Laura, if you haven't toured the Iseli display garden at their headquarters in Oregon, you definitely should....amazing, something you'll never forget. Also, join the Conifer Society, they're all about miniature, dwarf and the many different colors and interests they provide. We call ourselves the original cone heads. Since many are grafted from witches broom, you'll also gain more knowledge about care and have access to specialty cultivars from various suppliers around the world. Look up "The Blues" spruce and grow it like an arch over a high trellis as you would a climbing rose.

When you get loads like that, do you order the plants so you know what's coming, or does the company pick out what gets sent? I'm a vegetable gardener at heart, so I love your crop updates too.

So glad to see you talk about running 1/4" tubing to individual plants. I'm building up my garden and I really don't want to run a bunch of 1/2" drip to so many places where there are no plants. I was considering doing what you did, and now I have confirmation that it will work. THANKS!

One day, a few decades away. Someone will do a documentary about Laura and Garden Answer. Their current home will be a museum and these properties and gardens will be toured and tour guides will share the story of Laura and how it all started. I imagine Laura will become an author as well. The tour guide will share Laura's love of piano and how she git started with her writings in her magical gardens. Benjamin will become the president of "Lauras Legacy" which will be an organization focused on giving back to your community and gardening. You guys we are watching history in the making and we will share with our great grandkids that we watched it being built daily through a service called RUclips.

@@ritasicari7518 my comment was just my vision of what I felt while I watched the video yesterday. I think maybe, that my comment was more of a lengthy compliment as I've observed a young couple come from humble means and 8 years later they are making great strides and I do feel they will one day retire and be admired by different generations.

From my experience the Sawara Cyprus typically dislike high wind and full blazing sun so would suggest putting them in a protected part sun area

It's hard to imagine having enough room for all those trees and shrubs you've been picking up. All are so unique and it will be so fun to watch your placement. Do the love the grass and heuchera bright spots you've added. Have you ever tried the squash blossoms? We just had them as appetizer at a restaurant yummy!
