Very well said Jonathan. I'm new to Montclair and have been thinking a great deal about the pros and cons of owning a building here. High taxes was a tough one to get my head around, However purchasing a 2 family building, easily covers that expense. Your closing point that the market does not have a ceiling due to high demand, is so comforting. Knowing that I will likely not loose money on my investment makes a world of difference.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind comment. You can still buy smart in Montclair and maintain great future value, but you have to understand the long-term play of your offer there on any property. I am glad this helped.
New Jersey is the densest state in the US so that is to be expected, but because there are four different hub areas, Montclair at least spreads the options around.
@@JonathanGreeneRE , I believe the latter. I'm 67, looking for a safe and friendly community, a place with a bit of nature to bask in too. Taking a leap of Faith.
@@melindahernandez8778 safe and friendly is always something that is determined by each person individually based on what they are comfortable with so no realtor can advise you on that specifically, but there are a lot of parks in Montclair and it is a VERY walkable suburb. Reach out if you need any help.
Very true, but bus service is available throughout most of Montclair on the weekends, and Bay Street is an easy drop-off, walk, or Uber for most residents on the weekend.
If you only lived in Montclair a short time ,,, did you learn anything about its history and culture ??? many North Jersey towns are quite expensive ,,, Life isnt always about the money !!!!
Your comment doesn't even make any sense. The video is to help people who are looking to buy in Montclair identify some of the pros and cons of doing that, not run down the history (which I do know). I wouldn't consider 6 years a short time either.
