  • Lovely place I found, just the other side of St Helens from where I live. A great place to spend an hour or 2 walking the dogs, taking the kids.
Here's some info on the project, make a visit yourself!
"Dream" is a 20 metre high sculpture located on the former site of Sutton Manor Colliery in St Helens, designed by world-renowned and award-winning artist, Jaume Plensa.
The sculpture takes form of a young girl's head. Her eyes are closed in a dream-like state. The white, almost luminescent finish is a stark contrast to the history of the site and the black of the coal that still lies in the ground below. The facial contours and reflectivity changes regularly due to changing weather and light conditions.
Dream was commissioned by both ex-miners and St Helens' Council with the aim of reflecting the aspirations of the community. It was decided a mining monument was far from the wishes of the community and instead, a forward-looking piece that would inspire generations.
Above honouring the human heritage of the site, Dream is also intended to symbolise St Helens' post-industrial transformation and become regional landmark.
Over 35million visitors a year pass the sculpture close to junction 7 on the M62, half way between Liverpool and Manchester.
Please note that due to the gradient of the path, the summit of Sutton Manor has never been easily accessible to wheelchair users.
As seen in the Netflix series, 'Stay Close.'

Great views of the sculpture and surrounding area. Very cinematic in terms of camera movement, music choice and time of filming during golden hour!

Cheers Col, tbh it didn't turn out like expected 🤣. I never really wanted to use 2 tracks, never wanted it that long and wished I did more with the Avata. You, can't win em all! 🤣.
Thanks for the feedback as always, much appreciated 👍😁

@@shadyproductionsinc.2931 Yeh, I get that it can be difficult during the editing process when you have a lot of footage to choose from. Have to be quite brutal at times in selecting best clips that progress the video rather than adding very similar shots to fill out the music. It's all a learning process each time you film and edit a video. Good to push the boundaries and try new things.

Cheers mate, to be honest I never knew it existed till I was Google mapping about. I've been there a couple of times now, it's a nice chilled walk.
Nice one for the comment, much appreciated 👍
