Surprisingly this is exactly what is was looking for for last couple days. Tried 3ds max and Rhino Grasshopper. But guess this one helps a lot too! Thanks.
I'm not sure there is a way. I suspect you could use a void cutter geometry somehow. Or you delete those wonky panels and make in place model panels that fit how you like them, then assign them to curtain panel family type so they will still show up in the schedule... But I've seen these types of videos using the pattern roof mass adaptive family thing a bunch of time, and never once do they get into that part.
