These are exactly like my reasons why I stopped watching! In addition, I am not that convinced of some of the new characters, so I forced myself through season 11 and stopped after it.
i grew up with greys anatomy. took pre med because of this. 12 years of medical drama and now im practicing it. tho im not a doctor im a Medical Technologist.
Yeah, it inspired me too. I decided to do an intership at a clinic before university and quickly noticed that Grey's anatomy does not reflect anything in real life. Patients aren't fun and all look like law suits beggers. There are barely any friendship at hospital. Moreover, most doctors are already married and have families to worry about. Things get borring really fast and feels like slavery ... always doing the same things, to weak patients. The only cool thing i did, was to attend a sex change surgery, but i bet doing this more than 20 times would start to get boring.
@@xxxxxxuan pre med? Its hard.. all books, tests and home works, presentations and also internship - fun part for me. But when you've finished, got that degree, got your license, here in the philippines you must be Registered Medical Technologist before you can work... The feeling is satisfying especially right now in the pandemic that Med Techs are in demand all over the world.
That scene were April gave birth was intense! Sarah is such a great actress, I actually felt the pain. No wonder after that scream her baby thought it's time to get out
Should've included that Jessica capshaw originally auditioned for nurse rose and didn't get her. She auditioned for the show 3 times then got the role of Arizona. And Sara Ramirez basically got to choose what show she wanted to be on after shonda rhimes saw Sara perform in spamalot
Strangely enough Grey's Anatomy was one of the reasons for me to become an organ donor. I would have probably never known of it had I not grown up with the show
I have to disagree with number one. Watching the show actually made me change my license to organ donor and sparked the conversation with my family. We all decided that we want anything that can be donated to be because if I can't be around then we would want someone else to get a better chance of being so. Might just be us though idk
Major plot twist. By the end of the show it’s gonna be “Boki memorial hospital”. She’ll be not only the chief of surgery but also the chief resident. We’ve all underestimated her. This is a joke obviously btw
In spite of one episode portraying organ donation in a negative way, Grey's Anatomy is seriously showing what good organ donation can do. I am considering donating, where I was not before watching the show.
PineapplesLife Greatness Also, if you are that far behind, don't watch a "Top 10 ________ Moments of Grey's Anatomy". That includes facts about the show
I read he said homophobic comments about TR Knight while choking Dempsey. I don't know how much of this is true but it's pretty well known that Isaiah is homophobic.
galaxyedits ughhh i read that he was shouting at Patrick like "i'm not weak (with a much stronger, rude word that disrespects homosexuality)" but TR Knight wasn't even there and he didn't came out yet when it happened, so idk
Marcela Sanchez Both actors revealed that Washington directed a homophobic slur to TR Knight due to him being gay in real life, twice. He called him a faggot first and then went on to say something else, but can't remember what it was.
Great facts ☺️💞 Even though I knew almost all of them ( I'm such a geek😂) your videos are great 👌 another fact: grey's anatomy started exactly today, 12 years ago
www.accesshollywood.com/articles/sarah-drew-on-giving-birth-early-whats-next-for-april-on-greys-156949/ This article is dated Feb 2015 which places is at S11 (Samuel's Birth since as we all know Harriet was born in the S12 finale)
Aidan Bunce it was S11 since Feb 2015 was during S11 and the S12 finale wasn't filmed until late 2015 or early 16 (and it didn't air until May 2016...over a year after Sarah gave birth)
The show really does a good job with their portrayal of organ donation. I first started to consider becoming an organ donor because of this show and did become one when my father’s life depended on it. It’s such an emotional heartbreaking and heartwarming process at the same time. Grey’s really captures the brutal reality of these situations. Someone has to die for the donee to live and it’s such an amazing gift. I always got emotional watching the episodes with organ donation, now I almost can’t watch without bawling
All this video did was make me miss the good old days of Grey's :') Nothings the same anymore- from the funny moments to the interesting cases to the playful bantering the 5 friends and sometimes their attendings. Gah how i wish theyd bring the old grey's vibe back! Now its just merediths mood swings and 57 stepsisters and different boyfriends and what not. ugh. even the music is not the same anymore
My favorite fact I learned was the original pilot was was filmed without the character Alex. Any scene with him in it was added in reshoots or they added him digitally. It's weird that the show almost didn't have Alex. Him and Mer are the only original interns left
The only surprising thing about it is that a few characters are still alive 😅. I stopped watching when Derek died because the show just got unrealistic beyond all hope. And yes, it's just a tv show but you can write a character exit without killing them. No one would survive one of their best friends (George), their sister (Lexie) and the love of their life (Derek) dying in a very short space of time. Meredith was very damaged to begin with for god's sake 😅. I don't even know how many characters have died since season 11 and I don't wanna know.
