It teaches everything that she mentioned, not just how to be your own boss but how to manage someone else’s business and overall everything about business. You can also choose to work in any of those positions with an Entrepreneurship degree, but unlike the other majors, this one is broad, which is the reason a lot of business schools prefer offering it separately. I am sorry if you are looking for a business degree because you hate math haha, I saw math as much as someone on a finance/accounting major, sometimes I had to help those on a Financial Management major.
Marketing. I was planning a masters in Marketing as well but failed the pre-master course due to the extensive and incredibly difficult maths and statistics classes. They only gave us half a year with no second chances. Really bummed out because of it, because I like marketing I’m just not great in maths. If they’d give us a year I probably would’ve been able to pass.
@@IyadElBaz yes unfortunately. We also didn’t get any proper lectures. Just 2 hours of recorded video’s and 1 hour a week where submitted questions were answered partially.
Y'all all of these are very popular. Specially the recent rising trend of taking Finance. I just want to say that, yes, you can get a big sum of money, but keep in mind that competition is TIGHT. My Dad is currently a financial director at some company, while my Mom used to be a Controller too, but she is only a manager now because she stopped working after getting pregnant. Besides all Engineering degrees, Business degrees such as accounting, finance, marketing, etc. pays very well! So if you are interested, then it is a good career path. Remember tho, it comes with a good price. The difficulty is subjective, but imo, what makes it hard is the constant overtime, and the required credentials and experiences to climb the corporate ladder. So work hard and gain a lot of skills!
You forgot to mention Management Information Systems... If you look into variables such as salary, job satisfaction, flexibility of career options, it is quite honestly the best Business degree out of all listed here

I got so frustrated once I talked to my dad about it (fun fact he’s an A+ student in EVERY subject and teached collage students when he was a student himself, i didn’t get his skills lol) he said “don’t pressure yourself and study for what people what you to do, do what YOU wanna do, what you feel interested in and what you like. If your not interested in what your doing you can’t earn the money bc you don’t understand and don’t have the skills, but if ur interested you’ll understand, have the skills and earn the money” i thought about that for 1 year, ONE YEAR. And now I’m in the position where I need to DECIDE. It’s hard, seriously the silent pressure, the pressure from MYSELF. I have no idea.
Med is great if you have a passion for it. Business is better in my opinion though. In med, you’re always going to be an employee. In business, you have the option of being an employee or starting your own business. Idk about you but I’d rather employ doctors than to be one tbh. You get to help more people by owning the clinic than you ever can going into med yourself.
Same position as you girl. I can have a good life but my real happiness depends on my academic success. It seems tough already which makes me worried about the future. I’m no math whiz nor a poetic genius but I had a head start because I had people to guide me (albeit sometimes harsh). I would love to go into finance but I’m not GREAT with numbers. I know finance people, and the really successful ones are really smart. I don’t think I’ll ever function on that level. My strength lies in liberal arts it seems but I desperately want to stray away from that. Stem brings in the money but it’s just not what I’m good at.
I came across this short again and saw that I commented this 😭. I am a freshmen now and it’s been around 4-5 months since school started. Midterms are next week and I’ve been trying to study a lot. It’s funny how around 5 months ago I’ve been thinking about majoring into the business or medical field but now I’m thinking about CS. If ur from a local state school, it's gonna be less than that, most likely. In general, accounting majors tend to make more money than most other business majors except finance, real estate, and MIS.

There's statistics and data analysis involved in marketing, and as a part of business school you have to take 2-3 accounting classes (which are hard), few finance (doable) and economics (hell) classes.
@@sissi9100I might major in accounting instead of marketing. A lot of the feedback I have received are negative for marketing but more positive for accounting. Apparently accounting is the best business major out of every other for these various reasons, higher pay, in higher demand, more stability, easier to break into other businesses related jobs, etc.

It's too broad and lacks depth unfortunately, which is why most business schools have their BBA/BCom students concentrate in one of these.
