    FYI. Black women don't wear weave because we NEED to, we wear it because we like it, just as any other accessory. Please stop with the ignorance if you don't know or understand a culture. The Kardashians wear wigs, I'm sure they don't NEED to, they just like the way it looks. I have a friend, a black friend, that has long thick hair down her back. I asked her why does age wear weave and she said it was because it was fun, easier to manage, and she likes the way it looks. Just like makeup, plastic surgery, false lashes and any other enhancements, weave is worn because we love it and it makes us feel more beautiful, just like the other enhancements I mentioned. Anyway, thanks for the video. I'm so happy I watched and learned how to make baby hair. I've been trying to figure it out for a while!

    My mother developed alopecia in her 20s & it was not the result of any hair practices. Alopecia/ thin edges are common in our family. From the hairline to crown, her hair is very sparse. Alopecia/thin edges are common in our family. She also wears lace frontals. I'm sorry if ppl have made rude/ugly comments on your page. Ppl don't realize that some conditions/illnesses cause hair loss & cannot be reversed by natural remedies. Not everything works for everyone.

    Just know the people coming for you are trying to mask their own insecurities. No one confident, doing well in life, or overall happy with themselves period would take time out of their day to try and breakdown someone else. You are amazing, beautiful, and talented. Don't let these insecure nobodies discourage you. I applaud you for being strong enough to share how you corrected what you perceived as a flaw and shared it with others who many struggle with the same thing. Though you've received so many negative comments, and emails I'm certain that you have reached and impacted so many others positively and that's what REALLY matters. Kudos to you and congratulations on your overall success.

      @goodgirlkay 8 лет назад +1

      It isn't necessarily trying to break her down...to express sadness in seeing so many black women who need to wear fake hair and are ashamed of their natural hair texture. Do you see how bald the front of her hairline is? If she was taking care of her natural hair it would not be like that. How can black women claim to be confident in their looks when they have to put false hair on their head to feel beautiful?

    • @goodgirlkay
      @goodgirlkay 8 лет назад +1

      Liber8tedOne3 She is literally balding in the front because of weave, yet she keeps doing it. If that doesn't prove that she hates her natural hair...what will?

    • @user-pz2dq6qt3y
      @user-pz2dq6qt3y 8 лет назад +3

      +kay jay tru,tru, people should look after their hair.. But wigs can also be a protective hairstyle. Some people I know have used hair extensions for protective styling, rather than to 'hide their hair'. Also, some people just like wigs.. But I get what you mean.

    You did an amazing job!!! I am proud of you (as if I know you) for posting this video because it will help someone. I am my wife's personal hair stylist and have been since her hair started falling out from all of the heat, braiding, weaving, etc. One product that I HIGHLY recommend is Wild Growth Hair Oil! It works wonders on your edges. I used it for my wife and it's amazing. I am not a professional. I do own a salon but I am far from a cosmetologist. Just leaving a compliment and sharing what has worked from my experience.

This was my second time trying this method I'm still working on it though. So many people asked me about my first one i did so I'm like... Hell why not show them. They didn't believe I didn't glue my frontal down lol the finish look is in this video ruclips.net/video/02tRhKrKQmg/видео.html even in that video its not as flat as the first one because my braids are big underneath😩 but thanks for watching 😬

    No one reads description boxes anymore lol. My only suggestions would be what I've already seen: biotin, castor oil, satin/lace, giving your edges a break. I stopped using gel and don't use edge control at the moment. I just tie my edges down with a scarf. Keep doing what makes you happy, and its good that you are open to feedback/suggestions. Thank you for sharing. :) and good luck on your hair journey! :D it's a struggle, I know child lol. It's a struggle for me too. (And I'm actually too young to know what pump it up is lol). Or at least I think I am.

      Lol girl yes people don't read the description bar but thanks for reading it love😘 Thanks for your advice I appreciate it and pump it up is a holding spray like spritz. Best thing I've discovered for edges is watering them like a plant. I spritz mine with a water n conditioner mix (i like the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie the best) every couple days, a light oil and then tie them down and they actually lay better with NO edge control products. Plus u can feel the moisture. Edges break a lot from being dry.

    Wow I liked the video right after watching it. Not sure what bothered anyone so much that they became nasty with you. So sorry😔 I thought it was great and insightful advice. I'm trying to protect my edges and do not want them exposed when I wear a lace front. Everyone says you have to expose your hair, no way. I know it looks crazy but I don't care lol! I want to protect my edges because wigs especially lace will test them up! This video is perfect and I am certainly going to put it to use. All others can swerve. It's not that serious y'all. Go girl!

    I'm no expert on wigs at all, in fact never worn one. But after watching your video, I think I will give it a try as I can't stand weaves anymore, way too painful. I appreciate your honesty and reading the info....I FEEL YOU. I been there so I can empathize with you on that. Some people just have to be disrespectful for no reason to either make themselves feel better or for attention, either way, its wack.
    Keep doing you and good job.

    oh my gosh it's youtube ppl are going to leave negative comments no matter if it's good bad ugly pretty risque whatever. people want to be in the spotlight and put themselves out there but can't take any heat. the more views you have the worse it will get, and long paragraphs wont make it go away. better get used to it.

    • @alireyistheboss
      @alireyistheboss 9 лет назад

      ***** as you can see from her disclaimer courtney, she stated 'before all the negative comments start' which is an indication that she believed there's a possibility to stop the negative comments. As i mentioned 'it's youtube,' but if this connotation is too vague of a response for you, then my apologies. the implication behind this statement is that there is no regulation process as far as the comments are concerned. Perhaps i could have provided a more viable option to her, which would be to disable comments for videos if negativity that is not monitored or regulated is too insufferable. so my initial comment was less of a critique and more of a suggestion to get some thick skin, as I'm sure you now realize.

      +Diana Dickson Not sure if someone answered your question...Lace frontal covers the front section of your hair up to about 3-5inches across your head - therefore the back isnt lace. A Full lace wig has lace al over so you can part the hair any where you like.

    Thank you so much for this video. I too have thinning edges / no edges so I really appreciate this video so much and I think you're amazing and brave for being real and upfront.
    I used to not be comfortable w my edges but I've come to realize it's not my fault that my edges are thinning or non existent and I know I'm beautiful regardless.

    Is the hair you are cutting with the razor the wig hair or your own? Also, when you are tweezing the hair on the front line, is that pulling them out to break up the line? Loved this! I have been wearing wigs for cosmetic reasons to change up my look ...just graduated from Cosmetology School. Thanks so much for sharing your tips. Hi from Canada! XO

      +Charlion Patrice try Msm supplements it you want to thicken your hairline...go to Amazon. com to read reviews on it. I personally use this to thicken my hair out and I noticed its growing my eyebrows and hairline too, I also use hair skin and nails in conjunction with this. hope this helps you (I read your disclaimer)😜

    Mixing either pure peppermint oil, or Rosemary oil with black Jamaican oil grew my edges back and my hair after I did my big chop in February! Real talk this method with a once a week greenhouse affect truly works dolls😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. If using peppermint try not to get it in the eyes, burns baby burns!!!!

    I love this! Thank you so much, this helped me amazingly. I have a really big blonde wig since i have purple hair right now, and i'm trying to look more "natural" for a wedding im going to. so the wig needs maintenance like this. Now I am not afraid to mess with the edges since they're so fake and straight. Off to modify my wig! Thanks so much!
