This guy can have his own cooking show.
I’ll allow it
Its so funny you say that, im on a munchies spree and its cool how every single video every single cook/chef/Street food vendor is just so easy to watch.
I guess its the love of the trade giving that impression, partly
Nah Americans don't like seeing Asian men in the media (unless they're getting beaten up, or they're gay)
I'd watch that.
He can't cause china owns him and his shit content
This guy is great! Lovable personality and the food looks delicious
Why don t u marry him then
@@erikL794 Ok I will.
@@erikL794 ey yo
Asian men are hard workers, and not thugs. They will do whatever it takes to provide for you and your kids.
Him and Lucas Shen are really affable. This is my first viewing of this chef and he’s already entertaining. Not to cast aspersions, there are some hosts, the ones that are eye candy, aren’t as enjoyable. Forget her name but she has the impossibly small cosmetically enhanced nose.
I’ve ordered from them and I can tell you that this is the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted in my life
where is this place located?
@@JJ-mh3hb Pecking House is on 274 Hall St Brooklyn NY
Just ordered it and ate the 3 piece meal in one sitting, by myself. Best chicken ever.
@@jtc1285 with it for $40?
@@JJ-mh3hb yeah, total was about $50 with delivery/tip
I went here yesterday and my life has forever been changed. A 3 1/2 hour window of non stop orders and chicken flying out the window. I hope this place stays for good, and I wish it all the success in the world.
What is the name of the restaurant?
@@HT-ed2wv “pecking house” 0:23
went last week, and think it’s probably the best chicken i’ve ever had
What do they serve? I mean, what’s the featured dish?
@@100mphFastball chicken lol. right now they're inside another restaurant so they have a limited menu
I love how this Chef explains things, very down to earth and still covers all the technical aspects, he obviously has a great resume and it shows in how well he understands every step of the process and can explain it so well. The chicken looks delicious, I hope to try it in the future.
Had to give this a like just out of the sheer madness this guy did of tasting straight up chilli powder.
Yes! A Chef NOT afraid to share MSG is in it! Yummy Umami!😋
Yeah I hate that the health industry demonized MSG despite it being healthy to eat. Just because your chips and cup soup says it has MSG does mean that is to blame, it is probably the other unpronounced names that make it unhealthy lol
@@izzydarkhart4144 yeah dihydrogen monoxide is in everything nowadays
This guy is a genius, what an incredible dish. Gonna put his restaurant on my hit list for when I'm back in NY. Love from London
What's a no brained chicken spot in UK?
Morley’s
Eric is a cooking wizard. Looks incredible!
What a cheerful chap, and the dish looks like a treat.
Wishing him the best of luck with the restaurant venture. I'm sure he will succeed.
A refreshing mix of technical and approachable instructions with some lovely anecdotes thrown in. Looks absolutely delicious! Wishing Peking House all the success, which it sounds like they’ve just about achieved already.
Fear Mongering about MSG hits hard, My family is totally convinced still that it's literally poison
MSG is a great ingredient - I am always disappointed when restaurants don't use it
This comment is Uncle Roger approved.
Glad the stigma is going away.
This guy has a good energy about him.
Oh man this looks so good 😍 can’t beat fried chicken 😍
I literally lost at it him trying the seasoning and saying it needs more sugar in the middle dying from spice. Such a wonderful personality!
Dude, Eric's chicken is phenomenal.
Man I know this is so random but my mom recently found out about my weed channel where i smoke weed for a living & now i be thinking about quitting or deleting my stuff now😩😩
@@SevenHunnid yeah that's pretty damn random bro :/ RIP
"Viral Chinese" really?🤣😂
Great humble, friendly, educated, and fun personality. I want to try his food and support his business so much the next time I’m in nyc. This is true passion, none of the fake bs
Eric seems like such a nice dude, I just want him to win at everything!
I love this guy and hope we see more of him on Munchies. Anyone else getting Matt Damon vibes?
