    Dear Dr.John Campbell, thank you so very much for your daily world updates. I especially appreciate your evidence-based research reporting. You are calm and compassionate and respectfully apolitical. A breath of fresh air during these troubled times. Thank you. I have been watching since December 2019. I am so thankful for you. I am sending love and hugs from Washington state, USA, Jeanne of In Loving Hands Counseling and ASMR.

    Dearest Dr. Campbell, My husband and I watch you every day and totally trust your updates. This is quite a compliment when it seems all our leaders seem to either not know - or not tell us - what is actually going on. You are so knowledgeable and have such a charming personality, it makes learning about such a pandemic actually comforting for someone like myself as I am prone to depression and anxiety attacks. You are so gifted, loved and admired by so many, including me. Thank you for also presenting the photos that have been submitted to you as it makes me feel - in this isolated time - that I have a large group of family members watching with me. May God bless you richly , sir, for your compassion and knowledge!!

    Dr. Campbell, (time stamp 22:25) please know that you are doing a great service to those of us who did not major in biology or are medically trained. I greatly appreciated your explanations of the medical/biological terminology. By “dumbing it down” there is a much better understanding of the human anatomy and the virus and what the virus is doing. Excellent teaching skills! I have learned more biology/microbiology over the last 3 months than in my all my adult lifetime. Thank you for all that you do. When one tells a child to eat their vegetables because they are good for them, it is possible to make that argument relatable so the child grows up “UNDERSTANDING” the importance not just “knowing” its importance “because I said so!”

    • @peterreynolds613
      @peterreynolds613 4 года назад +1

      HI I think its due to a copper deficiency. A chronic copper deficiency caused by the disease. This causes a systemic down regulation of anti-inflammatories SOD and BDH and an up regulation of pro-inflammatories associated with copper deficiency - this will also control iron mediated oxygen regulation
      At the same time a depletion of lysyl Oxidases mediated repair of elastin (via fibulin 5.) in the blood vessels with copper depletion. the virus attacks the copper mediated immune system. In adults who have a greater copper deficiency - the virus can home in on the lungs and blood vessels immediately but in children the effect is to erode the whole system defended by copper enzymes.
      This virus first evolved in Hubei around a copper smelter - so it learned these tricks.

      That makes you breaking the law, your kid is supposed to get an education (at least till they are 18 y. old). "leerplicht"
      I oppose this (back to school) from the point of vieuw that children may not get sick a lot, but they DO spread the virus just like adults (they found it in kids excrement for weeks after they got infected).
      So we are releasing small typhoid Mary's everywhere.... we might as well lift this lock-down for everyone!
      Remember: they did not pull kids out of school to protect the children, it was to stop the productive adults (parents) infecting each other and by dying making the economy suffer longterm..
      We can always make more kids/ the overpopulation of this planet proves that. Trained workers are far harder to replace.

He was given iv immunoglobulin and recovered with no negative effects. But he was monitored for a year with echocardiograms and weekly then monthly blood tests. At the time his pediatrician said it was neither viral or bacterial and "they" didn't know what caused it. There were some commonalities among those affected, but not all. Afterward an infectious disease dr at a teaching hospital was beginning to do testing on recovered children, but logistically, we couldn't participate.

      Kawasaki disease is an illness that causes inflammation (swelling and redness) in blood vessels throughout the body. It happens in three phases, and a lasting fever usually is the first sign. The condition most often affects kids younger than 5 years old.

He seemed to improve and then went down hill suddenly, culminating in a rash which didn't pass the tumbler test, meningitis was suspected and he was put into isolation... it was decided it wasn't meningitis thankfully, but I think even then they suspected covid-19. He had, at differing points pretty much all of the symptoms of covid and/or this syndrome, when asked if we had been in contact with anyone who had been either abroad or via a third party, we said no, we later found out that we had actually, we just didn't know it at the time!

    @Dr John Campbell
    There was a report o BBC a few weeks ago regarding children from Dr Bharat Pankania University of Exeter Medical School. He spoke about children saying that their immune system was going into mass overdrive and causing problems. Not sure if this is something that there is a paper written on yet but it was a brief BBC report a few weeks ago so no doubt easy enough for you to find.

    Emailed my MP yesterday on your Vitamin D update . Please read content of response.There have been several bits of research that point to vitamin D helping. In one the researchers also found a strong correlation between low vitamin D levels and the cytokine storm response, a hyper-inflammatory condition caused by an overactive immune system, seen among some coronavirus patients. In another a correlation has been seen between those who survive covid 19 and those with better vitamin D levels.
    The good news is we are learning more about the disease and how to fight it.

    Damn I hate this virus. 😡
    I, and everyone I know, are on vitamin D suplements. That, and social isolation, is the best we can do, at the moment, I guess. I'm one of the many people left unemployed due to this crisis, though fortunately, living in Finland, I have access to a decent social safety net. I've been paying my dues to a private unemployment fund too, but due to the huge surge in applications, there's a delay before I start getting payments. I'm just happy I have some savings so I'm not in trouble. At the moment I'm living on those savings, until I start getting my unemployment benefits. (I'll get paid for the time it took for them to handle the application as well, of course.)
    My sister has a two year old girl, that I care a lot about, and this covid related syndrome in kids is really scary to me.

