Ohhhh! What a beautiful story and song. And thank you for your delicious performance too. It makes me go back with my imagination.. and that’s always good.
Hi Pamen, So nice to hear from you, I am happy this song touched you, I thought it might! I learned of a young Spanish musician recently and was very impressed by her and thought you might like her work. Her name is Rita Payés. She was born in Vilassar de Mar. Here is a link to one of her performances, Thanks, Carl. ruclips.net/video/C8wpfQ5pdfo/видео.html.
Hi Daryl, Nice to hear from you and thanks for your beautiful comment. It means a lot to me coming from a fellow player who knows how much work goes into making music! Best Regards, Carl.
I like your Channel. The Stories, the choice of Songs and the Performance.👍 The Song is called in German: Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt.
Danke, Mein Herr! Good to hear from you again. I really appreciate your heartfelt comment. Yes, I saw the German title when I was doing research on the song. I even considered saying it in my introduction, but then thought most of my audience wouldn't care. I took 2 years of German in college and learned to pronounce it pretty good! Thanks again, Carl.
Hi. Yes, it's on my list and a favorite of mine and you are correct about the composers. Thanks for suggestion, I'll bring it closer to the top of my list! Best Regards, Carl.
Thanks for your nice comment. I do have one Elvis song on my channel that I posted in June 2021, "Are You Lonesome Tonight" and am thinking of doing another sometime soon. I've been a fan of his ever since I first heard his songs in the Mid 50's!
another great rendition, i'm a big fan of your channel :) if you don't mind, is there anywhere in particular you find the tabs/chords/notation for these songs, or do you learn them by ear?
Hi Tom, Thanks for your comment and for being a fan. Unfortunately, I don’t have any Tabs, Chords, or Notation, because I would be glad to share those if I did. I used to look at sheet music, fake books, etc, but that was many years ago. I have always played mostly by ear. When I want to learn a song that I am not totally familiar with, I will listen to 4 or 5 different recordings by the best Jazz (and sometimes Pop) players and singers and just gather up all the ideas I like and then add my own ideas. Then I sit with the song and play it repeatedly, listening for opportunities for Bass Lines, Chord Lines, Melody Lines, Harmony Lines and Connecting Lines, etc. until I am satisfied with the combined result, but I don’t write anything down, except for the lyrics. This process may take several days. Sorry for the long answer, Best Regards, Carl.
@@carlr.distefano7928 Hi Carl, Apologies for the delayed response. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you taking the time to explain your process in depth, it means a lot to a beginner guitarist such as myself. Thank you again, and all the best, Tom

I'd love to hear you do a version of Angel Eyes by Earl Brent/Matt Dennis, I believe.
