Father Gregory is a mystic in ovo masquerading as a carnival barker. Father Bonaventure is on his way as well. His rhapsody towards the end is amazing. Embodied. He’s inventing a vocabulary for mystical experience.
To piggyback off Father Paschaventure. The other day I was thinking about when our Lord asks the Pharisees, “whose inscription is written therein?” And I was thinking about our Lord’s name carved into our hearts. The literal translation into Polish would be rzeźbić, which is gentle. For example carving something out of wood. A better word is wyryte which roughly translated means engrave. But that’s also too gentle. Wyryte means you’ve done violence to the object and yourself in order to permanently etch something, whether that’s on a tree, or in the ground or on another object. And if you’re a native speaker, this has so much more impact because the word also carries emotion. Thank you fathers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

In the 70's Church we lost all Truth and Beauty
This identification of traditional architecture with God, and modern architecture with man is crude in the extreme. Verging on stupid.
Right. These two brilliant men say "stupid" things. Look to yourself.
