OMG Jennifer WOW Your cards are all so beautiful, precious and heart warming. I so enjoyed your video you had my attention 1000% didn't want to miss a beat. You truly did come up again with so many outstanding clever and creative ideas for stenciling, inking and embossing.....I truly love that Misti tool...and thanks for leaving your blooper in it just magnified the Misti Tools awesomeness. Love too how you did each card placement a little different and your envelope stamping idea is fab & fun. WOW I am in awe of what you did....boy oh boy.....what fun it was to watch you in creative action... Thanks for all of your tips, tricks and techniques they are all outstanding. Your video made my day. YOU so ROCK!! Joan Smith
Boy i tell ya, the craft Gods gave you double portion. You are awesome! You are a teacher at heart - your patience, attention to details, and foresight at the what the viewer will likely ask during a tut. God bless and thanks for sharing.
Seeing all those lovely "SUNSHINE" cards --- really brightens my day...this is SUCH a great tip for me, as I am HORRIBLE with Masking and "fussy cutting" ! WHY, I never thought of this before...is beyond me....and not to mention the "poor" memory, since I have see it done before! Super Super cute cards --- I also think "encouragement cards" are very kind and thoughtful! Hugs...and thanks again for these wonderful ideas!
WOW, Jennifer ! All the cards are beautiful, thank you for sharing so many great ideas ! I would really love to see more of these videos, where you should how to use a number set of supplies, and be able to create so many different cards. THANK YOU !!
Hi Jennifer! They are such beautiful cards and it's so sweet of you to think of your friends by sending them encouragement. As always, this was such a wonderful video, full of techniques and inspiration. Thank you so much, Take care, Kim :)
Oh Jennifer, I love your comment...."Hot Mess"! It just tickles me pink! Super use of the die and thank you so much for showing us how to mask with rubber cement. I tried the Fineline Masking Liquid and yes, I too had one very "hot mess". I sent it back to Amazon. Loved these cards and what a super idea to do more than one at a time and with such wonderful encouraging messages.
Dear Jen, Each time I watch your latest, I think "Now THAT'S my favorite." LOL You would think I would know that the next one you come out with will no doubt replace my current favorite. But seriously you blow my flip flops off (we don't wear socks in Hawai'i). Love you always, and love Kristina, too. Keep 'em coming!!!! You both make my days.
Oh my, these cards are beautiful and I love the sentiments! I sure would love to receive one so I'm sure they're loved by those who are recipients of the ones you send. Thanks to your videos, I learned about the MISTI and finally have mine. It is wonderful and I might not have known about it if you had not enlightened me. Thanks so much for all you do, I certainly admire your work and learn so much from your videos. I also appreciate your sense of family values and obvious faith.
Your cards are fabulous. That would brighten my day receiving one of these cards. How you made your mask for the cards is totally brilliant. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and for just being you.
You rock, Jennifer. I look forward to your videos so much....I am so thankful for people like you who are willing to pass on the knowledge to the newbies, like me. :) Your videos (and cards) never fail to amaze me. Much love and God bless. Xo
Wonderful masking technique! Quick tip: a tool called a "rubber cement pickup" will make quick work of taking off the mask (works great on painter's latex masking fluid also). It is a flat, 2" square of dense, nubbly rubber that is used like an eraser to pick up the rubber cement. It is very inexpensive and will save your fingertips.
I was just thinking, those suns need shimmer and then you added it in the next step. Cute idea and I do love the new SSS encouragement stamps! I know some people who have had surgeries and long recoveries. Get well stamps don't seem to fit those situations, so I'm excited to try them out.
This is exciting as I just received my misti yesterday. I love the stencil idea. I had already purchased the rubber cement and have the swiffer and stencil. Thank you!
I love your videos, they are so easy to watch & listen to while I'm learning new techniques. I just started scrapbooking but am getting super interested in making cards. I really appreciate you for posting these videos!!
Thank you, useful info regarding rubber cement masking. It's a big time saver for intricate things. I didn't know it would peel off so easily. you are the Card Guru.
I really LOVE this idea....and can't wait to try it,,,,I just always have this problem,,,I want to do exactly what you did,,,which is impossible most of the time,,,I wish you would do another video just like this, with a whole other set of stamps and stencils so I could see how to make the idea go from product to product,,,hope that makes sense! Thanks for sharing your talents!!!
Way beautiful, as usual. Another fun mask, use your dot matrix tape runner. when you ink over it, you get a reverse dot design! Always remember the ink under the mask, & on top of a mask, must be very dry, or it also makes a hot mess! thanks for all your great classes.
