I’m also pumping for my babies and definitely cried when you touched on that. I had no idea how hard exclusively pumping would be, physically and emotionally. You’re doing great and we are warriors. Twin moms are just built different 🤪

You and Jonathan have really shown you’re doing your best for them and in moments of struggle, remind yourself that nothing lasts forever, not the good or the bad! So take in all the baby cuddles you can and remember that these difficulties from the early stages will eventually dissipate!! They are both the sweetest little bundles! I'll tell you what, I have breastfed 2 of my kids and currently EBF my 3rd baby. And it has been so easy and convenient to just whip out a boob.. you don't have to pack anything or worry about it at all. Moms who exclusively pump are absolute Rockstars. Pump the milk, store it, freeze it, make bottles, clean bottles just to ensure they are getting that milk is unbelievable. You should be extremely proud of yourself for working so hard to exclusively pump for TWINS. Amazing.

Thank you for being raw and real about newborn life. My little boy is 3 weeks old and nights are very hard. I keep reminding myself he’s only this little today and I will miss these moments even the fussy 3 am inconsolable cries. Tomorrow is a new day like you said the sun is out the birds are chirping and it’s going to be a good day! I can’t imagine doing it with twins. Bringing my guy outside is also very calming to him and puts him to sleep. Thank god for summer babies and then opportunity to take advantage of this beautiful east coast weather
You are doing incredible mama! Nursing is pumping; you are taking care of yourself and your family, creating sacred and intentional time. As my great grand mother used to say - The mother is the heart of the family, her intuition says it all, and she will listen and do what is best for her family. Sending lots of love your way and thank you for sharing your life with us, it truly is so beautifully real and down to earth at the same time.
My daughter stopped swaddles pretty quick with our twin girls…they liked to sleep with one hand on head or face and the swaddle didn’t actually help them sleep longer…up until 4 months they slept in pack and play together in the family room with tv and all the lights and commotion 😂 she fed them every 3 hours all day and at night they went 4-6 hours…they always woke the other up to feed at same time and BTW she exclusively pumped for 11 months and then used up her stash until the switched to whole milk

My daughter is having fraternal boy/girl twins. I’m 68 and she wants me to keep them when she goes back to work. I’m 😩 nervous but day care is to expensive for twins. Either I keep them or she’s not going to be able to go back to work. I’m Christian and a lung cancer survivor so I just pray I’ll be able to do this for her. ✝️❤️

You are right about the fact that if you are a pumping Mama you are actually doing so much more work than feeding directly from the breast. I have done both and all the extra work with the bottles and pump parts makes it next level! I had to come to terms with that fact myself and I felt so much guilt but when I saw how happy my daughter was because her belly was full and she was finally thriving I realized it didn’t matter how the milk made it to her belly. My second baby was full term and I was much less anxious and stressed and she was able nurse directly from the breast. Fed is best and you are an absolute champion. Thank you for helping all the other Mamas out there by sharing your journey with them. Both you and your husband are adorable and of course your daughters are absolutely beautiful.

Okay, I found your channel not too many weeks before you gave birth to your twins and we just had our first baby girl the last week of July. I am also exclusively pumping and I also really struggled with that choice but after two weeks of exclusive breastfeeding, my mental health felt like it was going down the drain. I truly just needed relief and to be able to hand her to someone else to feed so that I could take time to myself to shower/reflect/drink coffee/nap.. it was difficult to find much support for pumping mamas. It’s such hard work bht it’s what is working best for us! Thank you for sharing!!

Fellow (new england) twin mom with 1 year old twins and just want to say you guys are crushing twin life! The first 3 months are the hardest with their sleep being so up and down between adjusting and going through leaps but it gets easier I promise! Love your videos, and your girls are so sweet! Formula feed and forget breastfeeding they will both sleep and get on a schedule sooner. Babies usually cry when they are hungry, sick or have a dirty diaper so if they aren’t settled maybe your milk isn’t enough for them and they need formula.

I have identical twin granddaughters who are 4 years now. I took care of my daughter-in-law while she was bed ridden, and then helped with the girls and their two boys while they were young, and now my daughter-in-law is battling very severe Aplastic Anemia and PNH (both bone marrow failures). Girls daddy (my son) is a Veterinarian, and the kids keep me young. Its pure chaos, but wouldn’t change it other than pray their mom gets well.

Girl you need to be proud of yourself, pumping is SO much harder than nursing on the breast. The sterilising, the time, the emotional impact. I’m doing both (nursing and pumping) and Pumping for one baby is really hard work let alone two!

I would love to be an exclusive pumping mum but I don't produce enough. Any tips on how to do so ?
I can understand your struggle with pumping instead of breastfeeding. I could breastfeed my firstborn for more than six month, but with my twins I almost couldn't breastfeed at all. I had to take medicine to increase my milk and pump after feeding to make sure that my milk won't get less and less. And even with that, they had to get formula since it wasn't enough for them. After three month I had to stop breastfeeding and since then they had formula only. Till now I'm sad that I couldn't breastfeed like I did with my firstborn, but they are very healthy and cute babies. So I hope you can be a proud mama, there are a lot of things you can't change and it's already wonderful that your body is able to feed two babies. Be strong!

P.S.: My midwife told me, that if the bottle is empty, that the baby might still be hungry. If there is still some milk left in the bottle and the baby stops drinking, than the baby is definitely full. And babies with full stomachs are sleeping longer ;)

I’m 64 (ouch), lol, I was never a wine drinker. But I was just wondering if there’s any rules or suggestions about drinking wine while you’re nursing? I seriously have no idea. Lol

hi Angela!! so I’ll preface my response by saying every mama can decide what’s best for them but for me I’m comfortable having one glass of wine while nursing! if I ever was to drink more than that I would pump and dump :)

You can drink as much as the legal driving limit (different here in the UK) without it transferring to baby. Breastfeeding Mum of a 4 month old and Jeez one is hard enough we need the tiny pleasures 😅
Thank you Scarlett B. Like I said I never was a wine drinker so I had no idea. My best friend tells me I need one glass at night. It relaxes her and she sleeps better. Lol. I’m all for better sleeping (look at me telling a Mother of newborn twins about needing better sleep! Lol).
