FREERIDE LIVES at Mont du Lac Resort in Superior, WI

Our first time at Mont du Lac! Was pre-riding for most of this and was my better half's second time ever at a DH specific place. She rode everything she tried to and only had one little whoopsie.
Huge shout out to @higherbasemedia for the great time and all his guidance as we learned the tracks. Was a ton of fun meeting Wyatt and learning more about this unique zone. He also RIPS and I am 99.9999% sure he was going little kid speeds for us, which was really kind of him. When he did let loose a few times he basically teleported ahead of me on the trail haha.
We also met up with @kendallwelch after we were able to track him down on the hill and got some awesome rips down Bigfoot with him. Which is an amazingly fun and unique trail.
This place is freaking awesome and I can't believe it's taken me this long to check it out. Some of the best freeride style DH tracks I've ever seen are here. Wicked good steeps and loamers, it's like Battle Creek's freeride lines on steroids. Proof you don't need machine built perfection to have a rad time.
The resort itself was great as well. Suites, RV camping, tent camping, water access, full swimming area, disc golf course, both an XC mtb loop (apparently in need of love) and devoted DH mtb lines with a shuttle service to the top, old guy golf, and more. It's honestly rad and will def be coming back. We just did a day trip, but could see this being a really fun place to bring family/friends for a weekend or something.

It was a great day indeed! The Mrs. And I were both on our e-bikes for this day. Spectral:on (heavily modified) and a rossignol mandate shift 🤙 love my eeb so much