    Thank you so much for going through this syndrome.
    My nephew got very sick early this year and was in ICU for weeks. They had a really hard time deciding what it was. They decided on septic shock and toxic shock syndrome. He already has immune issues and gets ivig on a semi regular basis. I REALLY feel like this is what he had. They couldn't figure out where he got what he got that caused this so they blamed it on a scratch. Scratches from animals can cause issues with kids with his issues, but this was extreme in my opinion. He's 12 years old and was at Boston children's hospital. He's doing well now and wears the masks I made him everywhere he goes but we still all worry. I'm hopeful they will look at previous cases and not just current cases.
    I've worried about him with this COVID19 to begin with because of his conditions already.
    Thank you again. Mrs Bubbles from Virginia.

    Good morning Dr. Campbell, Thank-you for your videos...I watch everyday. My daughter presented with a similar disease some years ago called Henoch Schonlein Purpura. It is an inflammatory disease of the capillaries. It is quite rare and her kidneys were affected. It was a terrible time. I am very sorry to see this happening in children. I was told that my daughter had some virus or other occurrence six weeks earlier which triggered this autoimmune response. She was treated with steroids for four months and the awful symptoms cleared. It appears that some people can have life long problems or relapses and some can be fine afterwards.

I feel people should be aware of this and maybe it will help them make better decisions that will improve our current situation. Everyone should be using cloth masks, reporting symptoms on a daily basis on their mobile phones, be willing to cooperate in random testing and donating plasma. What are your thoughts on these?

    This is some kind of Frankenstein virus! Can you imagine daycares opening and this going around! I'm a daycare teacher 20+ year and I really hope they don't open till they have a grip on this.

    • @johnbai4715
      @johnbai4715 4 года назад +2

      Nope. Can't imagine it. Because the evidence suggests it's a near impossibility.
      Don't know why you'd advocate for keeping schools and daycares closed based on ZERO EVIDENCE.
      I can't stand you ppl.
      You're worse than the virus.

    • @johnbai4715
      @johnbai4715 4 года назад +1

      Also, they will never have a grip on this.
      It was designed that way.
      Literally more than half the deaths from this are "presumed" with no evidence.
      This connection to Kawasaki is "presumed" with no evidence.
      But yeah, let's keep the world shut down so domestic violence, drug addiction and mental health decay can run rampant.
      You people need to read more, write less.

      School districts might be able to get away with opening high schools this fall.
      But I would be very cautious before opening up nursery schools, kindergartens, elementary schools, and middle schools.

    Dear Dr Campbell, I'm Valentina Pelaez from Bogotá Colombia(I'm an architect, from a doctors family). Your videos are a very good source of proper information! Thank you! I have one question! Why are so many people carrying the covid-19 without showing any symptoms? Have scientists some explanations? Is someone doing at least blood tests to see why? There could be a lot of answers!!!

    It might be seen in a minority of children right now, but what about the future? As it appears to be a delayed reaction I predict many more cases will become apparent into the future.

      The virus has been here since November/December
      Exactly how "delayed" is it?
      This is fearmongering. The Kawasaki cases are below the 20 year average.
      There's no correlation to Covid.
      Wishful thinking for lefties, nothing more.

    So glad you did this video thank you. Imagine how many parents have been keeping children at home with these symptoms due to fear of covid in medical settings....sone may have gotten better by themselves and therefore not reported on. Others may have died especially in households of neglect without family and teachers keeping an eye. We need excess death on this too.

    ?? Don’t most viral infection have lingering and varying possibilities of: syndromes, chronic issues and damage that sometimes don’t show up for quite awhile? I wonder how many lifetime after effects never are connected to past viral infection!?!

      Some human Coronaviruses (colds) have been indicated as possible risk factors in meningitis in young children, with a chance that the meningococcus find an easier path due to the infection. Hpv , Hiv ,syphilis are already among the risk factors in many type of cancer. I've been diagnosed with hodgkin lynphoma in 2015 , currently on 4 years remission, my Lynphonodus were swollen and Doctors tested me for almost every current or past infection on first hospitalization , but thank god i was at least free from those (they explained that lot of people get recovered and they often have hiv and lymphoma/cancer caused from it. When i asked them why was i sick , if it was to my moderate drinking/smoking (4 cigs per day) or else , they said that my blood/organs showed no signs of any damage due to that ( and in that case the lesion would have probably be the cause of my disease ) and so the only factor risk they found, except living in a crowded/polluted city , was that i had mononucleosis antibodies indicating a previous infection. i had also little tbc antibodies reactivity but that was probably due to vaccination. mononucleosis is supposed to hit around 80/90% of young population but i guess in a real minority of cases it can be the startup of cancer evil company.

      Michele Remember with Chickenpox there is shingles later in life. And vitamin D has a critical role in diminishing the onset. So lifelong Vitamin D3 therapy is essential!

    I practice medicine in NYC & the numbers you're quoting like "100 in US" are very low, & must just refer to kids currently on ECMO (life support). We have about 2 dozen "post infection syndrome" kids in my hospital alone, but they're not all in the ICU. We're communicating with colleagues at London hospitals who see the same condition amongst pediatric patients. Please be advised that the syndrome is quite visible & alarming in fair children who present with bright red eyes, lips, tongue & rash. However, it's harder to notice (& therefore diagnosis can be delayed) in different ethnicities, particularly in kids with dark skin & eyes. Please monitor your children closely, & if they're dark, have them open their eyes & mouth wide & be sure to examine the tongue
