First of all thanks for loving the vanilla tootsie rolls just as much as I do! Amazing video! Thanks again Promise! Love you both. Have an amazing time❤
That was awesome 🤩 I love the carpet in the hallways. I was waiting to see two little girls at the end 😂. The mountains and fall trees are beautiful. So happy you and Travis got away and had this experience. Thanks for taking us along.
Was amazing to see the old tin above you in the restaurant. We had several buildings in Watertown NY years ago with that design. Nut much left. Ask next time if you go about the dead frozen dude and the once a year celebration they have. It's cool 😎😎😎
This was amazing. You're videography was on point. And no, i did not know that this was filmed over 2 days. Great editing skills. Thanks for showing us something new.
It was sometimes hard for us to explain, but I guess the shining isn't really filmed here. It just was inspired by it and then they filmed the second movie here lol
Hi guys! Love it. I was raised in Denver and now live about 20 minutes from New Orleans. Miss my hometown but never stayed at the Stanley but drove past it a lot while going camping!
Hi Promise, I'm so glad you made it to Colorado. I love the Stanley hotel and have been there many times. It is so nice to see you here. I hope you enjoyed the wedding.
We definitely had a few weird experiences for sure. I don't know fully if I believe and ghost or not, but the Stanley definitely has some interesting vibes.
We didn't get to try their cherry pies, but they had a buffalo chicken pie that we got to try as well as their chocolate covered cherries, which were amazing!
This was great! The film is amazing. When the camera started glitching, I was like uh oh Mrs. Stanley does not want to be on camera but I was waiting for the eyes to blink. lol Spooky! The food looked delicious. Stephen King was in the film as the bands conductor and Stephen King hated the final version of the film by Stanley Kubrick.
@@PromiseHope He didn't like it because Stanley changed a lot from the book. Also kind of ironic that It was filmed at The STANLEY Hotel and directed by STANLEY Kubrick. Lol
I don't really watch scary movies unless they are award-winning or old. The shining happens to be both of those so I think it's worth a watch more of a psychological thriller for sure.
Cool video - we are adding that to our list of places to go. If you are ever in Oregon, check out Timberline Lodge - the Shining exterior shots were filmed there - we stayed there and seeing it for the first time was a bit creepy.
Really enjoyed this vlog Promise. Big fan of Stephen King & The Shining. Such a picturesque place ♥️. I hope your family in Sarasota are ok after the Hurricane. Did anything go bump in the night at The Stanley?
Oh, we definitely had some creepy things not caught on camera for sure and yes, the family is all safe. Thank God just still doing cleanup and waiting for power to be turned back on.🙌
Whiskey (with an e) made in the US. Whisky (without an e), supposed to be only in the UK. They may be importing their whisky. This is an awesome video. I am blown away to find out that the movies The Shining and Dumb and Dumber were filmed in the same hotel. That blows my mind.
This hotel is a bucket list item for me, since about 1978, Promise! I read The Shining back then, in junior high, before the movie came out. Speaking of interesting, haunted hotels.... I live in a tiny town in Michigan, which boasts a vintage, haunted inn - The Blue Pelican. From there, it's about an hour drive north, to the ferry that will take you (but not your car, no cars are allowed) to the island - Mackinac Island (pronounced "Mackinaw"). No motor vehicles are allowed on the island, but you can take a horse drawn carriage ride, or rent a bicycle for the day. The Grand Hotel is waiting for you on the island. This hotel was featured in the movie Somewhere In Time, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. You can tour the hotel, have lunch on the porch, or actually stay a couple of nights. Warning, though, you are expected to "dress for dinner" if you decide to dine in the dining room. Promise, you will love this experience in northern Michigan! 💜
Awesome vlog. But I have to ask….did you edit the ending or did the camera really stop working? I got the chills when that happened. That door and the hallway looked creepy I would not go In there for a million bucks lol. My wife and I want to go Estes park….its a 13 hour drive from Minnesota. My boss was there last week here daughter works at the Y outside of Estes park, she showed me elk walking outside their cabin.
That's so cool that you had other people that were just there… You guys should definitely make the 13 Hour Dr. why not lol and as for the ending, I like to leave it up to my viewer to decide what happened🙌🥶
@@PromiseHope we would want to stay at Denver and make the hike to Estes park and Rocky Mountain national park we love nature. I get a kick when you picked up the leaf and said something about you Floridians. We live in Moorhead Minnesota and leaves are at peak here. I love seeing all the orange, yellow colors on the trees….but that’s a sign that the cold winter days are coming haha. You and Travis are awesome to watch. Thanks for bringing us along
First of all thanks for loving the vanilla tootsie rolls just as much as I do! Amazing video! Thanks again Promise! Love you both. Have an amazing time❤
You are so welcome!
Estes Park is so beautiful! And the Stanley.... so cool! Glad you had the experience and thanks for sharing!

