find new stuff on every bar of his improv. Of course the other members of the band, comping behind him, are the epitome on each instrument... and all so young!

      I think he definitely had a larger creative component in the band than other members but I think saying 75% is a little insulting to the rest of the band

      Give me George Coleman any day. Shorter just seems to meander, no highs or lows. Bit like snake charming.