I'm pretty sure that's not the time when Sara Drew gave birth. It was during the storyline when April gave birth to her son, not daughter. I remember because she gave an interview where she said she distinctly told Shonda Rhimes that she didn't want to have a pushing scene during while she was really pregnant. I could be wrong though lol
On the organ donation one I thought the opposite because people see that there are not enough organ donors and how they can help that person and their family
Am I the only one who thinks Pompeo was being silly and self-centered (kind of like her character) by demanding that Washington not play Dr. Shepard? Who cares if her husband in real life is black? Why should that impact Shonda Rhimes' vision or Isaiah Washington's career???
I never have seen anything of this and hopefully never will. Dr. House now is an opera singer and dances on your graves, quote "Hüpfen und Singen, Tanzen und Springen is not the way of the Jedi!"
ok I don’t know if this is just me but at 1:25 the girl looks a lot like Susan grey. I think I am most definitely missing something and they were played by the same actor. I think that’s a cool coincidence that if he did end up playing dr. Shepherd they would meet again.
Bokie is the only one who is going to end up surviving
Cindy San Jose 😂😂😂
Cindy San Jose fr 😂
True the hospital will burn down completely and she will survive
Cindy San Jose who is bokie?
Lilly Maiglock A scrub nurse that has been on Grey's Anatomy since season 1
when you realize it was omalley who was hit by the bus..ugh chills and tears every time
same though,, i almost cried while watching that short few seconds of mer screaming "oh god"
It was so sadddd😩😩 I cried all night lol
Im not kidding I cried myself to sleep that night fr
Heighton 720 yeah i cried
And when Shonda legit fucks with us all when Lexi says his feet are too small and for a moment we all think it was a mistake.
Meredith and Preston together would have been tragic
Asia Hunter oh god
oh gosh
Should have said
From McDreamy to McSteamy we have everything in betweeny
Bad Animatoons legit just thinking that
I was thinking about this too
Yes
Or mcbetween
(i know bad joke)
when Chasing Cars comes on you know someones gonna die
trueee
Callie didn’t die 😲😲
Accurate
And how to save a life
JR SmileyFace what song is chasing cars for?
"Nobody knows where they might end up, nobody knows...."
Cheria Harris dead
They
Will
All
End
Up
Dead
Cheria Harris lmao this made me laugh wayyyy to hard
same thinking haha
Dead they all end up dead
They. Will. All. End. Up. Dead.
i miss when greys anatomy had a theme song
megan archbold righttttt
I know
They still play part of it over the closing credits.
i never noticed that the song callie sang when she first got in the car accident is that song lol
Yes!!
I almost forgot how much I love and miss Grey's Anatomy. But, you know, the good old days with the original cast, not all those new characters.
These are exactly like my reasons why I stopped watching! In addition, I am not that convinced of some of the new characters, so I forced myself through season 11 and stopped after it.
exactly. I watched till (spoiler) end of Derek then I just couldn't. Everyone was gone and it didn't felt like Greys anymore :(
Same...
I actually stopped watching after *SPOILER* Mark died :'(
I stopped watching after Season 10 and now I only re-watch S1 to 10
I miss mark and lexi ;c
Grey's Anatomy is the reason I'm an organ donor.
Jocelyn same
OMG SAME
Jocelyn I'm in university considering becoming a doctor because of this show
Saaammmeee
Can I ask why?