I am new to stamping if you could do a short video on the best ways to keep stamps clean and store? Thank You I love you teaching style it's the best on RUclips.
Stunning cards Jennifer, love them. I so wish I could find some liquid masking medium that does t contain latex (I'm allergic) but I don't think they exist. I love how easy it looks to use though :)
Hi Jennifer! This is a great video and I love the look of the finished card. I just wanted to warn that rubber cement fumes are very toxic, especially around small children. I actually heard about someone having dizzy effects from storing it in a drawer in her desk. Just fyi!
Love the cards Jennifer they are beautiful! I hate the fact that we need these types of encouragement cards and sentiments but at least we have them when we need them. I was wondering though when you put on the rubber cement, do you have to make sure the ink is completely dry first? I know that it takes a while for distress inks to dry so I didn't know if that presented a problem with interfering with the rubber cement or if would smear? Thanks Jennifer :)
Thank you @Debra Spinks!! I have trying to figure out what that rubber cement "eraser" was called. Found them in a local art store for less than $2. Awesome!
Love the masking technique. I would like to know if you keep the foam applicator or do you wash it? In other words, how is it cleaned up? Thanks. Love ALL you do.
Hi Jennifer, I just want to ask you, what is the size of the cards that you are using because I'm keep on trying to get the best card size for my card.
+Nurul Huda Hussain Most DIY cards (especially in the U.S.) are size A2, which is 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. To get two cards this size, you take 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper and cut it in half, either lengthwise or shortwise. The panel that Jennifer stamped on, was then likely trimmed a bit to lay on top of the A2 sized colored card base. By trimming the focal panel down a bit (usually a 1/4 inch on each side), you get a layered effect and can see the colored cardstock underneath, which gives it a lovely effect and also helps to "pop" the focal point. Hard to explain but I hope this helps. Also, try Googling "popular" card sizes to get a full explanation and visuals of different sizes of cards, but I can tell you that the A2 size card is the most widely-used size of card. Here in Canada, the most popular size of card is a 5" by 7" but because 14 inch sheets of paper are not readily available or have near the variety of colors, this is why A2 size is popular because you can get two cards per sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 inch. Happy crafting!
This advice is for you if you buy your envelopes. I cut out my card from card stock or cover stock. I make my card size just slightly smaller than whatever ready made envelopes I have hanging around. I hope this info helps you to decide what is the right size for the cards that you make. It is easier to match both if you start with the envelope than if you start by making a card.
Hi Jennifer! I am new to card making and have been watching so many of your old videos. I was sad to see this stamp set is no longer available. Do you know any current sentiments that have similar sayings. This one was perfect for being an academic advisor at a Christian institution. I am always sending my advisee cards.
Hi Jennifer! I'm sold on the Misti and I want to buy it. It looks like the "new" ones for sale are turned long ways ... top to bottom opening ... where as the one you use looks like it opens side to side. Is this true? I sure want on just like the one you have.
The MISTI orientation hasn't changed, it may just be how the photo is cropped and oriented on the website. The hinges are still on the "long" side like the one Jennifer uses.
I use Simon says stamps, versamark ink and that same powder tool but I always get embossing powder sticking all over my cards. Any tips? I think it might be the embossing powder I use
This doesn't have anything to do with today's video but from some past ones. I have a warning about the fine line bottles. I got some and poured liquid glass is mine and it was working great, I was so excited to not have to deal with clogs. Well today I went to open it up and the pin part had glued to the inside of the spout. I tried and tried to pull it out and it finally broke out of the top of the lid and when it did there is kind of a hook on the end that holds it in the top of the lid and it cut my thumb when it finally broke loose. It did not feel good at all, cut it pretty deep. I'm not completely giving up on it yet though. The bottles come two to a pack and I'm gonna try again but if it keeps gluing itself together then that sucks. They are made to put glue in so I'm not sure what to think. Ideas anyone??? It's a big waste of money if they don't last longer than that, I'd only been using it a couple of weeks.
Oh my goodness Jennifer. Does your mind EVER REST? I LOVE your ideas! Your videos are always packed with great tips. Your cards are amazing and I wait every day for what's coming next from you. Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous ideas.

