The bigger coins were stamped just after we moved from Pounds Shillings and Pence to Decimal currency. We still had the pound note till even that was made in to a coin in the old or decimal. 240 pennies made one pound. Our coins changed over the years. In old money we had a Farthing a half penny a penny a sixpence a shilling an have crown a ten shilling note and a pound note. A five pound note and a ten pound note and the biggest note was a twenty. After we changed to decimal. We still had a one new pence two new pence. Five new pence. Ten news pence. Twenty new pence and fifty. New pence then last coin was a one pound new pence. Today we new also have a Two new pound coin. Our notes were a Five new pound. Ten new pound a twenty new pound and a fifty new pound note. I hope this helps with your collection.

Live in the UK and seeing these coins are used to get 50p which is the one in the middle as pocket money I used to think I was rich being a kid but you have a £.10 piece a £.50 piece and 5p You want to have a look to see if some of those years were in circulation if not some of them might be rare have a look you know what they say curiosity killed the cat and cat got killed

Those old 5p coins used to pass for 5 deutschmark coins in German vending machines. I used plenty of them in machines when i worked there in the late 1990's. 😂😂😂
I'm from the uk and afraid to say not worth more then face value ( unless you find some one that needs it for a collection) there are millions struck to find rare coins from the uk the mintage will have to be less then 1 million struck.
I have bad news for you: the £1 coin is a counterfeit. The giveaway is the engraved writing on the side - very badly done, obviously someone's "handiwork". I read two articles by a British blogger on the pound coin counterfeiting problem. Apparently, it's pretty rampant on this golden colored version, which is why they switched to the current bimetallic 1 quid. The fake old £1 coins are so prevalent that there are different versions with various years, patterns, side engravings, etc. But real or fake, these are now all just memorabilia as they are no long legal tender in the UK.
Doris, I have just checked your One Pound coin with the one that I have in my collection, and it's called the Flax One pound coin. And the inscription on edge is Decus ET Tutamen. The same as yours however, your coin edge is very worn down thus making it harder to read. Hope this helps? Regards.

50 pence i have rate how much
These are all decimal coins. Pre-decimal were £. s. d. All of the coins were then reduced in size hence the difference. £1 changed in design also.

Did you notice that the 5p is half the weight of the 10p? (This works for both the 'large' and 'small' (current) versions).
What is the possible values of these coins?at present
what's the value of a 1866 large 1/2 penny and a 1944 large penny UK.
The prickly leaves on that coin, are the Scottish Thistle. as is the flower, not Christmassy Holly as you guessed.
