Maison Cailler Chocolate Museum, Broc |Switzerland Tour with SOTC | May 2019

This videos is all about our tour of Cailler Cocolate Museum. On May 11, 2019, day 3 of our 7 day tour of Switzerland with SOTC we were taken to Rhine Falls and Bern, after that we visited Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory at Broc. Cailler is said to be Switzerland’s oldest chocolate brand which is still in existence, it is 200 years old. We were taken on a tour of the chocolate museum, the story of chocolates was narrated step by step, starting with the role chocolate played during the time of the ancient Aztecs to the present day, in a unique audio-visual presentation. The tour of the Cailler Chocolate Museum was extremely engaging, informative, entertaining and memorable; and of course it was also a chocolaty, in the true sense.
The tour of Cailler Chocolate museum ended with tasting the product. Variety of chocolates as well various types of nuts used in certain chocolate varieties were available for tasting. There was no restriction on how much one could eat.
Later after tasting one could buy chocolates as you will see in the above video, the varieties were endless, I would call it a chocolate supermarket.
Cailler also had a cafeteria, here as expected chocolate played the dominant role. Various kinds of chocolaty items were served here.
It was worth visiting Cailler Chocolate museum. We were charged CHF 16 per person for the tour.
