Those bombs were no joke. Well, they wouldn't have been if they had gone off. It was estimated that had they gone off, they would have caused the library above, at least I think the library was above the cafeteria, to come crashing down on top of the cafeteria, which would have killed hundreds. Fortunately, the bombs were so poorly made that there was virtually no danger of them exploding.

@@ThunderFist1978 At the time of the shooting; the library of Columbine High School was above the cafeteria. It's that long arc of green glass windows overlooking the senior student parking lot. After the shooting; the library was torn out, turning the cafeteria into a two-story atrium. In 2001, a new library was built on the west side of the school; aptly called the H.O.P.E Columbine Memorial Library. H.O.P.E being an acronym for the organization Healing Of People Everywhere.

Lucky Paperclip They were rigged to explode at a certain time, so no, they weren’t to be detonated remotely. Fortunately, Eric was not a good bomb builder. The only bomb they made that did go off, other than the pipe bombs they threw inside the school, was the one they had set in a field to divert emergency services while they were killing people. That bomb caused a small fire, but that was it.
