Abner, I couldn’t agree more about carrying a bigger gun. I’ve been telling people that for 20 years. There’s a time and a place for something smaller but 99% of the time bigger is better.
One of the reasons I went with a Staccato CS for CC was a heavier trigger pull. I don't like carrying a gun down the front of my pants with a 2.5lb trigger pull like the XC.
I want to challenge that .7” high at 25yds. The ballistics are absolutely solid. Plug it in to any ballistics calculator for standard pressure 9mm and that’s what you’ll get. But it’s important to note that your gun may be different. I went to Scott’s class and did horribly during the 25yd portion. I trusted the process and assumed it was me. It wasn’t. My Glock 19 shot POA/POI at 10yds but shot almost 4.5” high at 25yds. I shot it over and over when I got back home. I consistently scored 95plus on the 10 round qual by holding in the center of the 8 ring! Definitely trust in your instructor and trust the process in these classes. But sometimes when the feeling is overwhelming, you need to listen to yourself.
Yep, I've found the same thing. That is why I held so low at 25 yards. Try it at 100 yards and watch what happens.
“More gun is more better”. I couldn’t agree more. For my EDC I went from a Glock 19 (an okay gun) to a Canik Elite Combat (4 and 3/4 inch barrel, 18 rounds) a better gun in my opinion. To now a Walther Full size PDP 5 inch barrel. An AWESOME gun in my opinion. I have that big bulky bastard in my Tier 1 Concealed Axis Elite on my belt stuffed down the front of my britches every day. I have the Holosun SCS for the PDP currently on it. Although I have had very good luck with it and shoot well with it, I!d like a little bigger window. Not too big. I’m trying to decide between either a 508T or an EPS.
He's talking about lifting weights to people who only lift beer cans? 😁
Dang!
I personally use a 15yd zero