This looks so good
This guy has such a likeable personality and just that confidence. He's generous to reveal his receipe he ain't afraid people copy him, this guy will be succesful for sure
Hey brother, stop givng away all your business secrets! Great looking chicken, by the way. Best wishes.
You can watch bruce lee all day and you will never kick like him
@@baconwithoutfat But imitations are always undersold & that's what draws business away from you.
Also, by giving away secrets, people quickly learn & improve & overtake you. You've lost your competitive edge. You HAVE to keep moving to remain competitive.
@@GFINHK have you ever consider with that narrow mindset that its actually taking success away? Just look at the eric guy. I can bet that him sharing his recipe and showing how genuine he is, is making him way more money and popularity than if he just kept to himself like everyone else.
I could listen to Chef Huang talk about cooking all day. Great video and great host.
i visited last week (from Texas) and it was so damn good that it made me sad that i wouldn’t be able to have it again. it got to the point that i damn near reached out on IG to ask for the recipe but thought that would be rude. and then i see this. hallelujah
The chicken amazing and I want to travel to NY just to try it. This guy though... Eric needs his own RUclips channel!! #Legend
Bring this guy back for some more videos!! Great recipe, personality, delivery and hope to see more soon 💪🏼
🔥I can here the crater like crunch here in Asia 🍗
Pretty chill chef, I dig this guy
Love this guy, food looks amazing too
Great recipe and Eric is such a good host.. need more of him, he's a natural.. seems a nice bloke too!
This guy needs his own channel, better then most youtuber chefs that have been around for years 😅
This guy has a chill vibe. And the chicken looks amazing.
🤦🏿♂️ ONLY 29K LIKES FROM OVER A MILLION VIEWS?!?! C’MON EVERYONE, HE JUST GAVE US HIS SECRET SAUCE AND TAUGHT HIS SECRET FRYING TECHNIQUE FOR THE FREESKIIIIII!! HIT THAT THUBS UP FOLKS 🙏🏿
This looks bloody marvellous! Flying to New York just to eat Chef Eric’s chicken! 🙌🏻❤️🌶❤️🔥🤩
I can tell this guy is old school Chinese cooking cuz he doesn’t measure anything 😂
This is what is great about America. Mixing great parts of different cultures that creates something worth more than the sum of its parts.
No its not
^^ watch out, we have a badass over here 😆😆
that chicken looks f*cking amazing.
The super close up of Chef Huang chewing and turning up the volume so loud so you could hear him inhaling while sucking in the food was definitely necessary.
Its nice to hear from talented but humble chefs, rather than pretentious celebrity chefs claiming they create art that should be worshipped
He used to be a sous chef for Eleven Madison Park. Talented doesn’t even cover it.
truly !
the humility is a huge breath of fresh air, would very much love a home style plate by this guys grandmother
Looks delicious and sooo cool that he gives the recipe. Next time I’m in NY I am 100% going there.
"crispy is the front of your teeth, crunchy is the back of your teeth" i never thought of it that way lmao
I love this!! Eric is so fun to watch!! And this chicken looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
Viral, huh? Poor choice of words for Chinese chicken, all things considered.
eric's great. this chicken is bonkers. must try.
this guy is a f****** legend. no crap, just a genuine straight-up human being, much respect. get him in more videos!
Insert Homer drool noise here. That looks amazing!
@erichuang please do more videos!
Love love love your chicken and charming, positive vibes, and your commitment to nurturing Asian / American cuisine!
You’re hilarious! Looks like perfection…
Wow, that looks great!

There is love in this food. Looks amazing. Wishing you much success.
Great personality love this dude
this was the best god damn fried chicken I've ever had, a must try when in nyc
Love him simply because he is diligent enough to remove all jewelry when preparing food
This dude needs his own show asap!
Now THAT'S how you know someone is a TRUE CHEF!!!
