I'm new to all this.. and have watched dozens RUclips videos on how to drill into wall correctly. Your video here is the CLEAREST and most comprehensive tutorial I have found (and it's short, too!) So, thank you! 👍

What if I cant get deep enough into the wall, because I tryed so hard and it didn't work. And what if I directly screwed a hook into the wall with short screws, without making a hole first? Im a bit out of ideas at this point.

It could be that the wall has a metal structural beam behind the plaster. Not possible to drill with a normal drill. If you put short screws directly into the wall they wont stay in the wall for long if you hang too much weight on them

thanks, i almost du the same way, but now i need to get myself that wire detection tool.
i mostly use the wood rather then plastic hole for the screw, as most of them always get damage.
i did liked the idea of having a tape to know when to stop.
    thanks.

I didn't understand why the drill wasn't perforing. Now I know it wasn't on hammer action u.u

Some people recommend making a smaller pilot hole first.

My wall is impossible to drill! It came black blood out of it and after sweating for 15 minutes I went maybe 1cm deep and I gave up easily!

    Woodie's TV
Your video is of no help whatsoever. I tried all that before I saw your video and the drill would not penetrate beyond 6mm into wall (even on hammer).

Lol me too ive been drilling for hours in our wall cant seem to penetrate. I wonder what kind of material did they use, its too hard to penetrate.

The strange thing is that on one area of the wall the drill will go through ¾ inch, but 8 inches down from there it can not penertrate more than 6mm, god knows why?