Love the vlog! Always wanted to stay at the Stanley! Now you reminded me, so I’m gonna go soon.
Go for it!
That was awesome 🤩 I love the carpet in the hallways. I was waiting to see two little girls at the end 😂. The mountains and fall trees are beautiful. So happy you and Travis got away and had this experience. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks thanks for coming along. Alyssa. Definitely different from your regular scheduled content!
Girl! I love the Stanley Hotel! And I live Estes Park! It is beautiful in the snow! Great video!
So amazing that you live there!
I loved this! 👻

That sounds really cool! And I totally agree with you. I love the gold tin ceiling.🥰
This was amazing. You're videography was on point. And no, i did not know that this was filmed over 2 days. Great editing skills. Thanks for showing us something new.
Yeah, I wasn't gonna say anything at the end and just make it seem as smooth as how I edited it but I always like letting you guys know the real deal🙌
Thank you Promise and Travis! This place is soooo cool!!
Thanks for coming along!
Love this for two reasons: 1. I had venison tacos last night and 2. Those vanilla tootsies are fire! 😂
This is the best comment I can't believe you had venison lol
I never knew this was the hotel The Shining was filmed at. That is so cool. The views are spectacular.
We flew in into Denver and really loves the whole time. We were there. Glad I got to bring you a little piece of home!
I wasn’t expecting this but YAY! 👻🖤👻
I'm happy to bring ya something new then!!!
Hi Promise, I'm so glad you made it to Colorado. I love the Stanley hotel and have been there many times. It is so nice to see you here. I hope you enjoyed the wedding.
That's so great that you've got to go there multiple times Rachel thanks so much for your comment!
Thanks Promise. I really enjoyed your video tour of the Stanley. I'm glad it all worked out.
Every time I see the book The Shining I think of Joey keeping it in the freezer because it scared him 😂
Wait, is that on a friends episode? Why do I not remember that lol

You are in an amazing place. Thank you for taking us long. Been a very long time since I have been there.
Thanks for coming along with us!
Awesome experience! I bet that had your spine tingling, didn't it?!!
We definitely had a few weird experiences for sure. I don't know fully if I believe and ghost or not, but the Stanley definitely has some interesting vibes.
It’s on my list to go at least once! Great vid! the scenery is so beautiful
Definitely worth it!!
Love this one! I’m not a spooky gal but I enjoyed learning about this hotel.
I'm exactly the same I don't like anything too dark or sinister but I really like historical places, especially ones with movie history🙌🏔️😱
I love that hotel! I've been twice but have never stayed. Be sure try the best pies EVERRRRR in the basement bakery!! 🥧 (Colorado Cherry Company)
We didn't get to try their cherry pies, but they had a buffalo chicken pie that we got to try as well as their chocolate covered cherries, which were amazing!

Yes, we were reading up about that which makes sense why Stephen King came back to film his own version. I wonder why he really didn't like it lol
@@PromiseHope He didn't like it because Stanley changed a lot from the book. Also kind of ironic that It was filmed at The STANLEY Hotel and directed by STANLEY Kubrick. Lol
Wow, the hotel and setting are beautiful! I've never watched The Shining. I'm a weenie😂😵😲😬🎃

Someone on Etsy takes the photo with Jack Nicholson and party goers and will add faces to it. Ours turned out great!
No way! That's awesome! Gotta go find it🪓
I was at the Stanley hotel tour a week ago I didn’t stay the night I just went for a tour
That's so cool yes, we realize a lot of people that are. There will just come for a dinner reservation or for a tour it's so much fun!
We went October 5
Can I ask if you think the Stanley was worth the money?
I honestly think that it's under priced for what you get. We really loved our stay and would 100% stay again.🙌
Just don’t try the Colorado oysters if you don’t know what they are
😂😂😂
Ummmm, was someone in the door at 37.14?
Probably 🥶