I am always amazed that there is still something new to learn, like rubber cement as a mask! Genius Jennifer!

The cards are beautiful, and your directions are straight forward and easy to understand. I believe you are my favorite presenter on youtube. Thanks
Kathy234Jane thanks!
What a wonderful card gift set these would make. Great example of the MISTI saving the day when embossing powders misbehave.
Boy i tell ya, the craft Gods gave you double portion. You are awesome! You are a teacher at heart - your patience, attention to details, and foresight at the what the viewer will likely ask during a tut. God bless and thanks for sharing.

This is a super tip. It would definitely make more use of my stencils... Thanks a bunch.
I love your cards and it's always an inspiration for me ..thanx a lot
Very cool! I will definitely have to give the rubber cement a try as it seems a better bargain than the expensive masking fluids.
I love the envelope idea, I'll have to try that technique.
What a great video, thank you for the tips and your cards are "beautiful".
I am new to stamping if you could do a short video on the best ways to keep stamps clean and store? Thank You I love you teaching style it's the best on RUclips.
I love your tutorial and learned a lot from it. Thank you for posting.
Awesome. Jennifer I have a lot of metal stencils. Have you ever used them? If so a tutorial on metal stencils would be great. Thank you
Thank you ! Love this technique do have stencils so makes me want to take them out and create.
U are a genius! I would love to get inside your head for just 1day to see all the creations u have roaming around in there!
Stunning cards Jennifer, love them. I so wish I could find some liquid masking medium that does t contain latex (I'm allergic) but I don't think they exist. I love how easy it looks to use though :)
Can you wear non-latex gloves to take off the cement?
They do exist! Im also allergic, the pebeo liquid masking gum for kids is blue & latex free, works great & not expensive
Hi Jennifer! This is a great video and I love the look of the finished card. I just wanted to warn that rubber cement fumes are very toxic, especially around small children. I actually heard about someone having dizzy effects from storing it in a drawer in her desk. Just fyi!
I LOVE-LOVE my MISTI!!! Ohhh my!! It is awesome!!! -and btw-love this tutorial!!
Thanks for your amazing video, always love your tips TFS

Beau DeLeon i didn't have any problems with it. you could heat set to be sure.
Thank you @Debra Spinks!! I have trying to figure out what that rubber cement "eraser" was called. Found them in a local art store for less than $2. Awesome!
I have seen a paper callled Palissade Transfer paper that can be removed without rubbing, it can help yu a lot in your projects
What a great idea to make the cloud stencil! You always have such great ideas where do you get them from???
love this idea! Love your beautiful cards as usual! ;)
Love this! Any idea when the grid paper and magnets will be back in stock at SSS?
Love this technique! What kind of card stock did you use?
Love your card jenn:-)
Love the masking technique. I would like to know if you keep the foam applicator or do you wash it? In other words, how is it cleaned up? Thanks. Love ALL you do.
+Maria Fernandez i haven't tried to clean. just pitched. but they are inexpensive and i dont' do this technique often
+Jennifer McGuire Ink Thank you. Going to try this very soon.
So pretty.
Lovely cards, who makes the anti static tool? TFS
Great idea!
Love this!
Can you clean the foam piece when you are finished? Or is it toast? 😮
Rubber cement is easier to remove if you use an eraser. Just be careful as you can rip the paper if the paper is saturated with inks or watercolors.
Ok. You got me. I was at Walmart after seeing your video. Had to buy rubber cement while there. Love your cards.

amazon has no misty stamping tool. I cant find them anywhere. where do you suggest?
Does the rubber cement ruin the mini blending tool?
Tori Bissell i just use the foam once. they are inexpensive.
I'm inspired.
oh my goodness.......who knew!!!
I use Simon says stamps, versamark ink and that same powder tool but I always get embossing powder sticking all over my cards. Any tips? I think it might be the embossing powder I use
