    Dude- you are crazy with this cluster series! From seeing your videos I decided that I dont want those clusters. No one on RUclips is talking about these issues, everyone is like "Woow digital cluster in my old BMW...Etc..). Your no BS videos, with deep dive in those AliExpress clusters is an eye-opener. Now I am curious about CIC/CCC replacemaent headunits with CarPlay, I am still thinking about those (How it will work with OEM functions and logic7 audio).
    P.S. : Nice to see Doggo! :)

      @@MOvidiuDon’t bother about android crap, they are booting terribly long. Go with Linux screen instead.

    Amazing bud, I was thinking on building a custom one for the E39, I have a 540i 96' which I completely restored and now turning into a bit is reatomod adapting it to fit my taste on a few things, I have 3 clusters around, and was thinking on doing something in the middle, removing the speedo, and rpm dashes and using digital screens in replacement, getting me a hybrid cluster, I was digging on how to approach it for a long time, still in doubt of what works be the best, I was convinced qt fast boot wear the answer at the beginning but I'm re evaluating now

    You can buy a y splitter fiber optic cable for "car audi" specifically made for bmw that should be relatively easy to resolve the issue you had with the fiber optics

      I was wrongly expressing when I sayed Y splice. More correct is T Splice, and you can not find something like that .

    Isn't it better to use the picked sensor for getting the thermistor specs, and then just buy an off the shelf thermistor with the same specs for a few dollars?

    Hi Ovidiu, I need your help. I have BMW ISTA D and for some reason I am not able to write information to the DME. I tried to change the injector values after installing a new injector and I was not able to. The error message I get is “NOT OK” against cylinder 2. I tried registering a battery and it was not possible but I can read and reset fault codes without any errors. Very strange but with your expertise, I am confident you may be able to help me. How can I get in touch with you? Thanks

      Hello! You can not write the injector because that injector is not for that engine !

      @@MOvidiu Hi Ovidiu, Many thanks for getting back to me. I managed to fix the issue….HOORAY! I probably didn’t explain the issue well. Essentially, I replaced a faulty leaking injector and had to code the new injector values to cylinder 2. I tried coding the new injector values with the engine running instead of having the ignition on without the engine running. My bad…I have successfully coded the new injector values to the DME with ignition on (not engine running) and reset adaption values as per BMW ISTA instructions. All is good now and car is running smoothly without any misfires! Thank you so much for all the quality informative videos as it enables us to confidently work on our BMWs.

    Why don’t you just bu y the most Y splitter from mr12volt instead? Made for what you’re looking for! Quit the donor kombi idea, too expensive, or you can bu y an optic splitter and some couplings from amazon for the same price as mr12volt.. Also, I think you will need to run a wire and place the temp sensor outside otherwise the climate control will not function correctly. In my comprehension, the extra sensor inside the dash is connected to the main kombi, which will send the information to the car.. since it’s inside the dash, after parking under the sun the temp will quickly be more than 50c* and after you run the ac, the sensor will go under 16c* as it is almost touching the ac vent tube!! Think about it!!

      Thanks for stressing out and help! But mr12volt doesn't have a Y splice more correctly. T splice . I've searched for something, but the only thing closer is an audio optic splitter, but that also will need modifications . About a donor cluster, even if I'll buy one, I won't pay too much! But even so, I think it will be a good investment considering that you'll learn new cool stuff 😎 .
