Hi there .. welcome to Singapore!! In fact if you are looking for food. It was right there right at your first scene - Golden Mile area. There is the Golden Mile Food Centre at the right side ... with ATMs there. Very reasonably priced and nice local food there. Very famous for its Chicken rice at B1, Hokkien Mee at B1, Yong Tau Fu at B1, Fried Bananas at B1, Fried Kway Teow at L1. And opposite the Food Centre there is a Coffeeshop (at the carpark area) that sells one of the best Nasi Briyani in Singapore.
When u come to Sg on a show string budget, do not despair. There’s plenty of hawker centres and budget / capsule hotels where u can enjoy great cheap food & accommodation.
We have found a lot of cheap alternatives and really enjoyed our time so far, we would love to show others how to travel Singapore even if they don't have a big budget :)
We didn’t know what to expect. Thank you for showing us around 😊 great video we got some inspiration from you 😊 we have liked and subbed x Chelsea and Mike
There are many rental bikes around. You can rent, cycle and park. Help you to get around faster. If you are lost on direction, just ask anyone on the street. Most will be glad to help you.
Thank You for visiting Singapore. Nice to see you guys enjoying your stay here. Hope you guys try our local food at the hawker centres for cheap food options. Thanks for the positive comments too. Hope to watch more videos from you guys. Cheers !!!
Welcome to Singapore 🇸🇬 Your cheapest and bona fide local food are found in our Hawker or Food Centres (safest street food). Eg Tekka Market & Food Centre (near little India); Maxwell Road Food Centre, Chinatown Market & Food Centre, etc
4:18 that is a very sharp building like a blade. I cannot remember the details but a neighbouring construction design later took this into account to counter it's sharpness according to Fengshui. I think it was Suntec City
Thank you for a lovely video and very very positive for myself and wife . We have been looking at Singapore for next year and looking at your video it’s massively helped . There looks a lot to do and enjoy and I’m now subscribed to follow your journey. Lovely couple and I wish you well 👍
Singapore 🇸🇬 is not your typical South East Asia city that you have visited i.e. Thailand🇹🇭, Philippines 🇵🇭, Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Vietnam 🇻🇳, Cambodia 🇰🇭, Myanmar 🇲🇲 or even Brunei 🇧🇳. A combination of Modern Architecture surrounded by old British 🇬🇧 colonial buildings with lush foliage on the skyscrapers. Very westernized and contemporary yet still preserve the old rustic looks of old village settings. The price of accommodation and food tends to be on the pricey side if you dine on a mostly touristy flank. Go to hawker centers for cheaper options in Singapore 🇸🇬. There is plenty of it here and to approximate is beyond comparison. Hope you relish the adventure of staying here in Singapore 🇸🇬.
Eh.... I can't believe you missed the Helix Bridge. The route you took to walk to the Marina Bay Sands is the less happening route. You should have walked on the other side (the right side) of the bridge, which is where the Helix Bridge is. And if you use the Helix Bridge route to walk back to your hostel/hotel, you would have seen it in its glorious time, with all the lights on. What's more, walking on the Helix Bridge at night, you get a very good view of the Nightscape of the city skyline.
I had bad and scary experience at Changi airport terminal4 last Saturday 13 May 2023. Immigration held me up over two hours before issuing visa. Gave no reasons. I was travelling on British passport, it should not taken more then ten minutes. I am very unhappy about this which spoiled my Singapore visit. This behaviour a sure way to loose tourists!
Thanks for watching the video! 5 more episodes to come in our Singapore Series :)

Wow thank you very much, great recommendations :)
Oh wow 🥰 let's begin Singapore series 😇🤩
We had such a good time! Hope you liked the video :)
Beautiful nature nice hiking, perfect unwind.
The building at Beach Rd that appears card thin is designed by IM Pei using his magic 45 deg cut so that at an angle it’s very thin.
It was a very unique building, never seen something like that before!!
It seems like you have not heard of Gardens by the Bay - the 2 domes you were pointing at. That's where you have the Supertrees and light show.
Yes we go in our next video! We had a lot of fun, didn't realise it looked like that from the other side :)

Hey you missed the Helix bridge ? That is actually a landmark by itself. A pedestrian bridge connected to Marina Bay Sands.
I think we walked over it, maybe in another video, thanks for watching :)

@@jaimeeandaidan You came from KL by coach so you missed The No.1 Airport in the world.
That is okay because we will leave by airport to our next country - we made sure not to miss it!! :)
@@jaimeeandaidan You can spend an entire day at the airport. So much to see, do and eat .

It was very interesting we had never seen a building like it before!
@@jaimeeandaidan This Suntec city also has an interesting design. It is like the hands of a Buddha supporting a water fountain

That sharp edge office building is called The Gateway and it is designed by the famous architect I.M.Pei
@@jaimeeandaidan That building is a twin office tower blocks called Gateway East and Gateway West. I think they have been around for like 30+ years.
Welcome to Singapore! If you have time, you might like to check out Bird Paradise which just opened. :)
Wow it looks great, thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the comment! We did actually walk on the Helix Bridge at night, didn't show up on camera :( It was beautiful though :)
@@jaimeeandaidan Glad you didn't miss it. Enjoy your time in Singapore
In fact I almost rarely walk that not so happening bridge.
You missed Gardens By The Bay?
We visited Gardens By The Bay in a different episode of our Singapore Series :)
I understand you’re on a budget, but why would you draw money from an atm. Those conversion rates are scary! Haha 😂
Thanks for saying . I'm perplexed by expensive food choice vs. cheap authentic local food.
It was on the way home and it looked tasty!! We try a lot more local food in our other videos which will come out soon :)
With our travel cards the conversion rates are almost 0 - we couldn't survive without them. Thanks for watching :)
have a McSpicy for meals. You will be full from the milk.
Got milk meh? Meal you mean?
@@SuccessforLifester they will go to the nearest 7-11 to buy milk

Oh No! That sounds like a bad experience we would not like that :(
You do not need a visa to enter Singapore when you have a British passport
