I love the pyg track. Your film brought back great memories. I’ve climbed it twice using my crutches as I’m disabled. It took me a while but got there in the end. Great film thank you.
Great video! I did this route yesterday for the second time, my first time 2 years ago the weather was poor so I was really looking forward to returning. Had a great day, was up and down in just under 5 hours, 3 hours up, 1 hour 50 down. Serious leg work out.
Brilliant memories for the 2 of you and beautiful music as well. I'll be 64 next February and this is on my bucket list along with a tour of the Scottish highlands in my R50 53 reg Mini Cooper. Think I will be best to take the easiest route. Best wishes 2U both.
Great video mate, love the soundtrack too! We went up a few years ago but the clouds came in so nice to see the view from the top, look forward to the next one!
Love the video. It's our first time doing Snowdon and out of all the routes I have scoped out PYG and Miners looks good whereby our dog will be fine too. Llanberis has been recommended but it's long and overcrowded. Can I ask, as you get closer to the summit where you stopped filming is it hard to climb i.e. a sharp ridge or is it gradual like the rest of the route? Thanks
The end is an intense climb , before the final summit steps it’s a steep walk and a lot of people give up there . If you’re fit and up for a leg burner you’ll be fine . I’ve seen people who are shall we say “ not fit “ get to the top .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist cheers mate. Yeah, we are fit and healthy and go hiking most weekends just haven't done the national 3 peaks and trying to pick the best route that the doggo will be ok on. I don't fancy Llanberis as it's the most crowded and visually not as pleasing. PYG and Miners looks class. Just praying for clear weather next week.
@@JonnyLeeguitarist The weather didn't let us reach the summit, unfortunately. But we went there by Pyg track and back by miners. The views are stunning! Your advice really helped. Thanks.
@@archertam that’s a shame mate , I’m back there next week and hopefully we’ll summit . Hopefully you’ll get up there at some point . Thanks for watching.
I've just done llanberris as my first walk, would you say summit steps are the most demanding part? Looking to do the pyg track next time. Thanks for a great video 👍
@@JonnyLeeguitarist thank you so much, this will help us out as we were deciding where to park. Very simple and effective video of the climb, thank you.
@@JonnyLeeguitarist will do - thanks for the useful video. As soon as you said hard on the legs, I was like...ah that will be an issue for me. I get a lot of knee pain and always when coming down. So got some walking poles and knee pads this time. Going extra prepared!
@@JonnyLeeguitarist Thanks mate. I know that one is quite a long route. Which route would you recommend for someone who wants to reach the summit four times in one day for a charity fundraiser?

That’s awesome determination! . Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
Are there any scary edge tracks this way? Because I'm really not good at all with any sort of drop,,at all
No , there’s no edge tracks on this route .
Thank you, Jonny, for taking me out to PYG Track with this great music that you made. Cheers from Ukraine!
Thanks for watching

Wow what an awesome clip . Apart from being useful is also very beautiful

Excellent video.

Thanks for posting. Going there in a few weeks, like to look at the different paths to see what each one is like (or which one is easiest 😂🙈)
The llanberis path is the easiest one . . Thanks for watching 😉. Good luck and have a great time .
Loved watching this Jon, and the music was great too!
Thanks Jen !
Very cool video. And I love the music! Well done 😎
Thanks brother
PYG track. Do you know why it is called that? A clue with the second letters of the 3 words in the name. Pe Y Gw. Only 4 letters missing.
Honestly I have no idea
Music is great on this video 👍
Thanks mate . I appreciate that 🙏
I've just done llanberris as my first walk, would you say summit steps are the most demanding part? Looking to do the pyg track next time. Thanks for a great video 👍
Yes after doing the main climb, the summit steps are pretty intense. Have a great time and let me know how it goes . Thanks for watching.
Great video. What time did you set out from the car park? Thanks.
I think it was about 7.30am
Wonderful video, a quick question if you take the Pyg track up and take the Miners track down do they lead to the same car park ? many thanks.
Yes both lead to the same car park . Miners track is just lower on the mountain .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist thank you so much, this will help us out as we were deciding where to park. Very simple and effective video of the climb, thank you.
@@tariqhawa267 thanks for watching. Let me know how you get on .
Did this yesterday and Miners’ Path isn’t as well-defined in some parts as Pyg is
Whats your input on the 3 peak challange? What routes would you take?
There’s so many different options on the 3 peaks , it’s best to google info or look for it here on RUclips .
Is there a better route which isn’t so hard on the legs? I thought Pyg Track was the easier option 😬
Yes the llanberis path is the easier route .
@@JonnyLeeguitarist thank you, I am going to be visiting again shortly so might give it a try. 👍🏻

How long did it take you to get to the view of the lakes?
About an hour up mate
Hi did you park at the PYG car park? And following the minster track back was the car park easy to find ? Tia
You can pre book a space online , better than taking a chance on there being one when you turn up .
Would you recoment this track for begginers. Thinking of doing the lib pass but it just looks a bit plain.
Yeah you could do this track.. take your time and you’ll be fine .

What is the quickest and easiest route mate?
Llanberris path mate . Dead easy that one

Definitely that one , the rest will be way too hard .