Fact: All your favorite characters die or leave besides Alex and Mer
Syd k agreed
and bokhee she’s still there lmao
Sydney H wish that wasn’t true buuut it is
Lol
What about Miranda Bailey?
“nobody knows where they might end up, nobody knows...” yeah, dead 💀
Honestly, even if Meredith and Derek wasn’t a thing, they would look good together in real life 😍
i grew up with greys anatomy. took pre med because of this. 12 years of medical drama and now im practicing it. tho im not a doctor im a Medical Technologist.
YenChaChi i’m 14 and this show makes me want to be a doctor so bad, and i think i’m going to do it
Yeah, it inspired me too. I decided to do an intership at a clinic before university and quickly noticed that Grey's anatomy does not reflect anything in real life. Patients aren't fun and all look like law suits beggers. There are barely any friendship at hospital. Moreover, most doctors are already married and have families to worry about. Jules A thank you for telling the real part of it
omg how’s it like ?
@@xxxxxxuan pre med? Its hard.. all books, tests and home works, presentations and also internship - fun part for me. Grey's Anatomy is the best show. It literally changed my life.
You can do a top ten Grey's Anatomy chairs list and I would still watch every second of it.
Tuki 789 LMAO same
That scene were April gave birth was intense! Sarah is such a great actress, I actually felt the pain. No wonder after that scream her baby thought it's time to get out
Yeah, the hospital is called Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital but in my heart it will always be Seattle Grace ❤️😂
part of that is my refusal to accept lexie and mark are dead (i’m still not over that 😒)
Should've included that Jessica capshaw originally auditioned for nurse rose and didn't get her. She auditioned for the show 3 times then got the role of Arizona. And Sara Ramirez basically got to choose what show she wanted to be on after shonda rhimes saw Sara perform in spamalot
The only thing between mc. Dreamy and mc. Steamy is Addison Montgomery
I'm so sorry that was so bad
and Cristina Yang
Mary Dempsey what?
And the Grey sisters :D
Let’s not
Lmao haha
Strangely enough Grey's Anatomy was one of the reasons for me to become an organ donor. I would have probably never known of it had I not grown up with the show

We all decided that we want anything that can be donated to be because if I can't be around then we would want someone else to get a better chance of being so. Might just be us though idk
Jackie G I did the same thing 💖
I agree but I have heard doctors try less to save your life if you are an organ donor, because all they want are your organs when deceased.
Major plot twist. By the end of the show it’s gonna be “Boki memorial hospital”. She’ll be not only the chief of surgery but also the chief resident. We’ve all underestimated her.
This is a joke obviously btw
That’s why all the older episodes are better because all of the older characters were more devoted, I still love the show though ❤️
In spite of one episode portraying organ donation in a negative way, Grey's Anatomy is seriously showing what good organ donation can do. I am considering donating, where I was not before watching the show.
I want to go back to season one and watch it up until george dies then change the rest
Olivia Abeziz I'm on season 1. Thx for spoiling it
PineapplesLife Greatness it was in the video anyway, and if you didn't want spoilers then why would you even watch this?
PineapplesLife Greatness Also, if you are that far behind, don't watch a "Top 10 ________ Moments of Grey's Anatomy". That includes facts about the show
Olivia Abeziz Netflix
I want George Lexie mark and Derek to all be aliveeee :( and I wish Cristina were still there
Isaiah was so great, such a shame he had to be written out... I loved the reunion episodes with Christina.
he wouldn't have had to be written out if he weren't a homophobic PoS.
I read from somewhere on the internet saying that it was actually misusing of rude and strong words, but not homophobic...?
Fun fact: Grey's anatomy ruined Goerge, and killed every character
Great facts ☺️💞 Even though I knew almost all of them ( I'm such a geek😂) your videos are great 👌 another fact: grey's anatomy started exactly today, 12 years ago
wow cool
Oh I feel so old now, 12 years?
