- Do you know nothing about color mixing? Maybe you know the basics but you are still not getting the results you expect. This video will outline some very simple principles in 20 minutes to help you understand exactly what to expect from your colors.
I’ve watched at least 40 color mixing videos and none of them mentioned that the direction of the primaries on the color wheel will significantly effect their vibrancy when mixing. That is such valuable information. Thank you so much
This was a fantastic lesson in colour mixing! Simple and to the point! Thank you for taking the time to spell it out. 💙
This was fantastic. I haven't done this since highschool and that was AGES ago. Even with my basic of primary, secondary, etc...the blending wasn't something I remembered. Thank you!
I need to do this with my colors. Thank you
I thought I knew enough about colour mixing. Wow was I wrong. Thank you so much for that easy to follow instructions

So, you would then suggest a basic "kit" to be the two blues you mentioned, the two reds, and the two yellows...and also a black and a white?
I would suggest a basic kit of a warm and cool of each of the primary colors. If I could add any other colors I would add Payne’s Grey, Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna in that order. These later neutral times will help expand your mixing options. I rarely use black (I use Payne’s grey instead) and almost never use white.
