In WRC generations they've decreased the graphics quality in order to increase the level of details. I personally like this approach because it kinda remembers me of Zelda Breath of The Wild, since Switch graphics are bad even if we compare to the PS4 generation graphics, they invested in the level of details and got quite the realistic graphics.
Maybe resolution have in mind cuz you say totally nonsense 😅plus generations looks same or a bit better

Since WRC9 was updated with proper controller steering I've been playing it a lot and I would consider getting Generations as well.
What do you mean by updated with proper controller settings? As far as I can tell, and the thing that annoys me so much about the steering in these games is that the sensitivity doesn’t affect how fast your wheels turn left or right, which it does in dirt rally 2. Then when you release they snap back faster than they turned which makes the steering really inconsistent.

@@LtKatzeGP yea.. generations seems pretty ok in terms of controlling the cars however; I find 9 to be the easiest in terms of controlling them but they also feel light as a feather in that game. It’s such a simple fix but for some reason they don’t change it… oh well the next WRC game will be made by codemasters so the steering should be the same as DR2
Light is better, sound seems better, but driving seems more arcade, the car is more heavy and they boost the track control
Graphics on generations look more colourful and brighter. The car Engine sounds are better in Generations but someway behind Dirt Rally 2.0. WRC games are good rally games I own 8 and 10 but for me they're a bit mediocre compared to Dirt Rally 2.0. Much as Generations looks like a step up I would only consider it when on sale.

I have all the WRC Games and Dirt Rally 2.0.....The latest WRC Generations its a step forward and i think is the best WRC game that KT Racing build.....I am playing it since the day one of release and still i have disconnect my sterring wheel from my desk
if dirt rally games had the rights for all the cars, tracks and the sponsors i think it would be the ultimate rally game of all time

For some reason, the rear lights look bad in Generations in most scenarios. They barely light up, we need them to be "shinier".
The cars from wrc generations ride like a hoofercraft
the sounds of the cars in wrc 10 is the same especially rally1. But you can hear the different sounds that give character to rally1 cars on generations

I don't quite get the comments whining about graphics. I'd much rather an enjoyable rally experience to "good graphics" any day of the weeks and this series has done that for me. I certainly prefer it to DiRT Rally 2.0 which often times just feels far too easy. That being said, these graphics aren't even bad to begin with, especially in a game where you aren't sitting still staring at the details, why must they be so good? Perhaps I'm biased because most of the games I play these days are from the 90's but games are more than their graphics.

Graphics are nice for when you sit back and watch a video of a rally. When I’m actually driving myself I don’t even have a second to really look at them.

I see the graphics comparison is not with the same wheater and condition, wrc generations have more start surrounding on and shadow rendition but I didn't see the difference showed in the video due to different conditions, it will be better comparison with identical condition.
If dirt rally 2.0 was more complicated like wrc, it would be a perfect rally game

Codemasters has real car sounds
Apart from the Ford Fiesta WRC & the Yaris. Some cars like the Volkswagen Polo Rally and the Citron C3 Rally 2. The sound profile is almost there, but once you hit the rev limiter. It legit sounds like the sound is clipping. Like they tried to record these cars with a really old phone. Its a shame because some of the cars do sound better.
The rev limiter of the 1997 Subaru is absolutely ridiculous and annoying. It sounds like someone is trying to open a door for which they dont have the code for in the game Rust. When I hit the rev limiter its the only thing I can think of. lol

WRC 10 has the better lighting. The roads look so much better. Also the engine sounds are better.
I like details like, 1:50 the inside of the car is blurry from the water on the window, in generations this is not the case.
3:02 In front of car much lighter because headlights. Looks so good. 3:26 See the difference ? Not so good. 3:42 Headlights in WRC 10 not shiny enough tho.

Uhm no, graphics are better, physics are better, sounds are better, they're better in every single way. I bought Generations and I must say I'm pretty happy with it, I had never owned any of the previous games so it servers me very well and it doesn't bother me that it is similar to the last games, given that I do not own those last games

The physics on Generations seems off, somehow. The cars feel rather floaty. Makes no difference though. I still play the hell out of it 😄

yeah wet weather and reflections are terrible. Other than that its a great game
So been playing both on the driving sim for couple months now. have to say hands down 10 is way better, provides a more realistic experience through the force feed back and driving overall. Feel the road alot more, generations just feels like your floating the whole time. Comparing cars like the group b fiat its just night and day, cars seem to go faster and have alot more torque. Ill miss generations tracks but definitly not that water

No, 10 is way worse. It's a wannabe F1 simulator. The cars grip and accelerate and slow-down in incredibly unrealistic ways. They are extremely fast at everything, which is wrong. There's no complexity in the handling at all. Real-life cars are far slower, less grippy, clumsier, and critical to drive than in WRC 10. WRC Generations does everything better. In real life Group B cars aren't much faster than R5 cars on the average rally stage. The WRC games, and specially Dirt Rally, have exploited society's belief that Group B cars are incredibly fast and the fastest ever - but they are not. They are average for today's standards, and in some places they can be dog-slow. In rally, engine power is mostly useless. Suspensions, differentials, tires, and aerodynamics are way more important. certainly are. Do you know if they are better in wrc 10? I have not played 10. I love generations but the poor reflections and wet weather effects spoil it for me a lot.

Only better thing on wrc 10 is sense of speed bicause the outside cam have better position,in generations is the cam little to near on car and far cam is to high. Graphics, scope, sounds, physichs and everything else are better on generations.

The outside cam shouldnt be a thing in my opinion, just makes controller players want to play this. I think the wheel is a must on this game, i still like WRC 10 better as u mentioned the sense of speed and traction feels so much more satisfying. And the graphics in my opinion have such a low priority to me its not even that noticable when going full send in most of the stages.. Cheers from Croatia ❤

I really like the design of the racing circuits, but it's clear that the game has stopped in time. Now it's Codemaster, it's going to improve everything, but the circuit designer is going to be boring, tiresome and cloying at the study level, otherwise everything will be better.

not great only having the "physics" clips be from 3rd person cam. most serious sim racers who care most about the physics only race in 1st person cockpit or bonnet cam.

You have to get WRC 8 to play the beautiful Australia sadly, I wish they added all their previous stages not sure why they left it out I really liked those jungle looking tracks.

Both games are really enjoyable except for the antialiasing problems with graphics. It can bleed the eyes out. Otherwise good games.

Honestly I enjoy dirt 2.0 as a rally game but the best rally type game in my opinion is dirt 4 but I've never played wrc and would give it a try before I judge it based off a video I watch

Man what you talk about. Generations look more realistic than 10 because colors are not cinematic and fairytalish. You can also see on the roof of the car how lights love from one side to another.

@@Nerderkips Right now comparing WRC7 - WRC9 and WRC G (STEAM versions), and must admit, graphics tuned up very nice, and its closer to WRC7 graphics style right now, but unfortunately handling got worse (driving like on ice). It's worse then in my favorites WRC7 and WRC9 (gamepad control)
