As a 76 year old male I am now wary of even holding the door open for a younger female, leave alone speaking to them. As a nation we seem to be losing the ability for social communications. Nowadays complementing a woman seems to class you as a pervert. I grew up in the 50s/60s when good manners were normal. Were did we go wrong? I am beginning to feel like an alien in my own country.
