I love that you commented on the photographer/videographer coming a little later so the ladies could truly relax. I never thought of that and I was a little bummed we wouldn't have them first thing in the morning, to be honest! But that makes so much sense and I'm really glad you mentioned it. Thank you!
To have that mindset of not getting upset over what you can’t control on the day is the best way to go. If I ever God willing get married that’s how I want to handle things. Getting pissed off at the little things spoils the day and is just pointless. As you said easier said, but 100% how I would want to do things.
Absolutely 🤍🤍 best way to truly enjoy the ~best day of your life~ is to let go of the need for control + just enjoy it all as it comes. it always happens exactly how it’s suppose to! I’m happy you already adopted that mindset even before your big day (that will surely come!!)
Can contest that you were the most relaxed bride ever and I was IMPRESSSEDDDD, most perfect day and it was because you we’re fully enjoying every moment of your day 🤍

of course! playlist linked below 🤍🤍 + i gave gifts to my bridal party - I gave them floral robes to get ready in, rattan clutch with their first initial, a cosmetic bag w their three initials, gold earrings from madewell, + I wrote them each a letter. I gave my mother and MIL bracelets with Jonathan and I’s handwriting on them 🤍 I also gave my father a tie w a photo of us when I was little embroidered on the inside ☺️ hope that’s helpful!

hi!! always happy to help out! the blue dress is from pepper mayo + the white dress is from show me your mumu (it’s actually a full length gown that I wore for our 2020 covid wedding + then had it hemmed!)
I have been married forever and people today still say that they had the best time at my wedding….
And I know how that happened…
It was the DJ! He didn’t just stay behind his table and play music… He had a cordless mic and was working the dance floor and the room…. He was dancing and he got people up there… he incorporated these fun little nerdy things that got everybody involved who normally don’t dance. I feel bad for people at a wedding who are not comfortable dancing so they sit at a table for hours. It has got to be so boring. We all know it’s sometimes it’s hard to talk because the music is so loud ……
Me and my family are dancers, at weddings we always say the dinner is too long…
We finish our dinner within a half hour yet we’re all still sitting at the tables…. What I didn’t know in advance was that the DJ also has a dinner break when we are having dinner. What annoyed me was the DJ spends an hour setting up… then he works the four hour reception, not the cocktail hour just the reception….That is a 5 hour workday. Do you need a dinner hour for a five hour shift? No you don’t…. We had to wait for the DJ to come back to get the dancing started again….
Anyway hiring a DJ that will MC your reception really makes the party… that’s what made it so much fun. And those people who were not dancing were entertained by all of the shenanigans on the dance floor….
You want a good wedding… It’s the food and the music… if one of those are bad it will ruin your wedding…
Tell your DJ before your wedding… If the dance floor is empty change the genre of music… these things need to be discussed before hiring your DJ… because they could make or break your party…
Absolutely!! I’ll eventual be posting our full wedding video and you can see the dance floor wasn’t clear at any point in the night, our DJ was awesome! It absolutely can make or break the event 💃🏻

Super overwhelmed 2024 bride here and I have tears in my eyes listening to your last point. I'm so overwhelmed with making decisions, feeling expectations and that many of the options given to me are crazy overpriced.
I just want to marry my Fiancee and have a beautiful day with him and our families.
I'm finding the process a lot at times. I'm afraid that we are going to regret spending this money or people's expectations of what we should be spending.
you’re not alone in how you’re feeling, wedding planning has so many highs and lows but you’re going to get through it 🤍 just try to focus on what you know in your gut is most important to you and your partner.. and don’t regret anything the day of!! just enjoy 🫶🏼

What was it like having two maid of honors? How did you ask them? How did you split the roles? I can’t decide between my cousin and future sister-in-law / best friend.
I absolutely loved it, sometimes the MOH role can be a lot so I think they appreciated leaning on each other so that’s a good angle to take! I asked them both together and made it special by writing a handwritten note to each