Clara Clorox
Wtf is wrong with you ?
really??? its older than me yet i love it
They aren't great facts. They r "grey facts"
"Nobody know where they might end up." I do. 😄
Dead 😐
SupBro Gaming calm down Mr. Edge. I pricked my finger on your edge
I've been watching Grey's Anatomy since day one and I think it gets better and better. I'll never get tired of it 🙈
Globale Katjastrophe Sucks they killed Derek off
Simply Syd102 Christina was waaay worse imo. Anyway, for everyone who goes or dies someone equally great comes :)
Am I the only one who was really bothered about the fake eyelash curling 😂
Ann Zym yeahhhh
I always hated the opening credits. When I go back and watch the earlier seasons, I cringe. It's so cliche. Much better now.
Sarah did give birth shortly after filming a birth scene but I don't think it was the S12 finale...I think it was when she gave birth to Samuel in S11
Im pretty sure it was S12
www.accesshollywood.com/articles/sarah-drew-on-giving-birth-early-whats-next-for-april-on-greys-156949/
This article is dated Feb 2015 which places is at S11 (Samuel's Birth since as we all know Harriet was born in the S12 finale)
ah your right, sorry
Yeah I mean I don't think an 8 months pregnant actress would push and shout like that in a scene. Its not healthy.
Aidan Bunce it was S11 since Feb 2015 was during S11 and the S12 finale wasn't filmed until late 2015 or early 16 (and it didn't air until May 2016...over a year after Sarah gave birth)
Between McDreamy and McSteamy? Yes, please.
Sarah Drew during the birthing scene honestly got to me! She’s an amazing actress
I saw greys anatomy and I had to click
The show really does a good job with their portrayal of organ donation. I first started to consider becoming an organ donor because of this show and did become one when my father’s life depended on it. I could totally see Rob Lowe as Mcdreamy though !
Mphajay same
Lowe and Dempsey both have great hair!
Mphajay Same 😍😍
Mphajay I see Ian somerhalder or Paul Wesley as him I don't even know but god damn I mean I would kill to see them in doctors uniform
Mphajay what the frick, rob Lowe looks hella crusty
That clip from the outsiders though🤭🥰 I love the outsiders!💕
All this video did was make me miss the good old days of Grey's :')
Nothings the same anymore- from the funny moments to the interesting cases to the playful bantering the 5 friends and sometimes their attendings. Gah how i wish theyd bring the old grey's vibe back! Nikita jha but they said this new season will be funnier and light
1:15 lmao is that susan? 😂😂😂😂
Edit: Greys Anatomy no longer uses real organs so... vegetarians can enjoy greys too
Yup
Yes, Mare Winningham!
Yeah she played Wendy in st elmos fire
Going on 13 years! I love this show!
Grey's used to be soooo good!
Chalynda Jackson ummm it still is sooo good like tf
Astrid Gomez "TF" The fuck? lol
Yeah it used to be good.
Chalynda Jackson I listed the originals
*liked
The actress that plays Eliza Minnick is the wife of the actor that played Henry.
Sedd I miss Henry
Scott Foley ❤️
Henry was a good character I wish he lived
_also Eliza’s annoying as hell_
Captain jake Ballard
When you're Greys trash and knew all of these
It's just such an awesome show
One of my favorite shows ...been looking at it since 19 when it premiered.
Anyone notice that the woman at 1:23 played Susan Grey??
BCFs And Stuff lmao
Who is Susan grey?
ThunderCookie101 Merediths Step mother how do you not know that
Rob Lowe was hanging out with Meredith's step mom in St Elmos Fire
when the outsiders popped up I went crazy haha
The scene where Callie claimed the underwear is where I fell in love with her character before that scene I hated her
This is the greatest television show I've ever sat down to watch. Ty Shonda
12 years!
“Complications” would have been a pretty accurate title for the show lol but “Grey’s Anatomy” is so much more original
Who doesn't know "Grey's Anatomy" is a play on words from "Gray's Anatomy"? it's obvious.
Grey's anatomy
Yeah, i have that Grays Anatomy book. I was so confused!
im surprised they didnt add the fact that they added in lexie's stress eating due to chyler being pregnant during the time.
Loved all the seasons of Grey's Anatomy. Loved this fact session too.
You passed up a golden opportunity to say "From McDreamy to McSteamy and everything in betweeny."