Tasting that spice mix is clearly killing him! But he has to make sure the ratio is right; The Flavor. IS. Critical.
Nothing but respect for him.
Fantastic recipe and what a great video. This guy is very knowledgeable, cool and passionate. I’d love to visit the Pecking House when I’m next in NY
What a fun guy! Need more of him for sure.
Sometimes it's just one of those days when you feel the need to look back and smile at all of those embarrassing, childish, silly moments that just so happened to define who you are
Great charisma. Definitely going there when I'm in the area
Thank you Chef Eric. As a lover of jerk chicken I can't wait to try it's Asian-American cousin. Sincerely appreciate the details and advice given. Please come back again and educate us some more. Thank you #Munchies for finding the best chefs who carve their own path in this world.
did he scoop out the mustard with his hand?
"And we're going to make the chilli paste, with which the chicken is brushed" - this is, at least in the UK, a normal way to say that sentence. I thought I was going crazy, thinking I've just been speaking like Yoda or something my entire life!
That chicken looks life changing.
Love his reaction to eating the final product. "oh hey, its pretty good!" like he forgot what his food tasted like.
Love how he slightly mumbled and trailed off for "one part MSG..." 😅😅
I know man I had to rewind it!
Need a whole plate of this asap
i love this, the chinese american takeout wing is my favorite adaptation dish and this is a great take on that
Listening to that crunch when he bit into the chix 😋😋😋. That looks delicious!

Literally has a chicken in 10 pieces first minute of the video lmao
🥰Hello my Dear Friend...I saw your Notification and had to stop by to show some support. Blessings to you. V. 🥰
@Tahir 🤣
Dude I’m so sorry i keep laughing when you have to taste it or when you’re suffering through the process but the end result is fucking awesome!!!
The emotional story followed by “duck fat” lol They’re just living it up
I love this man's vibe! Great to watch him work!
That looks AWESOME!! 🙏🏆
In Melbourne, Australia, we had a tradition about 11 years ago. When you got accepted into university/Tafe after highscool, most of the institutes would be in the city, and as a new phase in life, you'd have to visit this restaurant called "crazy wings", situated around the universities. And I'll tell ya what, the first time we did it, we all bought jugs of milk and told our lecturers we made a dire mistake and it wasn't the elcrazy hot chicken wings 😂
probably one of the first times I've seen someone has straight up called out the fearmongering of msg. Prior, I've seen ppl explain it's not that big a deal and actually helps food, but this dude was straight up lol
Awesome video! Side note: "..with which the chicken is brushed.." is actually perfectly correct grammar.
Mmm MSG. Uncle Roger would be proud!
He even balanced it out with sugar fuiyoooh!
This guy is awesome. The chicken looks pretty good too.
Food network better pick him up and give him a show his chicken look's great.
Love this guy.
Eric is the fkn man
Never been to the Big Apple but it's on my list for this year .. and Eric's place in Brooklyn is on my NYC list .. Thanks Eric, looks delicious! .. Definitely, Will have to give it a go .. Yummy!
I wish he would talk a little more clearly. Some ingredients he says isn’t very clear. It would be better if they could write it down on the screen.
I’d like to see more recipes from this dude
Anyone who thinks the drumstick takes the longest to cook.. has not been cooking chicken very long.
I loved how he whispered “1 part of MSG” when exposing the recipe. It’s cool bro, we Americans eat worse lol
“People were terrified of us”…..mark 4:25…… that’s so sad.😔
Love this guy
always add coriander powder in almost every chicken, thats what my mom told me
interesting, deff will try to make this!!!!
Hi Eric, you mentioned that the recipe would be in a link below but I can't seem to find the link. Thanks for helping out and thanks for the video.
who titled this video? yo i wouldn't put the word viral on anything food related
"Viral chinese" lol, I thought this was done to death in 2020 lmao
Love from Nepal ❤️🇳🇵
