Thanks for going in depth about so many aspects of Madison! This is a very comprehensive guide for anyone considering Madison and would definitely be super helpful. Personally, I would love to hear more about the specific classes you took at Madison and any tips that you might have on fully utilizing the academic resources to tap into your potential. It is very easy to get overwhelmed as an underclassman, so any advice would be great!

Hi
Can u provide email address or contact number....
Congrats! That's really exciting news! Good luck on this new phase of your life
@@sourishk07 Thank you the only that I was worried about was adjusting with the weather as I've mostly lived in the south.
Haha well in that case, it'll definitely be a new experience for you. But don't worry, my friends at Madison that grew up in California adapted just fine to the weather!
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
This was was a very helpful video; it provided unique insight that I was able to harness and include in the application process that ultimately, I believe, was a major contributing factor in my acceptance.
I'm really glad to hear that! Really excited for you to start this new chapter of your life!
Just got in the business school for BUSINESS: REAL ESTATE AND URBAN LAND ECONOMICS.
Congrats! That's really exciting!
I just received an admit from UWM for fall 24 for MS in IE. Firstly thanks for the wonderful video. Im from India as well. Is there any chance you could have an idea of the job opportunities post graduation? I tried LinkedIn as well but havent heard back from the one's i tried to connect.
Congratulations on getting in! The great news is that job opportunities are plentiful for Madison alumni! I can mainly speak for tech, but I have friends working at Microsoft, Google, Tesla, Amazon, TikTok, DataDog, Nvidia, Facebook, Apple, etc... You'll find fellow Badgers at pretty much any tech company.
@@sourishk07 Thank you so much for the information and reply. ❤️
So I just got in yesterday morning, and I am really happy. But, I am kind of worried about the party and drinking culture. I'm not really into those things, and from what I've read is that it could be a problem. I just need some more info tho, to gauge whether it's a good fit for me. Also, I applied for CS, so did I get a direct admit into CS, or how does the process work?
Congratulations! Very exciting news!
I understand your concern; partying and drinking is very common on campus, but given the large student body size, it's pretty easy to find people whose values align with your own and also don't drink and party. I wouldn't be worried about that.
Also, because CS is in the college of Letters & Science, you only need to have been admitted to that college. You then declare your major a couple semesters into college. It's a relatively straight forward process and I've never heard of anyone getting rejected from the major.
That’s amazing to hear. Thanks for the reply.
I have got acceptance in UW in College of Letter & Science. I applied for Computer science major but they don't accept on intended majors. Can you guide me how much is it ensured that I will get acceptance in CS from 2nd yr? What is the actual procedure?
My son got admitted to UW Madison for fall 2024....Do we have any group where he can join and collaborate with future badgers..
Hi! That's awesome to hear! I would recommend joining the Facebook group for his year at UW-Madison. Also, feel free to reach out at sourishk97 [at] gmail.com with any questions
Hey i really liked the video. I have an offer letter from UW Madison but i am confused on whether to got for it or not, i am thinking about Texas A&M (college station) and UW Madison. It would be great if you could give your opinion on that it would really help me choose..... (I am going for fall 2024)
Hi! I unfortunately do not know much about Texas A&M. I can only really speak to Madison, at which I had a really good time. I would recommend reaching out to alumni from Texax A&M for more information! What are you planning on majoring in?
@@sourishk07 planning to major in Computer Science
Nice! I would check out resources like Reddit, Rate My Professor, or reach out to alumni on LinkedIn for more information regarding the CS program there! Good luck!
Hello, I´m a Mexican School Counselor and also , I want to see is there any possibility to offer a zoom or a meeting with my students in Guadalajara, and also people from other schools in my profession al job as AN INDEPENDENT COUNSELLOR. It was help full all info given
Hello, I just got accepted for undergraduate Data Science. I want to work in Financial institutions like banks/hedge funds/ private equity etc.I would like to pursue a double major in data science and finance/economics. Would you be able to tell me how the job and internship opportunities are for intl students?
Hi! I appreciate you watching! That sounds like a really cool combination. The job opportunities are going to be a little bit harder if you're an international student, just because companies may be hesitant to sponsor a visa. However, I have a lot of friends at Madison who were also international students and they didn't let that stop them and are at very successful companies. At the end of the day, if you work hard,. are passionate about what you're learning, and showcase that passionate to potential employers, it'll be really hard for an employer to pass you up!
Got it . Thank you so much !

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with all of the above universities. It's really incredible that your son got into all of these universities, but I can only speak to my experience at UW-Madison, which was superb. I recommend trying to find students or alumni of these other universities if you would like more information! However, I hope that Madison is at the top of your son's list!
@sourishk07 Thank you, Mr.Sourish.
Thank you much for nice information
My daughter got admitted for fall2024. I am looking for estimated living costs. Appreciate if you can share it or I can connect with you if you share contact details
That's great to hear! Congrats to your daughter. Living expenses can vary depending on how many roommates you have, location on campus, and if she wants to share a room. My rent was around $850 dollars after I was done living in the dorms, and I had my own room and three other roommates. In terms of other daily expenses, like food, they were very moderate, maybe like $100 to $200 a month if I remember correctly? Given I'm in California right now, everything in Wisconsin seems much cheaper in retrospect though.
Hey, I just have a few questions about Wisconsin, and I’m kind of deciding my university right now. Is there any way I could contact you? Maybe email? I’d be very appreciative and reaching out to different people rn.
Hi