My favorite fact I learned was the original pilot was was filmed without the character Alex. Any scene with him in it was added in reshoots or they added him digitally. It's weird that the show almost didn't have Alex. Him and Mer are the only original interns left
The one with Alex when he got shot, I literally watched that episode last night
Greys anatomy: The show we’re the doctors die more often then the Patients
The only surprising thing about it is that a few characters are still alive 😅. I stopped watching when Derek died because the show just got unrealistic beyond all hope. And yes, it's just a tv show but you can write a character exit without killing them. No one would survive one of their best friends (George), their sister (Lexie) and the love of their life (Derek) dying in a very short space of time. Meredith was very damaged to begin with for god's sake 😅. I don't even know how many characters have died since season 11 and I don't wanna know.
I always thought that Shonda might wanted Meredith and Preston to have relationship and it is true I see.
rayana jahra WHAT THE F..????????
I honestly became inspired to become an organ donor when I’m old enough.
Do people really not know Gray's Anatomy was a medical text? That's really sad.
OMG THE OUTSIDERS!!!! I LOVE JOHNNY CADE!!
Grey's Anatomy is one of the reason I decided to be an organ donor. Seeing all those people who have to wait, possibly years, to get an organ!
In the beginning I wanted her to say "and everything in betweeny" 😂
From McDreamy to McSteamy to everything in between-y
Patrick Demsey was the best character in the show.
Did she really say "Dr.Derek McDreamy Shepard"?
interesting list, I only knew #4 but I'm very proud organ donation
Sarah didnt push for that pregnancy it was for april's baby samuel because sarah didnt wanna push while pregnant
05:23 and that guy died
ahh i’m so happy this didn’t have too many spoilers in seasons 6-
This show is so sad but true:'(
is it concerning that I already know all these?😂
Also in that episode when Alex got shot… Derek and Owen did too
Sex and Surgery is a very accurate title lmao
my mom's cousin tia napolitano writes some of the shows on Grey's anatomy and I met her
“McDreamy....McSteamy....and everything in betweeny”
im so glad that Rob Lowe didn't get the part. i wouldn't have watched it if he did... can't stand him
badkitty101 I can only see Patrick Dempsey as McDreamy, sorry! I didn’t even like Lowe as a teen idol!
I LOVE GREYS SO MUCH
I'm pretty sure that's not the time when Sara Drew gave birth. It was during the storyline when April gave birth to her son, not daughter. I remember because she gave an interview where she said she distinctly told Shonda Rhimes that she didn't want to have a pushing scene during while she was really pregnant.
I could be wrong though lol
Also fun fact: that’s Merediths step mom / Lexie’s mom @ 1:15 😇
Fun fact: they killed off most of the best main characters
0:36 OMG I DIED!
On the organ donation one I thought the opposite because people see that there are not enough organ donors and how they can help that person and their family
i creid when she used a happy tone saying tht george got hit by a bus
“George getting hit by a bus” *crying*
I watched Greys way before I got to be a nurse and they were always inspiring me to donate my organs, so eh.
wait when did christina have a surgery??
why’d she say george got hit by a bus so positively haha
Arizona and Callie should have been there till the end. Honestly would be the best thing ever
I already knew all of these facts....
Am I the only one who thinks Pompeo was being silly and self-centered (kind of like her character) by demanding that Washington not play Dr. Shepard? Who cares if her husband in real life is black? Why should that impact Shonda Rhimes' vision or Isaiah Washington's career???
It didn't impact Shondas vision? Smh. If it did, they wouldn't have hired her to play the character? Jfc. It's common sense.
That was fake but ok
If Rob Lowe would have taken that roll, I think Derek would still be there. LoL.
The reason I started watching this show was because it was named after my textbook in college🤣🤣🤣
I never have seen anything of this and hopefully never will. Dr. House now is an opera singer and dances on your graves, quote
"Hüpfen und Singen,
Tanzen und Springen
is not the way of the Jedi!"
ok I don’t know if this is just me but at 1:25 the girl looks a lot like Susan grey. I think I am most definitely missing something and they were played by the same actor. I think that’s a cool coincidence that if he did end up playing dr. Shepherd they would meet again.
