New RC pilots on beginner heli. Can we land on the stump?

We've had this heli for a long time but I thought I needed a completely calm day to fly it. Here where I live, a calm day is very rare. So my son offered to try in mild winds with little gusts. Once I saw it, I tried too but all the footage is of my son flying.
