This song was wrote by Carole King and Carole give her song to Aretha before Carole made her own version on her ''Tapestry'' album few years later. This song was a top 10 hit for Aretha in 1967. This song (the original singer of the song) was one of her most iconic for ''Aretha''.
Céline Dion made her own version of this song in 1995 when they make a tribute of the ''Tapestry'' album. She later included on the international pressing of the ''Falling into You''.

The United States seems to take that title for granted.
In the United Kingdom it has quite another meaning. There they address The Queen as Your Majesty.
Majesty, Majestic. That is the manor with which I would describe Aretha's live performance.
All of us; her loyal fans, know that she is The Queen (of Soul).

Carol King did indeed write the music. But as with all songs in those days, the lyrics were written by her husband Gerry Goffin. Yes her husband wrote the lyrics to Natural Woman. Now how about that?
