Thank you so much! There is hardly anything available to help learn. I have a much lived and long disused dan tranh that I am trying to learn. I am a harpist and pianist by trade but play a lot of instruments because I'm fascinated by music and can't learn enough. This is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard. Please make more videos! Thank you.
I loved Ep1!!! Thanks for coming back. Looks like you painted your room! Is there anything you can tell us about the Dan Mo? ( I'm not sure if I am spelling right) Percussion instrument with jackfruit gourds? Thank You!
please make more of these! my mom has a dan tranh from so many years ago when she used to play at a music academy in saigon. i am trying to learn how to play the instrument but dont have a lot of resources to learn available to me in the united states!
thank u sm for the video! side note your dan tranh is sooo pretty i love the mother of pearl inlay! are there any brands that make good dan tranh or do you go to a specific instrument maker? its so hard to find information about that.....
Hi. Thanks for your comments! I'm so glad you like the video. In fact there are dan tranh makers who have their own brands. It's sort of the brand of the shop. I buy mine at a specific shop I know in Saigon, and each time I have to test every single dan tranh to choose the right sound I like. You're right, it's very hard to find info about the dan tranh and dan tranh makers, and one has to go to Vietnam to find a good one. However, I know of a website that imports and sells dan tranhs in the US (if that's where you live): www.soundofasia.com/ Hope it was helpful!
@@tringuyenmusic888hey my sister is actually in saigon for a few days in october! could you maybe tell me the name of the shop or the address that would be so helpful!!!
@@ghettochuchu Hi, here's the address and name of the shop: maps.app.goo.gl/TLHuFfoGWVengHSL6 Hope your sister will find a good one (let me know if the link opens correctly here). Cheers :)
